Back from Best Buy, after buying two DP to HDMI adapters (for my two monitors). The reason is, of course, to prep for VR (and I haven’t even ran a WMR readiness test (yet) to see if the RX580 was the way to go). I’m just (hopefully) assuming it is, given how I’ve gotten high praise for saying I was going to get one.
Anyway, got home and installed the new hardware. First the primary, which I was greatly skeptical that daisy chaining the HDMI to VGA adapter to this (and still get a picture).
But even though this is an old monitor, it worked! Got a picture, with no (noticeable) latency.
The same couldn’t be said for the secondary, which I was pretty sure wouldn’t have an issue (as it’s a younger monitor). …No signal. Tried unplugging the primary and tried only having the secondary plugged.. still nothing. Wow. The irony. First my older monitor wouldn’t work with that waste of money I can’t get back, and now my secondary won’t work.
Thankfully (unlike my primary at the time), it’ll still work when plugged into a HDMI port. So I’m not fucked, and have to buy something else. The only thing I need to do is to get back up to Best Buy, and get my money back.

However, I wonder if this means I’m now screwed out of getting WMR. Even though I now have a free HDMI port for it, I wonder if this would be enough. I want to believe “yes”, but to urge on the side of caution, I asked in the VRChat Discord server and an acquaintance of mine (who has WMR) if I would be OK.
Hopefully I’ll get a response of what my options are.

EDIT: The acquaintance of mine got to me first. After lots of confusion of trying to explain to him (who’s not that tech savvy) my current monitor/port setup, he recommended to get something like this, then get the WMR set. In addition, he said to hold up on the PSU (unless I absolutely need it).
He basically thought like I did, where I was unsure if I should get the newer PSU now or later. Depending if WMR increases power consumption drastically (or very little), I might not even need the upgrade.
He also verified that WMR will only take one (1) HDMI port, and one (1) USB port. Which makes me scratch my head, if I even need that splitter. But since it’s $8, what the hell.
Maybe I’ll focus on getting WMR first. And if I need the splitter, I’ll get it. The same thing for the PSU. The only thing that worries me is of course the age of my current PSU. But I mentioned this a long time ago, and tried to do something about it (only for it to be DOA).
