I thought I could trust him. I thought by unblocking him from VRChat and Discord, he would turn over a new leaf. But I should had known, the old Ashi (that I met when things were cool) is dead. In its replacement, is an Ashi that is highly manipulative (to the point of faking his death, and… even lying about being hacked).
That’s what happened, early this morning (around 2-5am). And I saw all of it…. but I wasn’t alone this time. His closest friends now know. On top of it, one of his now former friends is telling the Best Boi community to re-ban him.
And now I have less than four hours to get this typed, and published before the EU meeting starts. On top of that, I’m also dealing with Creepery (who’s beside himself).
How it started, the only thing (from my POV), is I was in a room with a couple of his friends (and himself). I didn’t really hear the conversation (as I was too busy checking out the new toys of this Star Wars-themed world). Suddenly, he pops off the server without warning. All I assumed is he probably logged out for the night. So I did my thing, playing around with the two vehicles there.
Sometime later, I check Discord and notice one of Ashi’s friends.. telling the Best Boi Discord server to block Ashi. I’m highly confused of what’s going on. Weren’t we friends with him before? What happened?

I go to the New Dook City [Beta], and I see Ashi saying that Lazerwolf “dumped him”. Five minutes later, someone comes on his account, claiming they drove to his house, and saying he’s dead. Yet lacked compassion, which would be sure signs that this wasn’t a lie.
Then he (who clearly is still Ashi) sitting there saying how “his friends miss him”. And I almost fell for it. But as I read it closer, I thought “no way.. this has to be Ashi doing another ‘pity party'”.
Still, I had to get Jero involved in this (as none of them knew what was going on). Tracked him down, and tried to get him to follow me to a quiet place. But we ended up going off the world to talk about this. He felt that Ashi could had taken his life, then said he was going to get someone to talk about this, then opened a private instance of The Hub).
There, we did most of our discussions, with more of Ashi’s friends popping in (to where we had about six people (including myself)). Covita also popped in, which became a huge asset in analyzing (and revealing) what was a lie, and what wasn’t.
Spoilers: It was all lies. On top that, someone named ‘Zard’ claims to have hacked Ashi’s account… which turns into a lie as well.
Wow, first, saying you’re dead (and faking it), and then then saying you got both your VRChat and Discord accounts hacked (which turned into another lie)? This is a new low, Ashi. Even for you.
Then Ashi tried to go to Jero (with him going to another world), saying that he “loved him” and shit like that. Covita’s all “this is the same shit I got”. While this was going on, all of it was starting to really bother me and I had to go sit down. I’m all “I believed him. It was nothing but lies.. more lies.” Thankfully, I felt strength in the words of one of the people that were there (and stopped letting this bother me).
A bit later, Covita told us to get him back in here. But since Jero created the instance, we couldn’t. So one of the people we were with, decided to create a new instance in the Presentation Room. I was the first to get through, followed by the others. They tried to get Jero back, but he wouldn’t come back. And as this was going on, Ashi banned Covita (for uncovering all of these lies), followed by more bans.. even of one that was simply trying to defuse the situation.
Jero also became a victim of the bans, and when he returned to us, you could almost hear him… crying, through his mic. He was visibly upset, being Ashi’s top admin for a very long time (and stating also attempting to sort things out with his enemies), and being betrayed like this…? Damn. He was the true victim here. If it wasn’t for Covita, though, he probably wouldn’t believe it.
Eventually, things started to calm down enough for most of us to get off for the night, as this was happening way past their bedtime.
Today, I got several DMs waiting for me when I booted my computer up. None of them were from Ashi (as I had re-blocked him in Discord and VRChat). I’m undoing my mistake. Plus, I don’t want to be a part of the ‘driving force’ of this. I’ve learned my lesson.
One of those DMs, was from Creepery. And his words were highly discouraging. His past (before he joined the Best Bois), is still eating at him. And sadly.. Ashi is preying upon his weaknesses (making him believe the ones that were trying to expose Ashi for what he is, are “treating Ashi like trash”.. and even saying he’s going to leave the Best Bois and go to Ashi if they don’t stop.
A friendly (but very firm) intervention is in order! And after a long discussion of him “leaving the past behind”, I feel he believes me again. And I love how I never take my own words to heart with my own life. It’s really ironic. I’m so good at saying advice, but not when it comes to accepting it.
I don’t know what’s going to happen now. Ashi could interrupt the meeting (and do what he did last night). Or, maybe he won’t even show up. I’m no mind reader.
But whatever happens, I’m not giving him a 3rd chance. However, I do have a new ‘responsibility’. I’m going to stay in his Discord server (but in Invisible mode), and forward anything he says (about this) to his former friends.
Aka, doing what Covita has done. Taking screenshots and stuff like that.
