R.I.P Secondary Monitor – 20??-2017 (but I bought a replacement)

Monitor: “HEY! Heard you’re saving money for PC parts? Welp..TOO BAD! Now you have to buy a replacement me! :D”
TV: “I’m so sorry for your loss, user. But I can work as a temporary secondary monitor for you ’till you can afford a new one! I hope you don’t mind the awkwardness.”

Son of a BLIP! I can’t believe this crap. It was working FINE yesterday!! However, I believe I remember what caused it. My mother needed to look up something, and I turned my secondary monitor to face her. It blinked strangely as if there was a short in the wire, but it turned itself back on and I noticed no more issues. And yesterday after booting up, it was blinking off and on but then turned itself on fully (with no issues afterwards).

…But today, I’m seeing a constant 4 seconds on, 2 seconds off blinking of the light. It refuses to give me a picture, period. Unplugged it from the switcher and directly plugged into my computer..no picture. Even tried directly plugging it into my PS4…no picture.

I have a few spare monitors in storage, but this was before I got my 750Ti and had to get new ones because of the adapters (no more VGA, it’s DVI and HDMI now). Thankfully the affected monitor has a VGA port which allowed me to unplug one of the VGA to VGA cables off of one of the old monitors, and try to see if it was this is just a short with the DVI to HDMI cable causing the issues… but it wasn’t; monitor light still blinking.
It’s official: it’s dead, Jim. And I’m still going “but that’s impossible!” as the fucking thing WAS WORKING BEFORE!!! UGH!! D:(

I have no choice but to buy a replacement secondary monitor. I am happy that it wasn’t my video card. Yet if it was, the primary monitor wouldn’t be working. I’m also happy that I can awkwardly AF (as I’ve been used to a monitor all my computing life) use my TV as a temp monitor.

.
EDIT: Tonight I went up to Best Buy and I bought this thing for $100. Saved $80 (says this monitor was originally $180..NICE savings). I just couldn’t handle the awkwardness of using a TV as a monitor anymore. I don’t see how certain people can do it.
This one has its ‘On’ light as an LED which is shining on my computer table (instead of a small light on the front of the monitor). The screen is also brighter than my primary, even with Windows 10’s Night Light. But I’m sure I’ll get used to it eventually.
Funny thing though. Before I got the 750Ti, both of my monitors were Acer. And now it’s happened again. This one having not just DVI and VGA support, but also HDMI. Not bad.

Just got done getting it set up. It’s quite bright compared to my primary. Considering of switching monitors
