Another boring yesterday, hanging out in Kovo’s world for most of the day. Tried to visit moon_shadow, but he was asleep in a world (literally laying in a bed). Started feeling drowsy from sitting infront of a mirror for hours, that I tried to fall asleep in VR.
After replacing the batteries in my controllers and putting my headset back on, everyone was gone from the world. How odd.
Moon_Shadow was also up, and in another world. Went to go visit him.. stuck on a black screen. It appears the game was getting DDoS’d again (probably from furry haters).
Force closed the client and relaunched, then tried it again. This time I was able to get into the world Moon was.
Interesting world. Had a bunch of statue-like avatars on the sides. Caught up with moon and talked a bit. Then I started hearing music. What was puzzling, is I got my SoundFX turned off. So it was someone, but I didn’t see who and stayed with Moon. Suddenly he starts hysterically laughing and says “look behind you!” Ballistic was the one playing
music, fucking with me. Heh, nice!

He then asks me to follow him to a specific avatar statue, asking if I know this person. Sadly I do not, and he says this is his new boyfriend ‘Yachty’. He also tells me that this person apologized for what Wuffer did to me. That was nice of them.
I told Ballistic “I wish Wuffer would apologize”. He said “he’s out of our hair for now.” Something about he took money and didn’t want to pay it back, and they repeatably tried to call him. Finally, Wuffer had to sell his Oculus, a monitor, and half of his possessions to cover the cost.

I would call this ‘indirect revenge’ for what he did to me (and Ballistic). It’s going to take him months to recover from this (not to mention his reputation is now ruined).
Love it. I fucking, love it. Justice has been served.
Also, not related to this (but the first thing). Ballistic asked us to join another world he’s working on.. black screen again. Went to Steam to try and verify the installation, and noticed the devs snuck a surprise update about the time the issue started happening. But I did a check anyway. Good thing I did, as it found an issue with my installation and corrected it.
If this was indeed the reason for the black screen, I’ll find out later tonight. If not, then I’ll send a ticket.
EDIT: Looks like that was the reason. Didn’t have a black screen once. It’s possible they ‘pushed’ this update by accident, and doing the cache verify check fixed it. Odd thing though, is no one else in Kovo’s Discord reported this also happening to them.
