The sudden ping jumps are still happening in ESO, except.. this time it’s different than before. This time, it’s hard to pinpoint the source. Because the problem seems to correct itself and pretends nothing is wrong, only for it to happen a few minutes later and once again.. act like nothing is wrong.
I caught one of them while doing a Speedtest, and sure enough my speed drops when it happens. But when it doesn’t, my speed is normal. This is pissing me off!!
Is it on their end? I’m seriously having my doubts now. I even called once and was told they would monitor it for an hour, and they did not see it … when I clearly did. So, they’re going to monitor it for five days.
But this is what scares me. They say if the Online light doesn’t blink or go off in five days (if/when the issue happens again)…….it’s NOT on their end; it’ll be on mine, and they’ll be pointing at my computer as the fault. But why in the hell would my computer be doing this?! I’ve never heard of such a thing!
That’s why it falls down to the cables I’m using. Either the Coaxial Cable or the main Ethernet Cable that connects to the back of my computer, could possibly have a short in it that’s causing the sudden speed drops. Replacing them should be a priority in fixing this. It could had been something I did to cause the issue. Or the Coaxial Cable that’s behind my dresser is being pinched.
It could even be DISH doing it (not on purpose, mind you). The fact I had to have a cable that goes from the Hopper 3 to the back of my modem, it might be sending a signal that’s causing the sudden speed drops. I really can’t leave any possibilities out.
I think I may be losing my mind over this — blaming everything and everyone on my unhappiness that I can’t play ESO without seeing my char run in place when doing his charge attack.
