When I received this troubling news (from this video), I was quite terrified. So there you go, people who said “if you aren’t freaking out, you’re not paying attention”.. this time you’re right!
It appears the FCC has had enough with getting their ass handed to them by We The People, and have decided to go rogue (even while nearly 100% of Americans(Democrats AND Republicans finally working together) have supported Net Neutrality to remain, this is pretty much grounds for treason.
It’s one thing to ignore the advice of another, but it’s another thing to ignore the rights of hard working, tax-paying Americans who voted these people in to represent us. To go against Freedom and Democracy, would be quite bad on the chairman of the FCC. America has spoken. Stand down, Ajit Pai.. or be eliminated in supreme court by the 2nd Amendment.
Yet to say I’m not terrified would be an understatement. Yes it’s in the constitution, written with “We The People” (not We The Government), but this is an unstable political year for the U.S (when not even our own jackass of a president knows how serious things would be without Net Neutrality). I fear that even if the trial of the century(even bigger than the OJ Simpson trial) happened (The FCC versus the United States of America), it’ll be rigged in their favor.
Some content creators are of course, fearing the worst of this (as if the world is ending). Because this wouldn’t just affect Youtube, but critical technology to help the US fight the war against terror (and then some). This shit will affect the entire planet, like a solar flare threatening to destroy all modern communication (and send us back to the stone age).
Ajit Pai fails to understand this. He feels he’s finally doing something no one else had balls to do. He’s also treading dark waters if he continues, which I said before, will only get worse for him.
