And Notch said from up high, “Frukta inte, Benie! Du kommer att kunna spela med un-brutet mods över helgen! Ingen uppdatering kommer att släppas förrän nästa vecka!”
Which translates from Swedish to “Fear not, Benie! You will be able to play with un-broken mods over the weekend! No update will be released until next week!”
Just to say for the people that actually believe the “god of Minecraft” has spoken to me, he hasn’t. It came from the asskissers in Notch’s Blog trying to make a “Bible of Minecraft” of all things.
There’s playing his game and enjoying it, and then there’s wanting to kiss his ass.
Not to mention, he’s doing things I like with this one. Such as;
1. Delayed update means more play time without broken mods (as I mentioned).
2. Fixing bugs in SMP created from the last three updates. Yes he’s focusing on PvP which IMO I don’t personally like (but he will set it where you can say NO to it in your server). However, allowing damage will allow you to kill idiot animals, and remove minecarts and boats.
With damage, SMP will finally get the “S” back in Survival. Be like SSP, but with Multiplayer. I just hope he never gets rid of the ‘/give’ command.
That means he does care about getting SMP working good. Even with what little time he has to code in his busy life. This is what he has listed as being fixed, and what he’s currently working on.
And this is probably the best fix of all; “Make players riding carts or boats a long way receive terrain updates: DONE”
He’s also hiring help to extend the speed SMP gets fixed. One of the new workers has introduced himself to Notch’s Blog, here. He also links this Minecraft Quiz.
I got 7/10 right. The three I missed had to do with knowing your developers, and one I should had known but I haven’t played legit in weeks, and I’m not ashamed of it. 🙂
It’s the way I play now. INVedit FTW! 😀
Notch is also encouraging people to report bugs and give him suggestions via #minecraft, the IRC channel.
