Rig’n’Roll, still alive and kicking

Decided to check out Rig’n’Roll.com, and there was actually an UPDATE since last year! Was done March 24th, 2009. The first update this year.
All I can say is… it’s about fucking time!! There hasn’t been any development updates since ’07, which made me think “well this game is dead”.

They say they’re… get this. STILL testing. Ugh. But at least I know it’s not dead, unlike DNF. They’re also stating how they’re having to cope with the recession — laying people off, lowering wages. But they state it will not affect the release date.
Speaking of the release date, Igor Belago says that “the game will actually be released in a couple of months, but I can’t name an actual date yet.”
Yeah… I’ll see it when I believe it, Igor. But I wish them luck in fixing all the bugs.
It’s better to have a bug-free game that will take longer to release, than have a released game, full of bugs.

And to prove that the game still isn’t dead, they’ve released a collection of ingame screenshots. In Russian, of course. You can download their collection at the bottom of the news page.
What I can see from the pictures, is just… “wow”. And the map… all of those ramps that are accessible… it’ll be like taking a vacation to San Francisco, without actually going there.

I’ll tell you guys one thing. If they allow you to start in a city, I’m picking Sacramento as my base, or start area. Whatever they do. And then, I’m going to ride the famous I-80 ALL the way to San Francisco.
Or maybe even better. Start at Reno, and then head West on I-80.
The possibilities are endless. Lets just hope we can do it. 🙂
