Stewart told me that this new video card will allow me to run Crysis on the highest graphics possible for DirectX 9.01c, using an 800×600 resolution. So I installed Crysis yesterday, and played it today, running everything on HIGH graphic settings.
And man, did I enjoy this run. Immediately as I started playing, I noticed how smooth as butter the intro was. The plane flyby part anyway.
The sunrise part, I actually saw what seemed like morning dew or fog.
And in the core, I saw just how cold it is in there. Fog everywhere.
It just seemed like everything was perfect. If it wasn’t for the fact I was on a damn mission to rescue hostages, I would be taking a vacation.
Only time it studdered was the fact I also had Motion Blur on high, when I turn I sometimes studder, but not too bad.
.
What’s more important as I was able to play from start to finish with NO lock ups!! It looks like it truly was my video card causing it after all of these months.
I thought I would never see the day where my own computer would display such sweet graphics, and not from watching a Youtube video of some guy playing with a better system than mine.
I would get some screenshots; even play it again, if I could figure out where the screenshot key is.
