So I finally completed my first playthrough of Borderlands. I had Cory helping me. The very ending seemed weird though.
From what I saw the game seemed to also have a mixture of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. As in the Guardian Angel (the woman you see when you get off the bus) tells you that you HAVE to get to the vault before you lose the chance to open it.
Both games have this.. thing said to give you anything you ever wanted in life. Both games have you having to battle hard to get there.
And then at the end, having to face a superboss that takes an insane amount of punishment before it eventually dies. Then you get to the thing and it’s pretty much Game Over.
But unlike S.T.A.L.K.E.R, there IS freeplay after the MQ. Three DLC’s await you.
Now I only know two of them. This “fort knox”, and Zombie Island. The ‘fort knox’ one seems to be more fun, but it requires you to be at least Level 30 (35 is the prime level). Once you get a ride going, you can travel the ‘highways’, connected by transition portals.
That’s pretty much all I know about it.
Zombie Island is also fun. Has a Scooby Doo reference as well. Basically, there’s this evil scientist (but you’re not supposed to know he’s evil) named Dr. Ned. He’s no where in relation of Dr. Zed.
