Now have highest-leveled Charr char

Due to the freak lighting storms that are moving through currently, I thought I’ll take this time to make a progress report of my endeavors in Guild Wars 2.
My Necro Charr (Deathclaw Ragefist) is now Level 32, making him higher leveled than my ex-Warrior; proving I’m better with pets than having all the DPS relying on myself. Did my Level 30 Personal Story. I see it didn’t change much of what I saw with the Human version.
Was quite interesting dealing with the Risen as another char, and from another perspective. And lastly, I joined the Vigil instead of the Whispers. Mainly because.. I didn’t really want to see Tybalt again after what I went through. Curious to see who my partner in crime will be when I do my Level 40 Personal Story.

I also only died twice (currently), compared to SEVERAL times as a Warrior. The first time was trying to kill what I thought was a soloable boss, only to find out a bit later it was a Group Event (thankfully, I still got credit of a group killing him).
The second time, was a bit of a “crap, that water was too shallow!” issue after getting a Vista. Thankfully those kinds of deaths are forgetful by the devs (aka, not having your gear damaged.. just your pride :P).

Never once did I question if I had good enough gear, or if my DPS was good enough. I actually don’t care, as I’m not continuously being downed. I got five minions protecting my tail.
The only thing I question, was what were the best weapons for a soloing Necro? When I first started, all I had was an Axe. I got a staff and became quite attracted to it, seeing I can use four types of AoE to damage multiple enemies from a distance, and have my minions tank them.
Was suggested to use a Dagger and a Warhorn “for a power build”. So I bought a beginner’s Dagger and Warhorn, thinking ‘Meh, I doubt I’m going to like this’. But actually, it’s not bad. Infact, I actually like this setup better than the staff (as it seems to do more DPS).

The last ‘question'(play on words) was from someone else when I was leveling somewhere. Person liked my name, then asked me if I’m in a Guild. Simply said “No, and I’m not looking for one.” A day later when I was doing something off of game, I got a random invite to join a Guild. Turned it down. No Guilds for me, no thank you.

.
Anyway, I’m now starting to hit areas I haven’t explored yet. I thinking I’m going to use this to get myself to Level 80, and then do all the Personal Story quests. I think that’s what most people are doing anyway. It’s not you HAVE to do them right then and there. You don’t even have to do them at all. They’re completely optional.
Though it will bug me, seeing those green icons everywhere I go on my map to tell me to go back and report back to Rytlock (or whoever) again. Plus, you can’t minimize the popup in the upper right, that you can with the Daily quests.

The new changes in Guild Wars 2, and my thoughts

Hearing that Lion’s Arch has been changed today, I want to take a look. Had to download a pretty large patch (again, I haven’t played in months) and logged in.
I popped up outside of my Home area, and was greeted by a popup to show my skills and traits have been changed. It claimed it tried its best to keep my stats as they were since I last logged in.

In my Hero panel, there’s two new tabs; Build and Training. The Build tab shows a LOT.. I mean.. wow. Blown away. I’m going to do my best to explain what I’m seeing here.
So there’s three panels, and three buttons on the upper left. The first one is called your Weapon Skills.

The first panel shows every ability available to your current class. It allows you to pick and choose which build to best go with. It also shows your abilities when you have fallen and you’re trying to kill that one asshole to get a Second Wind (like in Borderlands). Really like this.. a LOT.
The second panel shows your current abilities (your ‘Skill Bar’), and your pet’s abilities (if you have a class that has a pet).
The 3rd panel are your current specs for your class. Like WoW before MoP (the whole “cookie cutter build” thing) you can put points in all three specs. It shows a line going through each spec to indicate what you’ve selected. You can also change these on the fly, unlike in WoW where you must purchase a powder to remove a specific spec.
Going to the second tab, the left panel changes to your utility spells, healing, and ‘Elite’ skills.
And the 3rd tab, shows all available talents you can pick with your Specs.

Very nice Build GUI. I really, really love it. And I’m sure there’s even more that I haven’t covered. Now to go over the Training tab;
Now the Training tab, shows your Mastery with these abilities. I remember this was mentioned in an interview. It looks pretty.. weird, though. But I actually like it.
Everytime you “level up” for now on, you’re given a ‘Hero Point’. You can spend these points on teaching your char special, and your standard abilities (and utilities).
You can also get two more specs just by buying them with Hero Points, such as Wilderness Survival and Nature Magic for Rangers. Basically… Hero Points are the former Skill Points. The icon has even been changed.

That’s basically it. Now the other change is to Lion’s Arch. Some like it, others do not. Most say it looks like Disneyland or Seaworld. And from what I’m seeing on the World Map, it definitely has a sea life theme to it. I’m seeing a large octopus, a giant seashell. Even a giant crab.
I teleported in, and I’m seeing an intro of the new Lion’s Arch. It definitely looks different. Leaving the intro, I look to my left and see two players spazzing out while watching the intro. Hilarious bug.

Anyway… let’s see what’s new. Immediately, this looks nothing like I remembered. It doesn’t have all the portals to every start area as before. Looking at the world map now, I see they’ve been moved. So now it’s not so easy to check out the other starting areas. Hmm. Oh well.

Also, where Tybalt used to be, has been changed. It looks like some kind of bar now, with Whispers agents everywhere. There’s a robot here (called ‘Captain Smash’) where you can “buy some apples”(aka Tybalt’s thing). It mentions the place is ‘being scrubbed’, and thanks me for the work. So it seems they haven’t forgotten what I’ve done to save the planet. Good to see some respect.
That same ‘respect’ can be seen by others. There was a guy ‘selling’ things when he claims he isn’t, then tells me to “go back to your dragon killing”.

So I completed my tour around the new Lion’s Arch. In some ways I like it, others I don’t. The wall textures just look… I dunno. I just don’t like them. They look bland. Don’t like solid white. Plus I’m not really a fan of the whole “Seaworld” theme.
I also went on this guided tour around the place. We reached an area where the guide says that beyond the portal is another part of the place, and to go through it and she’ll meet us there. So I did… and she wasn’t there.
But something did turn up (it wasn’t the Tour Guide, but it sure was awesome). So I’m preparing to head back, then I see one of those miniatures. This one.. was Tybalt. They actually created Tybalt as a miniature!! 😀 I wonder how much he is, because to have him go with me.. it’ll be like he never left, and I’ll literally have his memory with me.
The only way to purchase him is the Trading Post (aka the Auction House) of the Black Lion Trading Company. Hopefully I can get one. That’ll be the best thing since getting this game. To honor his bravery and sacrifice as a miniature (plus it’s better than trying to as a Warrior…).

EDIT: On an unrelated note, I’m thinking of actually playing the game again as a Necromorth, as it has pets. Then again it could possibly blow up in my face. Not sure what race to be. Maybe an Azura, as I never went with one before. Or a Charr and get rid of my Warrior.
Decided to go with another Charr, and level him (aka ‘Deathclaw Ragefist’ as I named him) higher than my Warrior was.

GW2 devs will refund your money if you preorder HoT (on one condition)

New tweet by the devs of Guild Wars 2. This.. this is something I’ve never seen a game company do in my life. In anticipation with the preordering of the Heart of Thorns expansion, if you bought the core game between January 23rd to June 16th of this year, they will REFUND YOUR PURCHASE PRICE!! 😮
So if you paid $60 for the game, they will refund that $60! I.. wow. Just wow. I don’t know what to say, except… how are they making a profit if they’re refunding what you paid for the core game? Are they truly trying to set an example of what video game companies should be; caring for their customers instead of their money?
Note, you must preorder the expansion to qualify for this refund deal.

As sweet and perfect(to me) as this sounds, it almost smells fishy at the same time. It feels too perfect, as I got the game between those dates. Yet why is it just those dates, when veterans had the game a lot longer than that? Why are they giving new players the red carpet?
Surely, they’re going to give the veterans something better, right? … Wrong. If you look at the top where it shows about ‘Veteran Player Appreciation’, they’re going to get another character slot… that’s it. Another character slot. W… why? Again, they should be giving this refund thing to the veterans… not me! I–.. I don’t feel I’m worth having my money refunded for as little as I play that game (which hasn’t been for months as I’m bored with it already) just to get the expansion.

You know what this reminds me of? That thing where Blizzard was giving away those statues for veteran players. I never got one, as I got into WoW a year later. Still, that was something pretty cool for veterans. This… what the devs of Guild Wars 2 are doing, is a joke. A fucking joke, for how they’re treating veteran players.

Yet why should I care, as I’m not a social person (yet play MMORPGs)? Because I have moral values. And I think I’m going to boycott this thing instead of take advantage. The veterans deserve more than a second helping of gameplay (with another character slot). They deserve this refund, not me.
I don’t know how I’m going to boycott this, but I’m going to find a way until the devs give veterans what they deserve, for all the work they put into the game. They are the reason the game is so popular.

.
EDIT: Perhaps I was wrong. I was told on the forum, that veterans aren’t getting ‘the short end of the stick’. The character slot alone is quite expensive, which is why it’s fair. The thing is, veterans have another problem (and the reason why this even happened).

Basically, people had thought you don’t have to own the core game to get the expansion, because said expansion comes with the core game. It was confusing people (and it would with me as well) Who fucked this up? This is why this thing is happening, to apologize.
Unless the developer states that it doesn’t require the core game, it does.

A GTA V mod thing to get off my chest

So, on the 19th I made an entry how I was getting bored with GTA V and discussing about the Angry Planes mod, and found a link to a website that has it on Reddit.
Well… I took the plunge and got the mod. You guys are probably thinking “Good job, idiot. Enjoy having your passwords stolen.” Well, remember when I said it was a cleaned version? It’s actually true. And also I now have help to protect my computer.

And that help, is called ‘Sandboxie‘ (got it before I got the mod). Let’s talk about this before I continue. Basically, what Sandboxie is, is simply “mirroring” your file system. It stores a fake copy of your files. So incase some asshat decides to fuck with my computer (via a virus), they’ll be fucking with a decoy instead. And I can wipe that decoy out at anytime, cleansing the virus and keeping it from infecting my computer.

What sold me, is a video showing how powerful this program is against the well known (and feared) CryptoLocker Ransomware Virus (the one that you have to pay a ransom or you’ll lose your stuff). The guy deliberately downloads an active sample of the virus, and you see it pop up and how his files are now encrypted. I seriously freaked out when I saw this.
Yet he shows your files are perfectly safe outside of the Sandboxed version of your files. And all he has to do is just wipe out the contents of the Sandboxed version… and the virus went away, just like that. And his files are still completely safe. I…wow! I HAD to get it. And indeed I did. Been using it eversince.
So yeah, I’ve been using this. And the cleaned version actually is cleaned. Malwarebytes (the Premium Trial version I have) has detected nothing. No viruses. Everything’s clean. No csc.exe running in my Task Manager. No sign of this Fade.exe virus in my Registry. Very happy.
Though there is this one file that popped up, that literally screams “I’M A VIRUS!!!!” It’s this thing(top is my Sandboxed version(note the hashtags), bottom is my normal version). Thankfully, being told that GTA V creates this file. Rockstar claims it’s perfectly safe. So who am I to argue?

Anyway, been using the mod for a few days now, and still no virus detections (or strange files trying to access my network). Now, I’m not going to give out the link. All I can tell you is to search the internet. And also, please.. PLEASE be considerate of others before you too think about sharing the link. It’s unshared for a reason, to make sure this never happens again.

.
I’ll say one last thing in my closing. I can’t thank the admins of GTA5-mods.com enough of making sure this doesn’t happen again. Everytime a developer creates a mod or updates it, they go through a rigorous test of antivirus and anti-malware scans before it shows up on their page where people can download it.
However, they still can’t urge caution enough to the end user (the downloaders). They do their best (of what’s humanly possible) to make sure the mod is clean, but you shouldn’t lower your guard and assume that the next top mod (or an unknown yet getting popular mod) will be clean. There will always be loopholes in security. It’s up to you to protect your own identity.

Get Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (there’s a free version), a good antivirus (such as Microsoft Security Essentials), and scan your computer thoroughly as if you’ve been infected (even though no viruses have been detected before). Never lower your guard, don’t click on suspicious links, and stay safe out there.

“What if you were in charge of WoW?”

There was one email where I kept getting bombarded with responses to do a reply on. That question was, “What if you were in charge of World of Warcraft? What would you change?” My answer was “I cannot tell you, as it would never be possible”. But the guy kept asking me to do so.

So… here we go. 7 things I would change if I was in control of WoW. I hope he (and you guys) aren’t angered by my ‘changes’. But this is what I would do.

#1. Find a way to get the two promised capital cities in Draenor, actually there. No more BS about “Ohh, we just didn’t have the time!”. If I was in charge, I’ll make them have the time!

#2. Make Garrisons fun. Add a 4th tier, customization options for your Town Hall/Great Hall, and during holidays I would have it where the Garrison servers were down, so you’ll be enjoying time with others with the holidays; as it’s better with friends.

#3. Make Guild Garrisons an option. It should be a purchasable thing, and agreed on for all guild members. This should have more things added, such as being able to share the currency of Work Orders. Basically, have it like a big pile that any of your guildies can do. Also, profession buildings will be available to all guild mates.

#4. Allow for the relocation of your Garrison, and remove those crap second hand towns (where the movable Garrisons were going to be). It wouldn’t be easy, and cost a lot of gold (a Garrison, depending on the size is a pretty big place to move). Also, there should be a timer of how long it’ll take to move your Garrison. And when you initiate the move, you’re locked out of your Garrison until it’s complete. Also, after the move, you will be more vulnerable to random attacks (you’ll have to defend your Garrison, or have Bodyguards do it for you) until you re-establish the foothold.

#5. Remove the tedious Apexis Crystal grinding in Tanaan Jungle with actual questing. Get some progression going to advance yourself to eventually reach the raid against.. whoever the bad guy is now. I think it’s Gul’dan instead of Grom. Oh yeah, there’s also Kilrogg Deadeye.

#6. No more bullshit during BlizzCons! If our developers feel they can’t reach deadlines, they will let their gamers know! No more lying!

#7. Make developers listen to their beta testers!

Yeah.. I would be a slavedriver boss, but at least I won’t be someone silenced with “hush money” to keep known issues out of the ears of the community until it’s too late. I would be firm, and turn Blizzard around into a respected, trusted company who cares about their customers.

This is what I would do. So this should answer their email.

Fallout 4 announced, to be released November 10th, 2015

I’ve been too busy to discuss the announcement of Fallout 4 a few weeks ago. Really enjoyed the trailer; how it showed ‘future’ life in the 50’s (what they saw as being the “world of tomorrow”) before the bombs fell. When I first saw it, I thought it was the dog from Fallout 3 (Dogmeat).
And then I saw the ending, with the new protagonist talking to the dog and wearing a Vault 112 jumpsuit. Clearly it wasn’t going to be in New York City again, but Boston.

Got an email from Green Man Gaming today, announcing the release date of the game and to preorder. Do you really think whoever’s making this game, is going to release on-time? Yeah, I didn’t think so either. I say it’ll be released somewhere in 2016. Though they did have many years to work on this game, so it might be possible to see an on-time release. We’ll have to see.

Also, only fools preorder. Granted, I had preordered Portal 2 before it was released many years ago (and have also preordered a few of the expansions from WoW). But those were the ONLY times I have ever preordered in my life.
Just don’t make the mistake of preordering something like this, all I ask.

Mailroom time! Answering your emails.

Right. New thing. Got a ton of emails, and I felt I should make a blog of my responses to them. Most of them were actually pretty nice and helpful, others.. well. It’s the Internet afterall.
Anyway, the first thing, was several emails asking “How come you never played and reviewed the free games from Playstation Plus this month?”
Well, there’s actually three reasons why, and they’re quite simple;
1. I don’t see myself playing these games after being pissed off of how bad of a console port that Ether One was.
2. The hard drive space on my PS4. I don’t know how much I have, but already I’m being bitched at that I don’t have enough space to store my save games for Little Big Planet 3. There’s some good games that I want to keep, and I don’t feel like cleaning out the drive. It’s only 500GB, which isn’t much with this day and age.
3. Hearing that the Metal Gear Solid game they offer is a demo instead of full game, doesn’t have me interested.

Basically, I just… can’t keep doing this every month with only one hard drive, and no way to back up my current free games to another drive.

.
Another email I got, was how come I never covered E3 or any games of it. I really don’t care for E3 or any of these other gaming conventions. The only one I did care about was BlizzCon (but not anymore…).
I can’t really explain why I don’t care about them. I just… don’t. Guess I still blame WoD for ruining my taste in trying games. Keep thinking “who’s going to be the next gaming company that sees their customers as something to rob from instead of fellow human beings?”
Anyway, NerdCubed (aka Dan) never covered E3, yet he did a vblog on his NerdCubed in RL channel. This is just a regular blog, but I never followed what was going on with E3.

Another email said to check out the Mass Effect: Andromeda trailer. So I did. The choice of music was… meh. But it looks like we could be possibly making a return of the Rover from Mass Effect 1, on these cool planets. Even fighting on them.
And of course, going by the name, it won’t be happening in the Milky Way galaxy. Maybe the plot (and this is a random theory) is to keep the Reapers from sending the Andromeda galaxy into the Milky Way (which is actually going to happen in billions of years from now).
Lastly, it claims the release will be “holiday 2016”. This could mean anything, but I have a feeling we’re talking somewhere late Q4 of 2016 (around Thanksgiving/Christmastime).
The trailer doesn’t explain what happened after Mass Effect 3. Perhaps your randomly-colored choice doesn’t matter, and this is its own game. I feel it’s highly possible, and would make perfect sense. Of course, when has Bioware made sense?

So there you go, folks. If you have any more questions, you know where to reach me (as you already have).

Why I feel I got GTA V for PC a little too late (lack of modding videos)

I’m actually starting to get bored and really getting an itch for hilarious mods to fuck around with. I barely even started doing the side missions. There’s one that.. seems bugged out. It’s one I’m doing as Trevor, for this guy to deal with a rival of his.
I took down all the For Sale signs (with cars). I stopped the guy’s car (with more cars), and I can’t get past the ‘Closing the Deal’ side mission. I’m wondering if it’s the fact I used mods, it isn’t advancing. Either that or I’m not doing something to advance.

Anyway, the reason I’m bored is, I’ve been waiting like I said above, for any good, hilarious mods to fuck around with. No one (that I’m following) is doing any GTA V mod videos. Perhaps they’re also scared the next cool mod might give viruses and don’t want to be responsible for the cleanup. This is what I’m thinking, and it’s probably the reason. If I was a Youtuber, I’d probably would do the same thing.
There’s one mod I can’t stop thinking about, and I really wish what happened with it, didn’t. Aka… the Angry Planes mod being filled with viruses.
See, I saw Al’s video yesterday of it (plus Riot Mode), and he was having so much fun. You’re seeing all of these planes flying around in the air, and it looked like Just Cause 2 Multiplayer. And if you get in a vehicle (better in a plane), the planes will actually chase after you and attempt to commit suicide by ramming into you. Some of them even use their missiles.

There was this scene where he’s talking about Riot Mode, how he likes to run these people over when on the freeways. As he’s talking, you hear the jet sounds of a 747 getting really close to him. He looks behind him and all he sees is the many wheels of said plane right behind him. That was fucking INTENSE (and also hilarious)!!
Sadly… his next video, he talks about how that.. not so hilarious and a NoClip mod… have viruses in them and how to remove them. I.. wow. Who would want to do that? I would had LOVED to use that mod.. if it wasn’t for the viruses. :/

There is a new mod that just popped up last night called ‘Planes Hails‘, that claims wants to bring back the Angry Planes mod (but with no adware). No one believes him, including myself. But really, it’s nothing like what I’ve seen. This one has random planes falling from the sky, instead of fly around and run into scenery, eachother, or yourself.
Someone (in the comments section of the mod) also claims that they have a non-adware version of the Angry Planes mod (from a trusted Reddit user), but won’t give out the link due to keeping the mod from circulating (and risk it getting viruses). Though personally, I wish I didn’t know that as it’ll make me want to create an account just to ask him if I could have the link.
Why bother telling us about it if he won’t give the link out? To annoy potential assholes that want to do harm to our computers (or steal our identity/credit cards/bank accounts)?
This is a sad world we live in, when we can’t even trust mods from GTA V.

Anyway, I’m actually glad I did get the PC version of GTA V when I did. Because back when that mod was out, I would had gotten it too (due to how cool it looked), and been really pissed off at the author while trying to remove the virus.
I just hope what happened to said author, was justice.

EDIT: I found “A” link to it… but I don’t want to trust it. It’s from a website called ‘peniscorp.com’. Yep, that seems legit alright. Can’t even bother to post it on a more legit site, could you? Claims it has a cleaned version of Angry Planes, and gives instructions on what to watch out for. Not giving out the link in here.
I just ran the URL through virustotal.com, a legit site that scans every known file and website on the Internet for any viruses. No issues with the website, and the site was scanned yesterday. Still extremely leery of trying it.
I think I’m going to play it safe and wait for this ‘Planes Hails’ mod to hopefully take the shape of Angry Planes. I can’t wait to be all “HOLY SHIT!!” seeing the Cargo Plane from that one Single Player mission, following me in the air while I’m on the interstate on a motorcycle!! Fucking epic, bro.

EDIT2: Added entry for the ‘Planes Hails’ mod in my GTA V Modding blog post.

Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns now available for preorder

This happened within 20 minutes of starting my previous post. It’s the sign the expansion is almost ready to be released. But what of the price? Well… it’s rather questionable.
They want you to dish out $50, for the standard edition. Or $75 for the ‘Deluxe’ edition, or $100 for the ‘Ultimate’ edition. And here I was complaining about how expensive WoD was last year…

I guess this is a testament to how much of a Guild Wars 2 fanatic you really are, because I don’t see myself paying that kind of money. Maybe in a year or two when it goes on sale, I might consider.
Like to get mfish’s opinion on this, and see if he’s going to get it. Though I hope he’s sane enough to hold up. Though I imagine he’ll buy one of them due to his guildies playing (and Guild Halls are going to be as awesome as Garrisons were, back in BlizzCon 2013).

So what do you get for your money, if you really are a fanatic/true fan?
-The Standard version (the $50 one) includes the expansion and that’s it.
-The Deluxe version (the $75 one) includes the expansion, an additional character slot, a ‘Miniature Revenant Rytlock’, a ‘Revenant Finisher’, a ‘Mordremoth’s Bane Guild Hall Decoration’, and a ‘Heart of Thorns Glider Skin’.
-The Ultimate edition (the whopping $100 one) gives everything the Deluxe edition has, plus 4,000 Gems.

Also, if you buy before the launch, you’ll be able to get into the beta, and get a title. Woopy do. Still not paying $50 for an expansion. I did it in WoD, I’m not doing it again.
And why in the hell would I want a Guild Hall decoration? As cool as it does sound (a decoration for your Guild Hall which is a far cry for having NO customization options of your Garrison in WoD…), it’s useless to me as I’m guildless.

The reason to say “LOLOLOL oh god mods!!” (GTA V PC Modding)

Never have I laughed so hard, firing a stream of cars at someone. Or causing mass chaos at the touch of a button and hearing the sound of gunfire with lots of explosions (that would make Mr Torque cry in happiness).
Or even do it all, while controlling a fucking Hydra with wing-mounted vehicle rockets (that also fire cars).

GTA V modding, just brings the joy in mayhem. I don’t know what it is, but seeing a guy you just killed go flying miles away due to what you just used to kill them, is very satisfying (and also makes you feel like a monster).
There’s also realism mods that add more depth to the game, and of course the many skin and clothes texture mods.
I just wanted to go over each and every mod I have so far, and give my thoughts. This I feel will be a new blog series.

‘Improved Fright Trains’
Link: https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/improved-freight-train
Author: Walter
This mod simply makes freight trains longer and gives more variety of what trains you see(aka, one train could be pulling a lot of fuel tankers, while another could be pulling box cars, tankers, etc…, which is more realistic. It bugged me on how short trains were, plus there was no variety of trains. This fixes that, and I really like it. There’s two versions of the mod, based around if you want a single locomotive or several.
The mod does have a few generating bugs. The two I saw, was there was a “train” with four locomotives. I also saw a single locomotive with no cars. And the best one, was seeing what looked like a train going in reverse (which reminded me of one of my fright train stations in Cities Skylines, that the train goes in reverse when it pulls out).

-Slow Motion Toggle-
Link: https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/slow-motion-bullet-time-toggle
Author: sakratt
Ahh.. bulletime. Quite satisfying when abusing the corpse of a cop who threw you off your bike, and try to keep the corpse from hitting the ground. Plus it makes for badass ‘walk away from explosion in slow motion’ scenes.
Not much else to say about this mod.

-Toggle Radio Station-
Link: https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/radio-toggle
Author: 8OT
What’s annoying to Youtubers who are trying to make royality-free videos? Having the music on the radio play instead of just leaving the damn thing off and avoiding a lawsuit.
But even if you’re not a Youtuber, this is useful as it will keep you on your current radio station between scenes (like the parts where your character automatically gets out of the vehicle to complete a mission).
Unfortunately, this mod doesn’t seem to work for me. Maybe I haven’t configured it yet. I’ll look into it.

-Army at 5 stars-
Link: https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/tanks-spawn-at-five-stars
Author: PlasticTangerine
What’s better than surfing on the top of a moving train, wielding a Minigun, with a 5-star wanted level? Having the fucking US Army after your ass! Tanks! Attack helicopters! Brutal road blocks with use of spike strips!
However, I wish they would have more. What about fucking F-16’s screaming in the sky, pwning you with their heat-seeking missiles? That would be epic, and give being in a Hydra a real (welcomed) challenge.

-Riot Mode-
Link: https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/ped-riot-chaos-mode
Author: Trumple
Ahh… a peaceful day. The birds are chirping. The cars are going by. The air… sounds like gunfire?! And then there are many explosions as you’re caught in the middle of a fierce battle of pedestrians verses cops. The pedestrians are armed with military hardware. And you caused them all to appear with a push of the button.
This mod is quite challenging if you aren’t God. And it also gets rather hilarious hearing all the random screaming, shooting and explosions.
The mod can be switched on and off by pressing F7. Note, that the riot doesn’t stop when you turn it off. Either you need to wait until they all kill eachother, or you kill them.

Ever felt that getting into a big wreck, the damage was a bit sub-par and unrealistic? Seriously, no dents?
Fortunately, this mod takes care of that. It’s a rather big mod; big as in installation complexity, as in you must replace about 10 files via OpenIV (and put them in their correct folders). For once done, you see what you just went though actually working.

THIS… this is what made me go “Hmmm… what’s this d— AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! Ohh god, mods!!” Are you caught on the interstate in traffic? Wish you could just pass them, but there’s no safe way? Wish you could find a way to ‘remove’ them in a humorous way? Well, buddy.. you’re going to LOVE this!
Hit F11 by default, and there’s two modes. The ‘Normal’ mode fires every vehicle (that doesn’t fly) in the game with any gun (even ones you cannot get in Single Player). It’s all random. You can go with regular cars, bikes, all the way to a giant dump truck being shot out of your gun, flying into an unsuspecting person or car. The second ‘Fast’ mode fires sports cars.
This can also be used in missions. I used it during Trevor’s clown fear sub-mission, and just shot cars at everyone. Fucking hilarious watching the cars exploding everywhere on impact. It does do a number on my GPU when there’s LOTS of explosions. I can’t get enough of this mod, and I can’t recommend it enough if you love ‘fuck with’ mods for GTA V.

-More realistic AI drivers-

Ever felt the AI at times are a bit too safe? Want to see an occasional accident on the interstate? This mod messes with their coding and makes some cars unable to stop in certain situations, which will cause more wrecks.
For more realistic damage, get the Real Vehicle Damage mod.

‘Enhanced Native Trainer’

Woops. Forgot to add this one. So, this is a much, much better version of the Native Trainer, which is the mod of all mods. It’s similar to the one from GTAIV.
It unlocks “Sandbox mode”, aka allowing to teleport anywhere that’s available. The Enhanced version gives more options, such as teleporting on rooftops, or even inside buildings that have interiors (even ones inaccessible to you in Single Player).
You can spawn ANY vehicle in the game, even ones you can only get online. The Enhanced version puts them in neat categories. You can even specify to be teleported inside the vehicle you spawn if you do so wish.
You can also set the time and the weather, and have them locked. You can have the police ignore you and never be wanted (or raise it to the max level).
And what makes the Enhanced version better, is.. well, two things. The regular trainer doesn’t keep your settings between saves, and the ‘Seat Belt’ option for vehicles doesn’t even work. The Enhanced version, does both! Now you can speed on a motorcycle, hit a wall and not fall off! It even prevents being pulled out of the seat by road ragers and police.
And also, no more lost settings. There’s just so much you can do with this thing. I just barely scratched the surface.

‘Single Player Garage’

Author: mlgthatsme
Now I never ever used the garages in GTA Online. Never got that far into the game. But this brings the garage from online into Single Player, and makes it even better. Try… a skyscraper full of cars, with multiple floors. That’s this mod.
Currently it’s in beta, and it will work if you have the latest ScriptHookDotNet version installed (currently 1.0 at the time of this entry). There will be three yellow blips on the radar. Simply drive any car in and have it stored for future use.

‘Planes Hails’

Author: Cheater4free
A mod that got released just under a week ago, and showed up last night. A currently under-development mod in an attempt to bring back the ‘Angry Planes’ mod, minus the adware. This one(version 0.2 currently) features random planes falling from the sky. The author promises the planes will actually act like the Angry Planes mod in future updates.
There are a few issues with this, that the author is now known of (due to me making an account with GTAV-mods.com).
The current issues are thus;
1. Incompatibility with the Vehicle Cannon mod (not seeing cars when the mod is active).
2. No clear knowledge of the default key to toggle the mod. Author tells me to open the mod with WordPad and I’ll be able to set it myself.
3. The mod crashes itself, spawning no more planes (even though the mod is “active”).

.
And that’s it. If you were to ask me if there was a mod or mods I really want, there would be a couple;
1. Purchasable Apartments from GTA Online in Single Player.
2. A train driving mod that will allow you to switch tracks and hook up/disconnect freight cars.
