This happened within 20 minutes of starting my previous post. It’s the sign the expansion is almost ready to be released. But what of the price? Well… it’s rather questionable.
They want you to dish out $50, for the standard edition. Or $75 for the ‘Deluxe’ edition, or $100 for the ‘Ultimate’ edition. And here I was complaining about how expensive WoD was last year…
I guess this is a testament to how much of a Guild Wars 2 fanatic you really are, because I don’t see myself paying that kind of money. Maybe in a year or two when it goes on sale, I might consider.
Like to get mfish’s opinion on this, and see if he’s going to get it. Though I hope he’s sane enough to hold up. Though I imagine he’ll buy one of them due to his guildies playing (and Guild Halls are going to be as awesome as Garrisons were, back in BlizzCon 2013).
So what do you get for your money, if you really are a fanatic/true fan?
-The Standard version (the $50 one) includes the expansion and that’s it.
-The Deluxe version (the $75 one) includes the expansion, an additional character slot, a ‘Miniature Revenant Rytlock’, a ‘Revenant Finisher’, a ‘Mordremoth’s Bane Guild Hall Decoration’, and a ‘Heart of Thorns Glider Skin’.
-The Ultimate edition (the whopping $100 one) gives everything the Deluxe edition has, plus 4,000 Gems.
Also, if you buy before the launch, you’ll be able to get into the beta, and get a title. Woopy do. Still not paying $50 for an expansion. I did it in WoD, I’m not doing it again.
And why in the hell would I want a Guild Hall decoration? As cool as it does sound (a decoration for your Guild Hall which is a far cry for having NO customization options of your Garrison in WoD…), it’s useless to me as I’m guildless.
