Now have highest-leveled Charr char

Due to the freak lighting storms that are moving through currently, I thought I’ll take this time to make a progress report of my endeavors in Guild Wars 2.
My Necro Charr (Deathclaw Ragefist) is now Level 32, making him higher leveled than my ex-Warrior; proving I’m better with pets than having all the DPS relying on myself. Did my Level 30 Personal Story. I see it didn’t change much of what I saw with the Human version.
Was quite interesting dealing with the Risen as another char, and from another perspective. And lastly, I joined the Vigil instead of the Whispers. Mainly because.. I didn’t really want to see Tybalt again after what I went through. Curious to see who my partner in crime will be when I do my Level 40 Personal Story.

I also only died twice (currently), compared to SEVERAL times as a Warrior. The first time was trying to kill what I thought was a soloable boss, only to find out a bit later it was a Group Event (thankfully, I still got credit of a group killing him).
The second time, was a bit of a “crap, that water was too shallow!” issue after getting a Vista. Thankfully those kinds of deaths are forgetful by the devs (aka, not having your gear damaged.. just your pride :P).

Never once did I question if I had good enough gear, or if my DPS was good enough. I actually don’t care, as I’m not continuously being downed. I got five minions protecting my tail.
The only thing I question, was what were the best weapons for a soloing Necro? When I first started, all I had was an Axe. I got a staff and became quite attracted to it, seeing I can use four types of AoE to damage multiple enemies from a distance, and have my minions tank them.
Was suggested to use a Dagger and a Warhorn “for a power build”. So I bought a beginner’s Dagger and Warhorn, thinking ‘Meh, I doubt I’m going to like this’. But actually, it’s not bad. Infact, I actually like this setup better than the staff (as it seems to do more DPS).

The last ‘question'(play on words) was from someone else when I was leveling somewhere. Person liked my name, then asked me if I’m in a Guild. Simply said “No, and I’m not looking for one.” A day later when I was doing something off of game, I got a random invite to join a Guild. Turned it down. No Guilds for me, no thank you.

.
Anyway, I’m now starting to hit areas I haven’t explored yet. I thinking I’m going to use this to get myself to Level 80, and then do all the Personal Story quests. I think that’s what most people are doing anyway. It’s not you HAVE to do them right then and there. You don’t even have to do them at all. They’re completely optional.
Though it will bug me, seeing those green icons everywhere I go on my map to tell me to go back and report back to Rytlock (or whoever) again. Plus, you can’t minimize the popup in the upper right, that you can with the Daily quests.
