Space Engineers update (Suddenly, Beacons!)

They must have been reading my Blog Posts, because now we finally have a fucking waypoint system!!! WOOT!! 😀 It’s in the form of a beacon. Place one down, and it’ll show up on your HUD of where to go to reach said beacon. No more getting lost! You can finally build that Space Station far far away, and then use one of your ships to fly back to the spawn point.
Beacons require a Reactor to operate and can be placed on Space Stations. They can also be toggled so you won’t see that beacon but you’ll see others.
This is a possibility, they might be working on a Star Map to show ship and beacon locations. That would be the best fucking thing ever. Even above giving big ships a first person view.

The second update for Space Engineers, you can now copy/paste/delete entire ships, even ships the devs built. This way, you can have the fleet you always wanted, without having to build every ship by hand. Just build one ship, then copy/paste it several times.
Or, delete an entire ship or crash it into another, and have a copy of said ship ready to go. You can do that.

Gear Upgraded…didn’t really do much. Yet, I solo’d TK! :D (also, WoW’s 9th anniversary)

I’m starting to get bored with The Timeless Isle now. Why? I found an Addon that works with TomTom, which spits out waypoints of all known treasure chests on the island. I found some that Terlarer didn’t tell me about. Though this addon can also help you cheat. Basically, I found all the small chests… and those chests don’t respawn… :/ I had no idea, really.

I also saw something in my mailbox from the WoW Dev Team. Began to fear it was something serious (like what I did above), so quickly went to check it out. Turned out it was nothing but a congratulation notice for logging in on WoW’s 9th anniversary (was yesterday, by the way). Also got the item that gives you a Rep and XP bonus by 9%. Other people thought it was a piece of shit and act like they’re entitled to a pot of gold. … Really.

Back to that addon.. again, I didn’t know the small chests don’t respawn. But, it helped me acquire the 20000 coins needed to get that bow. Now having the bow in my possession, it makes me hit no harder than I was. It was exactly as I thought.
I also learned, getting a Neck and Trinket replacement is as rare as tripping over something in the game and falling on your face. With this undesired knowledge, decided it’s time to get this shit upgraded.
It took time, flying back to SW, gathering what materials I needed to start asking in Trade Chat, and then finally asking. The first one took at least a half an hour until someone responded and helped me out.

With everything upgraded, I also upgraded the bow to Level 2, and my head piece to Level 1 with what remaining Valor I had (anything I could do to boost my DPS). This upgrade system seems to be the new reason for me to continue farming for Valor. It takes 500 Valor everytime I upgrade.
Flying back to the isle, I tried again on killing elites… same fucking speed! This is when I was really starting to get bored. Bored with killing the same elite, and getting these Timeless Coins was starting to be pointless (since I got the bow).

Hearing about this “Albatross Taxi” thing, I’ve noticed these big seagull-like birds flying around in a specific pattern. Apparently, you can use these to fly you around the island to access hard to reach areas, for the bigger treasure chests. You access these birds at their lowest flight point, West of the Celestial Grounds.
All you do is attack them and they will pick you up. Normally, things like this that do this, try to kill you. But this, carries you.
To get off, you have to kill it and then let gravity take over.

In one of these, I had myself dropped over a red lake as I was picking up chests nearby. From here, you have to go on foot to another lake below and hope you hit the water and not the shoreline, as it’s a long way down and the fall will kill you.
After I got my ass handed to me several times by an elite, I tried to get out here which was blocked by another elite; one of the elite serpents here.
Forced into combat, I engaged and used the lake as cover from the serpent’s attacks. It took four tries of 10 minutes of fighting, diving down and swimming to get away from the devastating AoE attacks of the serpent, and trying to spin around and attack from a distance, ’till the beast fell into the lake. I was awarded with nearly 100 coins. Yes, I just killed my first hard elite on the island.

So at this time, a thought came to my head and see if this new gear could survive the Isle of Giants and get some of them dino bones. To speed up time with this post, got to the island and tried attacking a hatchling… it dropped dead in under a minute. I stood there, shocked. Knowing I have done the impossible (for me). A soloer with shit gear.. just killed something that easily pwned me months ago. I thought “Holy SHIT!! If I could do this.. I could solo TK!”

And solo I did. Couldn’t kill the first boss as it kept resetting (I assume the fact I didn’t kill fast enough), but I killed all of the others. The fel lord, that fel dragon which shows up after you kill the lord, the sisters, that crystal.. and the final boss. Killed them all.
The final boss was very… fun. He was literally, throwing everything he had at me. Yet my health didn’t drop below 90%. I could almost hear him yelling “Fucking soloer! DIE ALREADY!!!”. If only this guy was Deathwing… then that would be an epic battle.
Did die around 6 times. Mostly with the bosses (namely 2 and 3 due to not remembering AoE attacks), but there was also this one group near the beginning which had a guy I have to kill first. Never died on the final boss. So yeah, SP is now on my belt. I’m just glad they allow you to pass the first boss and carry on with the dungeon, because that would suck if they didn’t.
That was pretty much my first ever raid-sized dungeon I solo’d. And I got so much loot from the bosses (which was promptly sold thanks to my Traveler’s Tundra Mammoth from WoTLK).

Tomorrow I’m challenging myself to defeat the bosses of The Eye. It feels soooo good to solo dungeons again! I’m back in my element. 🙂 I can also say, my gear isn’t as shitty now. But there’s always room for improvement; aka Valor for upgrades.
This might make me want to do dailies again. … AHAHAHAHAHA!! RIGHT! 😀 Fuck dailies. I don’t need them or their rep anymore. I’m beyond that.

The Timeless Isle, getting ass kicked and name taken :P

After a very slow start due to Mother Nature deciding to rain down hell in the Midwest with a Tornado Outbreak. … Pray to the ones that got their neighborhoods destroyed in northern Illinois and Indiana. We really, really dodged the bullet with this one.

With that threat no longer a concern in my mind, I got back into farming mobs and searching treasure chests for that free gear. One thing I want to say. With dailies, you work for someone to get rep with. But with this… you work for yourself.
Still, like all dailies, it gets a bit discouraging when the following happens;
1. Die do to being overwhelmed (or just undergeared).
2. Clear out an area and find no chest.
3. Race to get to a boss but miss the kill by mere seconds.
4. Killing the same boss you’ve killed five times today.

Though the third and forth one can be avoided, the other two are still a problem with me. No matter what gear I have replaced, it’s the main weapon that still needs an upgrade. And what seems my only option, is to spend not 2000.. not even 10000… but 20000 Timeless Coins on a bow that only has a 14% upgrade score. That’s not good, but as I said.. my only hope. It’s the only ranged weapon for Hunters on this island.
Currently, I have like 15000. Killing the random bosses does help with this, and so does killing elites as they can give you around 30-45 coins per kill. But of course, that many coins at once isn’t without risk. Mostly, of seeing my pet die before the mob does.
With some elites that can pwn my pet in four hits (the Water Spirits), I can get as little as 13 coins per kill. I assume Blizzard thinks you can take them on and kill them quickly. They actually do die at an average time for a non-boss, non-dungeon elite, but hit hard.

Last night was pretty interesting. I am starting to get a little bit more involved in the “community” of the island by saying “‘boss here’ is up” and waiting for the cavalry to assist me.
For example, this one boss I saw in the back. I told in chat where the guy was. Several people showed up near him and commenced with fighting. After the guy died, I noticed Evermaul, an overgrown boss fish swimming near me. I alerted that I saw the boss and hopped down and started to chase it on my raft I got from The Angelers.

I finally caught up to the fast bastard and started attacking. It slowed down as it was saying “ohh.. it’s my time to die again? Alright. Let’s get this over with”.
For at least… 10 minutes, it was just me and my pet, soloing this rare boss. I kept alerting General Chat for assistance to bring him down faster. Told them which side he was on the island, yet no one came.
It wasn’t until another 15 minutes, when I finally saw someone else coming over to do battle. It was freakin’ hilarious. I had this guy down to 92% health, due to constantly firing everything I had at him.
And I also had to deal with Fatigue, and that disembodied voice yelling “YOU WILL SUFFER FOR THIS TRESPASS!!” which kept spamming everytime I left and entered the fatigue area. The only thing I was ‘suffering’ from was the spamming. Several times it sounded like “YOU WILL YOU SUFFER WILL FOR YOU THIS WILL”..etc. Seriously, Blizzard. Please fix that without delaying WoD.

So, it was me and this Warrior trying to beat this fish down. After 10 minutes, more people showed up (who were part of the Horde) and finally brought the bastard down! And Blizzard was even nice after all of that, and gave me a Timeless ring to replace Ring 2! Yay!

To end off this blog post with a bang, and an upset stomach…
I felt tired so I was about to call it a night. So I’m running back to where the NPCs are around the Celestial area, when this dwarf vendor grabbed my attention. So I went over and checked out his wares, and discovered something… interesting. An item called ‘Dragon P.I.E’. It’s another one of those things that can make you drunk.
I decided to buy one, then drink it. The head of a disembodied red dragon appeared over my head, roaring, with… what I hope is just fizz around me.

I stood there, a bit tipsy, and went to Wowhead trying to learn more about this.. interesting drink. Some say “lol its dragon piss!”. And I’m all “… nah. It can’t be!…. is it? Did he seriously…. did I…”
Unfortunately, there’s no way to learn the true ingredients. And I pray ‘dragon piss’ isn’t one of them. 😛

An old friend breathes new hope into an old soloer

Decided to go to GS to get drunk in hopes to wash away the pain I’m going through of never being able to gear again until the EP, which turned into me in my Dragon Form, sitting on the roof of the Inn.
I also had this strange new buff as I landed. Something about an “Ashen Cloud”. It was spewing ash in my face, while making the sky look like it’s raining. Right clicking removes this thing and causes everything to go back to normal.

Terlarer happens to show up again, as I was hoping he would. He was on as I was typing my previous post. while he’s doing what is called a ‘flex group’, which is a new feature for Raids.
So, I told him how I was in a bind and could never level up again due to.. well I already explained this earlier. He was in a Raid group called a ‘flex group’, which is a new feature for Raids.

He asked me if I’ve been to The Timeless Isle. Told him I have but just to check it out. He then mentions something I’ve read somewhere, of these chests. But what I didn’t know is they have gear that I need! I also assumed that these chests were very rare, but he told me they respawn.
I told him that I was unsure about killing anything there, due to my “experience” with the Isle of Giants. He claims they should be killable. I never really had tried this as I was afraid people would look at the pathetic Hunter taking forever trying to kill one bad guy and laugh.

He also mentioned something about “fun bosses” that also have gear I need, and how the entire island was “designed just to let people gear up fast”. Of course this has my interest, and could be my answer to finally doing endgame content.
He also answered my question about why the buff about Sundown, flying mounts aren’t allowed. He said that all day on the island it’s frozen on sundown.

He then grouped with me and said he’ll show me where these chests are and the “fun bosses”. So I flew to SW and took the portal to Pandaria, then flew to The Timeless Isle. Remembering what happened before, I flew in low, nearly touching the ocean. Then when I dismounted, I landed in the water instead of the shoreline, meeting up with him.

He showed me these various sized treasure chests, each one having a chance of having a Timeless armor item. What this does, gives you an armor piece based off of your spec using the powers of teleportation. Each one of these, was a much-needed upgrade. I managed to replace my helmet, chestplate, cloak, belt, pants, gloves…. This is… this is awesome.
Occasionally, I got duplicates of.. say a Cloak piece.
What’s cool about these, they’re BoA.. meaning, they’re tradable between my alts. I’m not sure if this means, that I could give something like… my Rogue a chest piece who is on my second account.
Two of these pieces, are quite humorous. “Crimsonscale *armor piece type here* of the Impatient”. Basically, makes a joke the fact you’re doing this instead of working your ass off getting gear.

He showed me that mobs are killable, even the elites! Now I know, there is still a glimmer of hope for this soloer.
Occasionally, General Chat is filled with Boss Fights. Terlarer had me do a few just to get a feel. I died once due to not paying attention to the boss’ AoE attack. This is due to 1, having a headache. And 2, being rusty and the Proving Grounds didn’t really help with that.
So after the boss is defeated (and if you tagged it), you pretty much get the loot. Mostly it was these Timeless Coins which can be turned in for various things.

I also managed to somehow get that Epoch Stone for that fellow dragon. That is good. Hopefully that will help the bronze out.

So overall… this island is like a permanent daily quest, except without the grinding of Rep/Valor/Justice and the annoying “come back tomorrow”. Do wish I could fly, though. But the fact I get free gear, I don’t mind not going dragon here.
It’s exactly like Terlarer said; all based on getting you geared up for the EP (and for raiding), which is what I desperately need. It will also, hopefully allow me to do SP, the final boss of The Eye, and maybe even ST.

I’m definitely coming back to it. The sooner I get all of my gear replaced (then eventually upgraded/enchanted/gemmed/reforged), the better my chances of doing endgame content will be.

One other thing I noticed. Over at the area with the celestials, the Ox is now attackable instead of Yu’lon. She is still unable to talk. But, this is the first time I saw her since the dungeon. Maybe she isn’t as much a wimp as I thought she was.

So I went back to it after ending this post. Wasn’t having much luck with finding those chests. It was more on the lines of just surviving everything.
These ghost Brewmasters can kick your ass when they turn on their Flying Serpent Kick. It weakened my pet to where he was barely alive. And Terlarer told me to clear out these houses to find the chests.
There’s three of them together at this one area. Aggro one and they’ll all doing their OP kick until you’re dead in 5 seconds.. if you’re lucky.

And the dragon that I turned the quest to? He wants me to now find 50 of these stones. I also learned more about what was going on with the celestials’ presence. Apparently, this isn’t just a challenge… but a challenge of your own personality. It’s the challenge of the last Emperor of Pandaria, who managed to face his doubts, fears, despair, and anger. He challenges you to do the same.

To live completely without Fear, Doubt, Despair, and Anger… hmmmm. I really don’t see how it’s possible. But this is why this EP is awesome.
It will never change who I am IRL, nor has it changed the personalities of people who play it. They mostly have Pride, and Anger.
Fear, Doubt, and Despair alone, are my greatest weaknesses.. not my gear. And I’m surprised the Sha of those negative thoughts haven’t shown up to do battle with me. If that was possible that the game actually detected a negative emotion in a player, to spawn a Sha of that negative emotion…

Blizzard is now “punishing” me for my playstyle (Warning: Ranting/Upset)

I decided to check out Mr. Robot just to see what is now suggested I would get. I’ve made a startling discovery.
All of the gear I’ve been trying to get, is now Justice instead of Valor, making it pretty much impossible for me to obtain. As in the only way to get Justice now, is a Random Heroic which I am barely geared for.
I’m going to be sick…..

This pretty much is my “THAT’S IT, MAN! GAME OVER, MAN! GAME OVER!” scenario. I’m screwed. Utterly screwed. All of the hell I went through with Dailies to try to get Revered or above to get their Valor point items that I needed… was for nothing! NOTHING!!! Blizzard, screwed me over! There’s no fucking point for me anymore to get Valor!
Yet, they aren’t the blame here. It’s always been me. Always been me. I waited too long to gear up. I had no idea… nofuckingidea, that they convert ‘old’ Valor Gear into Justice everytime a major patch hits (like 5.4). And so does the Valor Points that you worked your ass off to acquire.
The fact they are calling it ‘old’.. they are pretty much laughing at me. They just can’t say “you suck, do yourself a favor and stop playing” because they love my money.

Fucking Blizzard. If only, they would make it where I can convert Valor into Justice, this wouldn’t be so bad! It would give me a reason, to play again.
But no. That will never happen. You know why? They have proved it time and time again, that they care for Raiders, not soloers. Raiders, are the reason why they keep shitting out new content for them. They don’t give a FUCK about soloers anymore.

That’s why I feel, I must be a dying breed here. I’m probably, the only one on that server that solos. This is pretty much the death of the word “solo” in WoW.
Soloers, are the “poor” in WoW who can barely survive with the shit gear on their back. They are ridiculed, even though they try their best to keep up with the big boys.

As much as I beg to have an extra helping of Valor Points so I can have that gun that I’ve been breaking every bone in my body for, Blizzard swats my plate out of my hand and then allows Raiders to stomp all over me with racist slurs.

Maybe I should just stop fucking caring about going to this new content, just.. fuck trying to get geared up as it’s now impossible for me, and go back to what I had focused on before; soloing dungeons.
Except, a “soloable” 25-man Raid (aka SP) cannot be soloed by me, as I’m destroyed trying to kill the first set of mobs at the doorway. No matter how I do it, they kill my pet.. and then me. Over…and over…and over again.
Only way to stop this pain, is to gear up.. oh, that’s right. It’s pointless now since all the gear I was trying to get, is now Justice!

Playing with WoW, Exploring and Training

So I’ve been flying around, trying to find something to do. I first went back to the vale to see how Golden Lotus rep has been affected since what Douchebag Hellscream did. And the answer is.. big time. The Golden Pagoda is destroyed. But the Golden Lotus are still around, just have evacuated to the Garrison there.
I learned now, you can kill any mob wondering around the vale and get rep for Golden Lotus. No longer is it only based off of dailies. So yay for that.

I went to the Garrison, and discovered a new Daily quest that is really fun. It seems Blizzard is giving you another option to do those boring, annoying dailies, by doing a different kind of one that tests your skills instead of how patient you are or how good your gear is.
It’s called “Roll Club”. You get to roll up in a ball and roll down the Serpent’s Spine, using these powerups to make you faster. If you do this in 70 seconds or less, you’ll get an achievement. Nice touch, Blizzard. Though I would personally want to do this in my Dragon Form.

There’s also another new daily at the White Tiger Temple, of getting a torch all the way to the Proving Grounds, while avoiding small tornadoes. This has to be a reference to the torch of the Olympics.

After I completed that, I must had triggered an event that gave me mail from Lorewalker Cho. I didn’t see this until I teleported to SW to see if anything had changed. What’s left of Deathwing is still there.. still smothering. Yet I don’t see Garrosh’s head on a pike anywhere. I did see someone with the tag “the Hordebreaker”. I’m guessing this is what you get for doing the raid. Meh.

So that mail I got. He tells me to meet him urgently. Before I did that, I headed over to the AH and scanned, then sold all of my BoE gear. I doubt I’ll get anything for it. At least it cleared my inventory. Then I warped back home and flew there.
The Lorewalker has a new quest for me.
It appears King Varian has been busy when I’ve been on the MRT, trying to get the dwarves of Ironforge to assist him against a tribe of trolls. No one could send aid, as they were worried the Dark Irons would take over IF.
An ironic twist, with the leader of the Dark Irons offering to help. So they left. He wants to know what happened next. The only way to do this, is enter a Group Scenario.
I was shocked the Dark Irons would help. They are the bad guys here! So I decided to check out the scenario, praying it’s a Solo one… it wasn’t.

My two teammates ran ahead, knowing what to do while I stayed behind.. facepalming. But when her and the king started to talk, I thought “Hmm, this isn’t so bad, I’ll take screenshots of the conversation here”.
So following the conversation, the Dark Irons seem to want to redeem themselves for all the things they did. Interesting. I would have to play the scenario more to really understand what’s going on.. but I needed to train before I really started to play again.

So, back to the White Tiger Temple I flew, and made it safely. You have to go inside the large open area. And on the right corner near the door, there’s a Pandarian that helps you to train. You start a scenario (a solo one this time) and then pick your class. I of course went for Damage.
So, you have to defeat waves of visionaries (enemies that won’t attack back) before time runs out. With Damage… I only got up to Round 4 (barely too) and failed. Most times, I failed at Round 3. Meh… that proves I still don’t have the gear I need to do a lot of DPS. At least…… at least I don’t have actual players yelling at me about that. This thing seems damn useful for me, even more than just training. I can use this thing, as target practice. So when I’m able to kill quickly, is when I know I’ll pretty much be ready for anything.
It pits you against Level 90+ enemies, which is perfect for me.

There is one thing I didn’t like; the other “classes”. You see, I was hoping it would actually turn you into being a Tank or a Healer-based class instead of using what you have.
Instead… of the Tank and Healer training, you’re still Damage. So… what’s the point of having those options? I’m not a multi-role class (Druid/Monk/Pally) here, so I shouldn’t be needing this.

It is cool, though, that they have an Reforger and someone that can repair your gear in the room.
But all of this… to be honest isn’t the content I really care for to continue playing, until the next EP. Patch 5.4 is mostly based around raiding than actually doing things that I would enjoy.

I could grind grind grind until I get all that Valor gear, but what purpose does it have anymore? Plus I haven’t used Mr. Robot for months. I think the gear I already have now that I worked hard for, needs to be upgraded.
Valor isn’t like Justice. Valor has that god damn weekly limit that makes it even more annoying, and more of a reason to not even care to play. I was hoping Blizzard would fix this. But no, they didn’t. They just made it easier for Raiders to have their kicks.
If that limit wasn’t there and I could get as much Valor as I need until was capped like Justice.. then yes I would grind dailies again. But that’s not going to happen. Ever.

Sixth EP announced for WoW: “Warlords of Draenor”

Seeing how I’ve been busy on the MRT, I missed this and BlizzCon 2013(which was the 7th of November). So thankfully on the launcher screen, there’s a video showing the next Expansion.

At first, I thought this EP was an utter shit attempt of Blizzard trying to think of ideas just to keep the game alive. But Wowhead explains the expansion a lot more clearly than Blizzard does.

First off, let’s talk about WoW’s teaser video they show for every EP. You see feral orcs preparing for battle. It doesn’t really explain why they are, or even how this plays into the current lore of WoW. My guess, they’re trying to do what the game has always been about; Orcs vs Humans. What makes WoW, World of Warcraft.

Yet again, they never explain the reason why we have to fight this “Iron Horde”. A good reason, could be the fact the Dragon Soul really weakened the Bronze Dragonflight to the point it caused a disturbance in time, that opened a portal to cause the Iron Horde to invade Azeroth. Or, the Infinite Dragonflight did the portal.
Either way, this EP seems to be situated with going back in time. And where there’s time, you know the bronze dragons are behind it.

So anyway, here’s what I’ve learned from the Wowhead side of this EP;
– Questing continues by visiting Draenor, the Orc Homeworld, which is Outland 30 years ago before it was named or even shaped like it is now. All of the zones are different from what they are. And you can even see the Arakkota Homeworld (when they had wings). And best of all… Zangarmarsh is GONE! 😀

– Due to the above, the player level cap will be increased to 100. Yes, triple level chars for the first time in WoW history. This should hopefully make soloing Cata-level non-heroic dungeons possible.

– All Player Character races are being reskinned with new animations and textures to actually make them look more lifelike. So instead of looking like Barbie dolls, they’ll actually look more realistic.

– You can make a single character instantly level up to 90, but I’m reading that you “get to have one free upgrade”. When you do, you’ll get Level 90 gear and do a new quest involving the EP (mainly for newbies).

– New quests, of course. Blizzard calls it a “refined quest system”. Interesting.

– Build a Garrison. From what I read, is Blizzard’s answer for player housing. Sounds very interesting. Also read that you’ll be able to invite your friends into your Garrison via Party.
Blizzard must had heard me talking to myself in the farm, about wanting just this feature to happen. The unfortunate thing is Garrisons won’t be phased.
Also read that you can hire followers to quest for you, instead of the other way around. Now that, I like.

– Gearing up will be improved. I’m reading “Your armor will automatically change stats based on your spec”. Now this has my attention.

– Bags get an upgrade. You no longer have to have Quest Items in your inventory, and the cute toys that some NPC’s give you for completing a quest get their own little space. That’s more space in your bags. Nice!

– Reforging and some other gear stats are being removed. Hmmmmm.
– The current Outland portal will be moved to the Caverns of Time. Blizzard admits “the timeline is broken” with Cata being the present, then you go back in time to Outland, a bit further in Northrend (when the Dragon Aspects were still alive), then back in current time.
Pretty sure Blizzard will have a warp linking directly to the CoT for Level 58+ players.

.
As I said, I at first thought this EP was a waste. Now, not so much. Now, I actually want it. And the thing that your gear will auto-change stats based on your spec… ohh god. If I’m reading this right, my cries in the night and depression of never being strong enough to do what I want to do… could be finally put to rest.
If I am reading that right, no longer will you be judged of your gear, but your skills of being that class. Though I can just hear veterans going “GAH BLIZZ U MAKING IT 2 EASY!!”
But will that make gear currency, obsolete? We’ll have to see. And what about Heroic gear, and Dungeon, and PvP gear?

Also, Wowhead shows the new Level 100 Talent Tier. And for Hunters, it looks quite interesting. All three look quite beneficial to me.
First is called a “Bota Shot” which replaces Arcane Shot. Second, “Snipe” which replaces Steady Shot and Cobra Shot, and the third, is related to your pet. It’s called “With or Without You”.
This one is a two parter. Both of them are Passive so you don’t have to click on them.
For Beast Mastery, it’s called “Versatility” which OPs your pet by giving them nearly all pet talents and boosts their damage to 70%.
For Marksman and Survival, if you don’t have a pet, boots your damage by 30%.

Blizzard also has two more tricks up their sleeves. One is a new paid mount for a good cause (the Make-A-Wish Foundation), and the other, making the earlier versions of WarCraft work on current computers. The second one sort of has my interest, as playing it will definitely help me understand Warcraft’s lore.

No known release date of said EP. I imagine, sometime in 2014. MoP was released almost a year after it was announced, even though we knew it was coming even before it was announced. This… well.. the fact I’ve been on the MRT and not in WoW, I really don’t know if it has been known or not.
But anyway, perhaps the same will come to WoD.
That Dev Q&A video. They say there will be no more patches as it would delay the EP. They got their entire team working on WoD.

Playing with WoW, my “vacation” on The Timeless Isle

With the completion of I-1 in the MRT, I’ve decided it’s finally time to get over that hump and check out WoW again.
The new hardware definitely makes a difference ingame. My framerate is beautiful. No more turning lag! Flying around in my dragon form in the Valley of the Four Winds, is very smooth on full Ultra graphics. Plus WoW loads a hell of a lot faster!
Only negative thing I did notice, that outside WoW, I’m getting mouse lag. Not sure what’s going on there.

So I flew to the Valley of Eternal Blossoms. It looks quite messy. All the water is definitely gone and replaced with the same black and white goop I’ve seen when the Sha are around. However, nothing is looking dead which is nice.
You seem to start the quest to go to The Timeless Isle by talking to Chromie, who’s on the same level that Loremaster Cho is. I was shocked she wasn’t all “Garrosh did this you must stop him!”. It was all based with getting you to that island. So the Bronze Dragonflight need you to go there. I’m sure those type of quests, you can only get from your faction’s spire or capital city.

Getting to the island, you can fly there which is good. But you can also save you a trip by using this device to teleport you there. I just flew. It’s off the Southeast coast of The Jade Forest. So I reach the island, and I get dismounted and fall to my death. That’s just great…

After someone rezzes me for my stupidly, I manage to walk around and noticed pretty much as I thought and said earlier about the patch. All of the enemies here are Elite Level 90+ OP murderers. But actually, when you go deeper into the island, there’s non-elite 90’s here as well. Interesting. Very interesting. I’m sure there’s a few quests pertaining to these guys. And because of this, the island is somewhat easier to navigate and survive than the other isle with the dinosaurs.

Flying of course isn’t allowed here (as my death proves). There’s also a “buff” that notifies you that at Sunset, time is locked and flying mounts are disabled on the island. So I assume if you arrive in the day, you can fly? I’ll need to test this theory tomorrow.
But why is it only at sunset that flying mounts are disabled? I don’t really believe that. I think they’re disabled all the time. But I’ll find out when it’s day.

I managed to get to my contact who Chromie told me to meet, then told me to meet another one who is one of the Bronze Dragonflight dragons in mortal form. It’s nice to see the Bronze didn’t suddenly disappear like the others after the defeat of Deathwing.

So I met the fellow dragon. He told me to explore the island as a quest. Simple enough.. just survive the hard-hitting Elites. I accepted his challenge and did my best to explore all four corners of the island, dodging enemies left and right.
In one area, I met a Level… 86? Yes, an 86, who was trying to kill a Level 90 non-elite. Why was he here, in a high level, high-hitting zone? This was funnier than me being here in my shit gear. He saw me and “help pls” was said, and so I did and killed the mob. Then he looted, mounted up and ran off without saying a word.

With time (unintended pun there due to where I was), I finally got all the areas discovered. Died once trying to get back due to several non-elite 90’s chasing me. Not once did I think of using Feign Death. *facepalm*
So I got back to the dragon and turned in the exploring quest, then discovered another reason why they’re here. They say the flight has been weakened over the years and they’re not too happy with that. I’m guessing due to the Dragon Soul, yet he never explains the reason.
So they need an Epoch Crystal or something from one of the mobs to get their power back. Guess who has to fetch it like a good dog?

And that’s pretty much when I said “No. I just want to know how to go back home.” There’s two ways, similar to the other island.
1. Swim until leaving the zone until you get the ability to fly again, while dealing with Fatigue.
2. Utilize the Flightmaster and pay to get back.

Before I did that, I noticed all four celestials are here, including Yu’lon. Yu’lon alone is attackable for some reason. I was hoping to just talk to her and ask “what the hell are you doing here?”. The other celestials are Friendly, yet unable to talk to you. I do remember in the patch notes, where you can test your might with the celestials (or something like that). And there is a daily quest giver about that. I’m sure this is a Group quest.

With that, there was no other reason to stay here. I took Option 1 that I said earlier and was surprised it worked. There’s also this disembodied voice that says “You will suffer for this trespass!!” when you leave and enter the Fatigue area surrounding the island; heard it as I was flying in. This plays twice for some unknown reason.

And that is that. Later on, I’ll check out the Level 90 re-training courses at White Tiger Temple.. just as soon as I figure out why I saw people on that island, yet still in Pandaria. God damn Blizzard and its mindtrickery..

More updates for Space Engineers (and a few surprises)

There’s three updates with this one. Two of them are situated on building ships, and the other is a minor gripe of mine when it came to Large Ships. There’s a video explaining all the features and how they work. So let’s get down to them.
Seriously though, devs… make a freakin’ waypoint system already. I’m getting tired being lost.

The first one, Symmetry mode. The fact I don’t build ships, isn’t really useful for me. But anyway, you can now build quicker.

Second one, we now have an Inventory and a system similar to Minecraft’s pickblock feature. Also, it looks like Weapons systems might be coming soon. Which is a sure sign that Multiplayer is also coming.

And the third, which was a promised feature they had for Space Engineers’ release but apparently it got delayed, you can switch off Internal Dampeners. What Internal Dampeners do is to help slow down a ship or even yourself so you’ll stop quicker (think of it as an Air Brake in Space). With it off, you’ll keep your current speed (as there’s no friction in Space) until you turn it back on.
Basically, no more holding down the forward key. You’ll finally be able to walk around a large ship while it is moving!, which is what was promised.

Playing with the updates, I’ve discovered two more that the devs sneaked in. Not sure if they’re “bugs” or intended.

One, you seem to be able to move a lot faster when using a jetpack. Again, not sure if this was intended or is a “bug”, but I can move faster than a large ship at full speed. I can go up to 104.4 m/s. And this is with and without Internal Dampeners.

And two, if you switch off a Gravity Generator, your Jetpack auto turns on as it seems to detect no gravity. This is quite neat, and I’m pretty sure (and hoping) that this is no bug.

Space Engineers update addresses one of my major gripes

So there was an update to the Alpha game on Halloween. I haven’t checked it out as I’ve been busy on the MRT. But as said, it addresses one of my major gripes with the game. And that is that Large Ships were pointless as you can’t use them as transport for small ships.

Now, you can, with magnetic landing gear! Now, Large Ships CAN be used for transport! They also showed a tutorial video explaining advanced building techniques that were also added to the same update; such as quick building a large area and having rotating parts. Very neat.

Unfortunately, I wish the update would also give first person view to Big Ships. Hopefully in the future, this will be done.
