With the completion of I-1 in the MRT, I’ve decided it’s finally time to get over that hump and check out WoW again.
The new hardware definitely makes a difference ingame. My framerate is beautiful. No more turning lag! Flying around in my dragon form in the Valley of the Four Winds, is very smooth on full Ultra graphics. Plus WoW loads a hell of a lot faster!
Only negative thing I did notice, that outside WoW, I’m getting mouse lag. Not sure what’s going on there.
So I flew to the Valley of Eternal Blossoms. It looks quite messy. All the water is definitely gone and replaced with the same black and white goop I’ve seen when the Sha are around. However, nothing is looking dead which is nice.
You seem to start the quest to go to The Timeless Isle by talking to Chromie, who’s on the same level that Loremaster Cho is. I was shocked she wasn’t all “Garrosh did this you must stop him!”. It was all based with getting you to that island. So the Bronze Dragonflight need you to go there. I’m sure those type of quests, you can only get from your faction’s spire or capital city.
Getting to the island, you can fly there which is good. But you can also save you a trip by using this device to teleport you there. I just flew. It’s off the Southeast coast of The Jade Forest. So I reach the island, and I get dismounted and fall to my death. That’s just great…
After someone rezzes me for my stupidly, I manage to walk around and noticed pretty much as I thought and said earlier about the patch. All of the enemies here are Elite Level 90+ OP murderers. But actually, when you go deeper into the island, there’s non-elite 90’s here as well. Interesting. Very interesting. I’m sure there’s a few quests pertaining to these guys. And because of this, the island is somewhat easier to navigate and survive than the other isle with the dinosaurs.
Flying of course isn’t allowed here (as my death proves). There’s also a “buff” that notifies you that at Sunset, time is locked and flying mounts are disabled on the island. So I assume if you arrive in the day, you can fly? I’ll need to test this theory tomorrow.
But why is it only at sunset that flying mounts are disabled? I don’t really believe that. I think they’re disabled all the time. But I’ll find out when it’s day.
I managed to get to my contact who Chromie told me to meet, then told me to meet another one who is one of the Bronze Dragonflight dragons in mortal form. It’s nice to see the Bronze didn’t suddenly disappear like the others after the defeat of Deathwing.
So I met the fellow dragon. He told me to explore the island as a quest. Simple enough.. just survive the hard-hitting Elites. I accepted his challenge and did my best to explore all four corners of the island, dodging enemies left and right.
In one area, I met a Level… 86? Yes, an 86, who was trying to kill a Level 90 non-elite. Why was he here, in a high level, high-hitting zone? This was funnier than me being here in my shit gear. He saw me and “help pls” was said, and so I did and killed the mob. Then he looted, mounted up and ran off without saying a word.
With time (unintended pun there due to where I was), I finally got all the areas discovered. Died once trying to get back due to several non-elite 90’s chasing me. Not once did I think of using Feign Death. *facepalm*
So I got back to the dragon and turned in the exploring quest, then discovered another reason why they’re here. They say the flight has been weakened over the years and they’re not too happy with that. I’m guessing due to the Dragon Soul, yet he never explains the reason.
So they need an Epoch Crystal or something from one of the mobs to get their power back. Guess who has to fetch it like a good dog?
And that’s pretty much when I said “No. I just want to know how to go back home.” There’s two ways, similar to the other island.
1. Swim until leaving the zone until you get the ability to fly again, while dealing with Fatigue.
2. Utilize the Flightmaster and pay to get back.
Before I did that, I noticed all four celestials are here, including Yu’lon. Yu’lon alone is attackable for some reason. I was hoping to just talk to her and ask “what the hell are you doing here?”. The other celestials are Friendly, yet unable to talk to you. I do remember in the patch notes, where you can test your might with the celestials (or something like that). And there is a daily quest giver about that. I’m sure this is a Group quest.
With that, there was no other reason to stay here. I took Option 1 that I said earlier and was surprised it worked. There’s also this disembodied voice that says “You will suffer for this trespass!!” when you leave and enter the Fatigue area surrounding the island; heard it as I was flying in. This plays twice for some unknown reason.
And that is that. Later on, I’ll check out the Level 90 re-training courses at White Tiger Temple.. just as soon as I figure out why I saw people on that island, yet still in Pandaria. God damn Blizzard and its mindtrickery..
