BATIM Chapter 4 analysis, and theories (Spoilers, duh)

With it being soooo uncomfortable (and almost unbearable) to play VRChat, or even work on my world (it feels like a balmy 93* in my room and I’m using only the power of hot wind to ‘cool’ me.. ugh), it’s time to do something I’ve actually been unsure of doing (as I’m not really good at explaining theories as someone like Youtuber ProdCharles would be), but it’s better than melting infront of my computer.

But of course, like any theory… this blog post will contain spoilers of Chapter 4. As standard disclaimer; if you haven’t completed the chapter, do so now before reading the words in this post. I will not be held responsible if you fail to read this disclaimer.

Let’s begin, for I have four theories to go over with you folks…

Theory #1: The fate of Henry’s co-workers, & “He (Henry) will set us free”
From playing Chapter 4, we’re introduced to a new being; inky, human-like creatures with glowing eyes. They’re neutral to Henry, yet look like the player character that could help them (unlike the Searchers and The Butcher Gang). Some look visibly upset, but why? That answer doesn’t come until after entering the door of having one of the creatures mumbling to itself about “when are we going to go home”.
Upon entering the door, you’ll see several of these creatures. And on the walls, is your answer… these are the workers of the studio (the artists, animators, production crew.. you name it).
It seems Sammy wasn’t as crazy as he seemed at the end of Chapter 2. Because, remember when he said that “he will set us free”? The ‘us’, is the workers. And obviously, ‘he’ meaning Bendy.

But here’s something else to think about.. Henry is the ‘he’ (that will set the workers free). Let’s discuss this sub-theory. As you’re progressing through the start of Chapter 4, you come across a study with a inner and outer ring of books. 6 of these Bendy books, have to be pushed in, to open the secret passage. But as soon as Henry pushes the second one in, suddenly the game screams at you (with shit happening and stuff). I say, this could be ‘Ink Hell’.
This ‘hell sequence’ happens again after getting past the tram cart of jumpscares (with the inky human-like arms coming out of the walls). All of this at the start (even when the tram stops, and starts again), could be Bendy sending Henry a message, that he.. is the one that will ‘set them free’ (and not Sammy). And this could very well play into Chapter 5.
I’ll discuss this in more detail, in the 3rd theory.

Theory #2: There were two Boris’, and two Alice Angels’
This theory is pretty obvious (though at the end, it might not actually be true). Now I theorize, the Boris you were with at the start of Chapter 3, that was the real Boris. How? There’s a piece of paper showing that he has beaten Henry at cards (a lot). This is to also show to the player, that they’re great friends. But if this was a clone, I doubt it would react the way it did around Henry.
Something also happened (twice). The first time, when Boris left Henry to open the door for him, and after Boris seeing all of the dead clones of him. It’s possible, one of these clones (while Alice was contemplating about what she should do with Henry) was somehow still alive. And Boris switched himself with this clone (who didn’t move in the elevator) in order to keep himself from going through the same fate.
It might seem cruel and unusual, but he didn’t make this decision on his own. It was a desperate attempt, that the real Alice Angel told him to do.
What, you forgot there were two Alice Angels? As we know, the original Alice (mentioned in Chapter 2) was Susie Campbell (who felt she was perfect as the voice of Alice). But in Chapter 3, it was mentioned that she has been replaced by Allison Pendle (due to how Allison was hotter and more attractive to Joey Drew). Susie was understandably fucking pissed. So, it only makes logical sense, that she would be ‘the evil Alice’.
And then, there’s the “end the Angel” thing (in the trailer). It was obvious enough that the player would be doing it.. yet the real Alice is the one that does? Though, I feel The Meatly didn’t want to specify just who would be doing the ending.
“the Angel” has still been “ended”, even though it wasn’t done by Henry, it was still done.

EDIT: I’m being told by several of you guys, that this new Boris is named ‘Tom’ in the game files. I personally feel this is a placeholder (and/or an error). Also, this new Boris clearly has a robotic left arm, which throws off my theory that this might be the real Boris (or not). Looks like the obvious route, might not be the correct one (all the time).

Theory #3: The Ink Machine will be destroyed in Chapter 5
Another obvious (but it might not actually be true) theory. Since Sammy is.. unknown (some theorize he’s obviously dead, and others feel he’s still alive), The Projectionist is dead (by the inky hands of Bendy), and evil Alice Angel is dead (by the hands of the (hopefully) good Alice Angel), all there is really left to do.. is to destroy what created this mess; the Ink Machine. And the reason for doing so, is the workers will finally be set free.
But what of Bendy? And why is it, that is is killing everyone that’s trying to harm Henry (Sammy, and then The Projectionist)?
Because, Bendy (aka Joey Drew) is indirectly helping you (while also attempting to ‘steer you in the right path'(by chasing you)). And the reason why he doesn’t go after evil Alice, he wanted Henry to see the truth for himself (at the end of Chapter 4).
This whole thing of getting Henry to come back to the studio (after 30 years), could be nothing but a cry for help (and redemption).
Though I also feel, there could be a final boss fight with Henry VS Bendy (and the mechanics could be very interesting). Perhaps, Joey Drew suddenly doesn’t want Henry to destroy the Ink Machine. That’s possible.
Perhaps, Henry would be given a multiple choice thing (with possibly several different endings (some good, some bad, and one being ‘canon’))?

Theory #4: There is only one Ink Machine
This ‘multiple Ink Machines’ theory has been talked about since Chapter 3, with finding the blueprints for the machine in the same chapter. Many theorized that Alice was building her own Ink Machine (due to all the errands she asked Henry to do). Though I now believe, it was to make the clone of Boris, ‘FrankenBoris’.
A reason why I believe there is only one Ink Machine, is as follows. After opening the door and entering the long hallway, you’ll see a jumpscare with inky arms coming out of the walls.
If you look at the end of the hall as the jumpscare ends, you’ll see what looks like the top of something large being lowered down. If you were to continue (during the jumpscare), you’ll see more of this large thing. This, is the Ink Machine being lowered down further into the studio. Entering the room (and getting talked to by Alice), it should look similar to the newly designed room in Chapter 1 (with the chains).
If there was more than one Ink Machine, why would the one you had to turn on in the first chapter, need to be lowered?

Bendy and the Ink Machine: Chapter 4 completed, thoughts

The year-long wait is OVER! Chapter 4 has finally been released, and I already crave the final chapter. For I have completed the chapter (though I had to get help from a Youtube video, to figure out a few spots I couldn’t figure out on my own, for the life of me).

But before I start my thoughts of the chapter, let me explain what’s been changed overall (with all chapters);
-The main menu. Personally, I liked the original. But this one is more ‘new player friendly’.
-When you die, you literally have to walk into the light to respawn. I thought my game ‘crashed’, but I didn’t know I was supposed to walk through this ink-soaked tunnel to respawn.
-And of course, the updated versions of Chapters 1, 2, and 3 (released for free). I’ll be trying these out as soon as I get this thing published.

With that out of the way, it’s time to talk about my thoughts. And overall, I.. well, I felt it was kind of lacking in places (aka, things shown in the trailers that weren’t in this version). But not everything was cut before the release.
Another thing (that I absolutely have to talk about)… that ENDING, yo! 😀 I have so many questions (but I shall not spoil them)!! I mean, I knew we were going to (RETRACTED), but I didn’t know (RETRACTED)(RETRACTED)!
Plus, (RETRACTED)! And did I mention (RETRACTED)?

As to say if the chapter was worth the $6 I had to pay, I can’t fully say (mainly due to the difficulty I had). A few more hints could had been added, in my honest opinion. But if you’re a huge Bendy fan, then yes I would say it’s worth it. It’s the same quality you would expect from the other chapters. I will say, it’s much better than Chapter 3.

Why rebuilding my world may not be as hard as I thought

A small update I must say, to the issue with my world. Yesterday, the devs got back to me, giving me a single troubleshooting step (which turned into two troubleshooting steps, as I didn’t fully understand what was suggested).. that sadly didn’t fix it.
As said before, I think my only option is to completely rebuild my world. But again, I dunno if it’s worth doing it.. not when this issue is plaguing me. Plus… plus, I forgot how to do it (which feels highly embarrassing).

In ways, I just want to wait to see what the devs say. Yet at the same thing, waiting for that.. I should be making myself occupied by doing a complete redo.

UPDATE: They also asked for the WorldID, which I gladly gave to them. And finally, they asked that I update to the latest SDK (which came out a few days ago).

However, I won’t need to find out for myself if this is even going to work. Because Kibble’s doing another dev stream (at the time of writing this). And I asked him those ‘important’ “is terrain stitching easy to do?” (and of course about mountains) questions.
After a bit of a delay, he showed me what ‘terrain stitching’ really is (which is simply placing one terrain plane next to another, by making them be at the same height).
And as for mountains on a stitch, he showed me the brush will blend between the two.
And finally, when I told him about the issues with my world (such as not being able to upload), he suggested that I fall back to the previous SDK (as the current one is buggy). But (again), I feel I need to wait to see what the devs say.

VRChat Developer Update (#2) released, thoughts

Yesterday (under my nose), the devs released the second video. Quite odd, as they said it would be “every other week” when these come out. In any case, I’ll be going over the video (just like before) and give my opinions.
And like before, here is the link to the video.

The video is separated in 5 sections, similar to the first video.

#1: VRChat Home. Tupper goes over an introduction of the new system (for new players). Though if you’re new to VRChat, please see the first update video.
He promises new additions to the home world (with hopefully one giving the option to make your home instance.. a populated server), and how you can set your own home instance.
Personally, I like the new Home feature (especially when I no longer have to use Steam’s advanced settings to use my world as my home). But as said again, I would like to see an option of having your home to be converted into “last visited server” (much like how the game will save your last used avatar).

#2: Cameras. Going over the features of both the new photo camera, and streaming camera (for VR users ONLY). But also explains how Desktop users didn’t get shafted, being able to take a 4k screenshot with CTRL+F12.
Except what Tupper failed to say (yet was said in the patch notes), these high quality screenshots may take a lot of your storage space (depending on several factors that would be too many to list).

#3: Vive Controls. HTC Vive users rejoice, you finally have something you wanted! You can now switch between the ‘classic’ Vive movement system, and the ‘advanced’ Vive movement system, with classic being the default system.

#4: Additional Features. This goes over the other changes made to the System and UI (where a lot of controversy was made). This also explains changes pointed at content creators (avatars and worlds).
Possibly one of my favorite changes of the SDK (yet not mentioned in the video), is not worrying I’ll create a clone of my world when attempting to remove the old world (if the upload ‘fails’). Now, the ‘VRC_Pipeline Manager’ script, will automatically detach itself (clearing the old WorldID). Now only if avatars would work the same way.

#5: On the Way. Upcoming features are mentioned here, such as ‘favorite friends’, ‘favorite worlds’ (and “view their own recent worlds”). Aka, I’ll be able to set ‘Best Boi’ as one of my favorite worlds, and find it quicker in the list. I really like how it sounds.
PlayMaker is also mentioned, saying “the closed beta is well underway”, and they’re “making progress in polishing per-release.”

It ends with the usual “send us feedback”, and a pretty cheesy outro.
Interesting video. And best of all, it doesn’t fill you with hype. All of these upcoming changes, are nothing but EoU (Ease of Use). They seem to understand, hype is very dangerous. Knowing what your limits are, and explaining them to the player, is a great way of being transparent and honest with your community.

Could this latest VRChat patch, be a sign of what’s to come?

The patch to fix the ‘issue’ with showing the PlayerID, has been pushed today. Though this caused more issues, in the form of “why aren’t you talking? Why isn’t anyone talking?!”
Creepery discovered this thing (as I was still working on a blog post from last night, but nearly fell asleep infront of my computer before I could finish it). He was also having some issues with his computer (and Steam), but got them mostly sorted out.
I logged in too, curious if this bug is also happening to me. And it clearly was. It was like they were trying to speak to me, but nothing was being said. Yet I was able to speak just fine to Creepery. It was really freaking us out.
I love how the VRChat Devs took a thing that wasn’t broken, and broke it. Lovely. Now they’re going to have to patch the patch.. fucking hell. Plus, they never even posted this update on the News section of VRChat (to list what else it might have fixed).

Thought “is this also happening in the other worlds?” and hopped over to a random world. And they too, were not talking to themselves (or me). That was, until someone in VR started making sounds of adjusting their headset. Ran over and said hey, and they said hey back. I’m all “cool, I can hear you!” I’m trying my best to explain what’s going on (with my brain not wanting to fully lock on words that would be useful).
The person said that they too have been seeing the same thing, and said “this is probably a glitch”.

But it was soon discovered (when more and people were able to speak again)… it wasn’t a glitch or a bug. People that hadn’t updated yet, were being muted. Still, this should had been posted (being an ‘issue’) by the devs.
This greatly worries me, if this is going to be ‘the new norm’ of future updates to this game… well, I’d be lying if I said “this is OK”.

Finally, this also didn’t fix what’s causing my world not to load right. I already knew it wouldn’t.. but, you never know.. it’s kind of been the theme of my world.

A surprise bundle of cuteness / Telephone’s VRChat Podcast

During the issues that were extremely frustrating me with my world (and how Unity wasn’t wanting to work with me right), two things (just not happening at the same time). Were happening yesterday (and this morning).

Coming to the Best Bois in hopes someone would understand what I’m going through, I noticed everyone (and Kibble) hanging close to the church doors. I tried my best to listen in as Kibble is explaining a secret model somewhere in the world. Some of the people here, jumped when he said certain things. But like the running gag, it wasn’t “a blade of grass”.
One said “Pfft, I can just go under the map and see it!”, but he already knew someone would try that, and explained his evilness of making sure that wasn’t going to happen.

Then it was all “Tally ho, bois! Let’s go find that model!” I could almost hear Kibble laughing behind us as we ran over to the beach-themed part of the world. They started looking for clues, while I stayed back.. knowing I had more pressing matters to deal with (my world), and logged off to deal with them. I wasn’t in the mood to search, not when I can’t fucking get into my world. Hopefully you folks understand that. I mean, you probably would be too, when something you worked hard on.. decides to not work anymore (and you did nothing different of when it was working).

Much later, I began to notice pictures in the Discord server, of these small Best Boi-like models.. and they’re so fucking adorable!! It made me re-remember what brought me to that server. It also made me question “did Kibble make these? Was he secretly working on the Small Bois, and just released them?”
Came back in to investigate.. and more importantly, where in the hell do you find these fuzzy things that I wish I had VR, so I can pick one up and squeeze the life out of it (figuratively, mind you)! They’re just SO CUTE!
Played it cool for a bit, not wanting to actually be begging for someone to show me where the model is (as it’s supposed to be a secret). Time passed, and a few went actively looking for the model (while I tagged behind). One lead me to the beach-themed area of the world again, but ran over to the small beached boat. Hidden, was a small treasure chest. He said “click on it and then spawn back to the lobby”. And so I did, but nothing happened. Yet I did notice some strange markings after I had clicked on it (before respawning back).
Seeing how this didn’t work (as we didn’t have the model), we ran back. Another one followed us, asking “did you see the paw prints?” Remembering seeing that strange marking I mention earlier, I said “I saw something” as we made it back to the chest.

I saw what looked like Best Boi paw prints on the ground, leading away from the treasure chest. We were obviously to follow them, which lead back to the portal.
However, since Kibble would prefer me not to spoil the rest, I won’t be mentioning what else we went through. Only that it was really clever with the way he did this scavenger run.
And the reward, is this oh so adorable thing. Though I have learned later, that Kibble didn’t make these models; it was someone named ‘GearBell’ (who I remember was the first to show the model). She had allowed permission for Kibble to use the model. Here I had thought (and hoped) this could had been the ‘Small Bois’ he promised would come ‘sometime after Easter’.
But in any case, they are still adorable (I can’t say that enough).

Telephone’s VRChat Podcast
And here’s the second thing that happened (last night). Though, this thing would had come a few days ago. But thanks to Ashi’s ‘fun times’ of destroying a server, it got postponed. But they were able to pull it off.
Here is the recording of stream. Ashi is the one to thank for the stream. Others have streamed it too, but they were incomplete.
The podcast starts at 3:18.

Now just my opinion, I can see why a lot of people appreciate Telephone. Myself? The only thing I know about her, is she inspired Kibble to make the Best Boi model. That’s pretty much it.
Still, it’s quite fascinating to hear her explain the questions, especially the fact the ‘Dutch’ part of the Dutch Angel Dragon fursuit, isn’t because she’s Dutch.. but it’s based off of a horse that she drew, that she named “Dutch”. That is really, really cool.

One important note to mention, is at the end. Though this wasn’t said during Ashi’s stream of the podcast (yet it can be heard from this one (around 0:26:56), he said there should be another podcast. Then adds on “in the next interview, we should introduce someone else… like maybe Kibble”.
Interesting, very interesting. I just hope if he does agree to do this, there would be no major issues. It would also be cool to watch a podcast of the one that created the Best Bois.

Sadly, that podcast never came to fruition. Kibble was actually OK with it, but it never got set up.

The latest VRChat update does more harm than good

VRChat has been updated today, given the promised features of the dev update (and more). Now, VR users have a new toy to play with; their very own personal camera. Yeah, keep laughing in the faces of Desktop users, and dangling a $400-600 ‘alternative’ high above us (when I know it’s going to be like paying for a fucking HTC Vive, by the time I get the hardware I need to run it for my computer).

But unlike previous VRChat updates, this one is quite ugly. Some people feel that adding two buttons to hide the HUD/Nameplates, are pointless ‘features’ (compared to not looking at major issues with the game). Personally, I have no need for these features.

Another ugly thing, affects streamers and people who share videos. A person discovered the new UI, shows the UserID (and could potentially be used by a hacker to gain access into your account)… good going, VRChat Devs.
However, they’ve announced that they already know about this, and it’s not exactly true (even explaining “the ID cannot be used to login without a password”). Aka, there was no threat to your account. But to curb the fears, they’ll be pushing a patch shortly to remove this info. This is good.

But I also have an issue with the update. It affects my world, as in.. it no longer wants to run anymore. It sits on a black screen, and sits, and sits..(etc), just like the issue I had with the white screen (when it came to video players). So I thought “okay, I’ll just update the SDK (as there’s been an update), reupload, and that should fix it.”
But getting that done, I had to go to the VRChat Discord server to report this issue preventing me from importing it. Had the idea of closing down Unity, removing the VRCSDK folder, and then doubleclicking on the .unitypackage. This worked.

Reuploaded the world, no problem. Tried it in VRChat, it showed there was an update… but again, nothing. Nothing but a black screen. It had past the loading bit, and usually I would see my mouse cursor’s background circle be flashing (indicating it was loading).
But I saw none of that. It’s like, my world is dead. Tried my older, original world, and it works just fine. I also tried to clear my cache… yet instead of telling me to manually login (and having to set my settings and shit like that), it’s like I didn’t actually do it. All of my settings were still saved.
When asking, I was told that it actually clears world cache. Seems it didn’t work, as I still couldn’t get my world to fully load.

I don’t know what happened.. it was working just fine yesterday. I’ve made no changes to it (eversince I stopped working on it). Yeah, I was in it. Was having a discussion with a few people. Though a 3rd person that wanted to join, was reporting an issue eerily similar to what I’m having now.
Even trying to do it in Unity as a test build, gives the same result (and this is after removing the TV (saving it as a prefab before I did that)). I thought it could had been what videos I had in the video player, causing the issue.
Someone believes the server is on, is down. But I don’t think so. If it was, it would not had passed the world loading screen. I think it’s something in the world that the new update doesn’t like. It could be a texture. It could be an asset. It could even be a prefab. But instead of playing the “it could be” game, I think this is something that’s literally going to force me to redo my world all over again (but using texture stitching).
I’ll try to give it a week. If it’s not fixed by then, then I’ll try my idea.

EDIT: There might (and I do mean ‘might’) be a possible solution to this issue. I was at my whits end, having stored every house as a prefab.. even the river, and removing them, to see if they’re causing the issue (and they weren’t), I was literally on my hands and knees, begging for help.
Someone named ‘Tony’ came to my rescue. He felt that yes, this isn’t normal behavior, and he wanted to help me with my issue. I shared my screen with him, and we did several troubleshooting steps.
The one that ‘worked’, was setting the FPS Controller script as the camera. It started off black screen (again)… for nearly two minutes. Suddenly I see my world, and I gasp. Yet I’m also seeing this ominous thing right where spawn is. Told Tony, and he says “that settles it, it’s a VRCSDK issue. Report it to support right away.”

So I typed as briefly as I could to an email (of all the steps I took that lead up to this), then sent them both the Unity log and the VRChat log (including that picture). And I really hope they’re able to fix it (or at least provide me with a workaround).

Still doesn’t make much sense to me, though. If this is ‘a VRCSDK issue’… how come no other worlds have this issue? Why am I the only one (it seems) to be having this issue? And of course I said the same exact thing about the video player white screen issue.
There probably is other people, and the affected worlds that are no longer available (being my only thought, as the owners of them temporarily took them down). Even the Best Boi server has been very slightly messed up, with the windows of the church/meeting room being colored white. Kibble does know about this, and said he’ll fix it.
Do the devs ever thoroughly test their shit?

Kibble ‘to the rescue’.. but will it bring me back into Unity?

I forgot how long it’s been, since I stopped working on my world. All because “Unity terrain BAD!! Lags on VR!” the #world channel of the VRChat Discord server told me. Yet just like ‘trying’ to build my house (without using ProBuilder), I have nothing but feelings of fear (of failing). This fear has plagued me of the years I was active in Garry’s Mod, and now it’s resurfaced for the way I do my world in Unity.
A fear of knowing of what I want to do, will fail (without even trying to see if I could’ve been wrong). And no amount of “fear makes you stronger, embrace it” will change my attitude.
I’m concerned this ‘terrain stitching’ I was told, is going to even work in my favor. And even if I do manage to get them to link, I seriously doubt I’ll be able to do the mountains I want. Plus, I no longer have anyone that would encourage me to try. The guy that helped me with the chair in the past, has stopped talking to me (and has for weeks now). And I’ve already stated the possible reason behind it… another victim of the way I treat my friends as ’emotional punching bags’.
When will it ever stop…. when I’m dead?!
Meh. I hate losing friends over such a STUPID thing as this. But when I get so fucking emotional, I lose control of myself.

But all may not be gloom and doom for this once world builder, as Kibble may have the answers I seek. But due to all the drama (in the world of my mind) that was going on, I never once thought of asking him for the dimensions of what he used for his terrain stitching. Yet I also thought to myself.. “why in the fuck would he tell me? What if he feels I’m trying to copy him?” The reason, is no one (that I know) has ever asked Kibble this kind of question.
When I mentioned this in general (a few days ago), someone felt “wow, yeah! That’s a good question!”, and suggested that I should try to ask in the #questions-for-mods channel (and direct them to Kibble). Thought “what the hell” and went for it.
Did it later on that day, ending with “this would help me if I should restart (or not) on my own world”. I expected to be ridiculed for wasting Kibble’s time on such a stupid question, yet no one said anything to me (for the longest time).

Nearly three hours later, he.. actually responded to me! He told me (basing what he could remember) is 200×200 for stitching. He also said that he used Autodesk (I have no idea what that is), 3ds Max, and Maya for modeling.
He also gave me many, many tips to set up mountains and hills. And the best thing about them.. they’re actually easy to understand. They don’t involve ‘advanced’ anything; nothing like what I was told.
Some time after that, I thought of a second question.. the thing that has been deterring me from getting ‘back in the saddle’. Is this crap about Unity terrain being bad on VR, true? And the next day, he gave me some quite surprising news. Since he has VR, he claims that he “hasn’t seen an issue with lag” with Unity terrain… proving that terrain stitching is a highly viable option to me.

That’s fantastic news. But… it’s not really encouraging me to get back into Unity. And as to why, I don’t know if it’s possible to add terrain, to an existing large world (basically, ‘mirror’ what I already have done to that terrain plane). Not only that, but I also don’t know if terrain stitching will ‘copy’ changes over to another terrain plane.
Basically, you take a brush, and you put it right between the stitching. I’m concerned if one side rises, but the other doesn’t.
Sadly, the only way to know for sure.. is to.. *ugh* test it myself. Which means, I’ll have to get over my ‘fear’ of failure. Meh. 😛

Huge changes coming to the Best Bois, at the end of May

As like I’ve been doing of posting a rather dramatizing blog post, I state that there needs to be a second one of a more cheerful nature (in order to brighten up the mood).
And this is no exception to that ‘rule’.
So what’s going to happen at the end of May? It could be when the server closes, or it could be when Kibble decides to give the reins to one of the mods (and retiring).
But none of these outcomes are true. Because Kibble, releasing the Best Boi model on VRCMods, is!
He claims that this is the way he planned it (being around how the community has grown over the five years since its start), but his response is only half true. The other half came from a question (from myself), if this decision was through Telephone (which is yes). And when he told me this, all I could feel was pure joy (that what I thought might happen (with her joining and seeing just how much we appreciate her work), actually happened).
Basically (what I felt happen), she convinced Kibble that “VRChat is a free game, and so the model should be free for anyone to use as they see fit”. He also added that it was never his intention to sell the model (nor did I feel it was.. apart from the whole ‘plaque incident’, but that’s all in the past).

But does this mean, he would be done with the world? Nope, as he mentioned the ‘Best Corgis’ race again. Says their release would follow the same release of the Best Boi model. And these Corgis would be treated the same way as the Best Bois, having several themed areas.
And finally, people that don’t ‘abuse the privilege’ when getting their hands on the model, will be praised in various ways by Kibble. One such praise, is he proposes a ‘catwalk’ world (or something), where players with custom Best Boi models can show off their work.

Even though I’m not exactly good at custom avatars, I’ll probably grab one (just to say “I’m a Best Boi!”). I might try to retexture it (by using the white one) to be more of a reddish fur color (while keeping the black stripes and stuff). Don’t think it would be too difficult (using something like Paint.NET).

Shadow of the Annoying Lizards

Feeling like I ‘have no purpose to be a world builder’ (and no real incentive to get into VRChat), it’s time to finally open up that Gamefly envelope that’s been sitting next to my PS4 (since February), and play some Shadow of the Colossus. And just like what I saw from Dan, the game is stunning and the colossi are huge.
I’ve defeated Colossus 1 with only a ‘few’ issues of nearly running out of grip (and still being fairly new to the controls). But now I’m trying to find most of the fruit trees and lizard tails to upgrade my stats a bit.
The lizards (if you couldn’t tell by the title) have been the most annoying to find (even with this video I’ve been following). I mean, it’s not hard to find the general area they’re at, but.. well, here. Take ‘B4’ for example (on the map there). There’s supposed to be three lizards. He claims the first one is usually in the grass, yet I found it scuttling around on the pray temple. Killed it, got its tail, ran away from it as far as I felt I needed to go (as you have to in order to reset it), and ran back. This time, the lizard is no longer on the temple. So I’m thinking “OK, it’s probably in the grass somewhere”. I’m running around the grass, trying to listen for the sound of the lizard.. while Agro decides he has to run over to me suddenly, ruining my concentration.
I seriously wish we could tie the horse to a post, and do our thing (instead of him running over to you). There was even one time where he ran me over, going full speed. That horse is so dumb! Reliable (like a dog), but dumb (just like a dog)!
Eventually I found the lizard.. without the glowing tail. Killed it, ran away (again as far as I could), came back. Lizard showed up again, still without the glowing tail.
As you can see, I wasn’t having a lot of fun here. Where are the other two lizards? Am I not running far enough away? Pretty sure I am.. not like I can really run in a straight line in any direction (at this point of the world).
Sadly, this is the only quick way to upgrade your stats (in order to gain an advantage against the harder, trickier Colossi in the game). The other (slower) way, is to complete the game 5 (or so) times to fully max out your stats.
