My new life / Revenge is sweet / House built

Overnight, I finally found a place to plop down the 1×1. Right next to the road that leads to First Light lake is a small area with some stone slabs, and no fences around. All I saw was a badly damaged, unfinished coffin.
I don’t know if I should include this coffin in my plans, but I rather just focus on getting Ship building up.
I’m really getting my carp up due to making planks and building the house. But life hasn’t been easy..

I’ve been attempting to make nails and stuff for the house I plopped down. So has Sharp who found a place up high overlooking the HoTS Lake. Finally I have my stuff and work on my house. I then realized I forgot to make a 4th nail, and a door lock, and I also had to go.

So the next day I had to go back to New Dawn and make the two things. But I had one little problem. The two forges that me and Sharp used, were being used by all of these guys. I had to get in and put my lumps from yesterday in it, and made what I needed.

When I got back, I fed my dog the last unit of meat I had. I’ve been trying to contact Borderland for more meat but have been unable to until now. So again I had to put my cart in the Cart Parking, and then run down to Borderland’s house. This also gives me a chance to see what those fuckers have done to our village.

When I got there, Borderland wasn’t there. He told me he was elsewhere attempting to tame a Champion Wolf. I walked around the village and noticed some of my remaining tools were still there, and took them. Also the log Border gave me to imp my spindles.
I also.. took a few other things. In one of the houses, there was six planks, and two 20 QL logs. I took them all to get my revenge for kicking us out.

I continued to wait for Borderland when this guy popped up, and then wondered what I was doing here, yet remembers what happened. He tells me the guy that slapped a house down, is a guy that was planning to do it before angry popped in and decided to claim the land. Border then told me to enter his village and grab the meat I needed. Instead of doing just that I took some pictures of the place, knowing I was never going to have a chance like this again. And this was during a developing fog bank.

Soon I grabbed five units of meat and left, then told him to lock it, but my dog was trapped in the doorway so he had to unlock it again to get him out, and then locked it again. I then made sure it was locked. I tried to leave but I couldn’t see shit with the fog, but knew I needed to run before the guy realized his logs and planks were missing. I also managed to get Sharp down here to get some meat. But with this fog I had no idea where I was going. But I used any known landmark and made it back when the fog was almost gone.

Then made it back and got my cart. Finally the house is built and my cart has a safe place to store in, and I’m able to FINALLY.. get my carp up, then my Ship building skill up.
However, thanks to the spindle imping I did before, plus the house building and plank sawing, I got it near 20.

So now all I need to do is make a few Oars and imp them.

Makin’ Spindles / It’s over…

Before I get to the bad part, I have to explain how my day went. I’ve been making and imping spindles all day today, trying to get my Carp up. Borderland said that I’m better off just making planks, than make something I can’t use. But I just ignored him.
A few hours later as I was imping and Sharp was digging, Borderland tells us to hide saying he’s bringing some friends over. I had no idea his “friends” were a pack of wolves. When I found out I quickly ran for the Cart Shack and waited. Some time later Sharp joins me, laughing that a wolf almost got him.

I got my carp up to 16 something. Not that it matters anymore..
After I got back from eating, I heard a guy hammering behind me. I turned around and saw this guy named Jonibher building a 1×3 right on our land. Now angry has been gone almost all day due to reading something about Golden Valley’s future, and his religious grandparents were over at his house, so I was forced to confront this guy myself. The guy refused to move his house, saying he had every right to place it there because we didn’t fence in the area.
Finally I got angry to confront this guy. While this is happening, Borderlands is PMing me saying he dealt with these guys before and got the same treatment I was. Angry was forced to get a GM.

As we waited, angry started grabbing the dirt we have dug and building a wall around this guy’s house, and telling me to help him. As much as he is my friend, he was going too far.

When the GM showed up, he seemed like he was sick and tired of what angry has been doing, and pretty much let him have it. Telling him that he was supposed to fence in the area a few days ago, which I was never told. Now it’s too late. I attempted to step in to defend angry by saying “You mean to tell me he can stay here? We were planning to put up walls soon.” Soon angry had enough and told the GM “…fuck it” and dropped everything he had on him, and then left.

My heart sank into my stomach when he left. I couldn’t stand to see angry beaten up like that, nor did I know what I was going to do (I still don’t). Angry told me on Skype to wait for Anayy and tell him to just go back to Freedom.
A few minutes after angry left, Anayy gets on and I tell him the bad news, and he heads off wondering if I’ll come to Freedom.
I was able to grab all of the stuff angry dropped and I pretty much left the area he worked so hard on. It was a painful journey back to New Dawn, but at least it was a safe one. During my walk back with my cart and my new Young raging dog, Borderland was telling me I was doing the same thing angry did to him.
I asked him what he meant, and he said that he wanted to claim that land before angry ran in and claimed it as his own. Also, angry stole from him.

He also wanted to help me out, but I declined the offer. I’m better off just thinking for myself.
And my thoughts are, I should had stayed out and never came back. I only came back to help angry out.

Speaking of him, he’s gone to the Freedom server, saying that a friend of his named Elshar is paying for his prem (why I don’t know), forever. Now, that’s great for him, but that doesn’t help me out, nor does it seem like he wants me to come to Freedom with him. Maybe he’ll be better tomorrow.

And so I stand at the Northeast corner of New Dawn, overlooking the HoTS Lake while typing this. I was confronted by guy named Chazman while I was hanging out in the Cart Parking Lot in ND, earlier. He asked if I knew Machinima. So I PMed him and found out that he’s the main of him. I told him what lead up to why I’m here, homeless and wondering what I’m going to do next. He offered that I could have a place to live at his village, but I declined the offer.

I’m wondering if I should come to the Freedom server as Dragonhead. But that choice will be my own since angry doesn’t seem he wants me to come with him.
But, what about this dog? What about my cart, and all the work I put into attempting at trying to make a boat to sail around Golden Valley? Do I really want to just throw it all away because angry left?

I still have his tools. I can still pull off the boat. All I would need is a forge, and a place to store my cart and my dog until I finally do what I wanted to do. I would also need to go back to what was our village and see if Borderland is on and if he could give me some more meat for the dog he gave me. And perhaps a few casseroles incase my fasting stops.

Then I could possibly find some place along Amnesty Road and build a 1×1 shack, and store my cart in it, and continue increasing my Carp, and then work on my Ship building skill until it’s maxed. Then build my boat and finally do what I want to do. THEN I can go to Freedom.

More digging… / Wurm Drama returns / Upping my Carp

Last night was pretty wild. Angry was gone and I was trying to make four clay jars. He told me they don’t hold as much water as a Water pouch, so I thought of making more than one.
Had one in the slow as molasses forge. The other three needed to be finished with tools that I did not have, nor did I want to make them since it was getting very, very late. And I was getting very, very tired.

I was able to contact him through Steam telling him what I was doing. He mentions to check his cart for the tools I needed (a clay shaper, and a spatula). So I did. After some searching I finally found the tools in one of his backpacks.
Several more failures later of imping most of them to 10.## QL, I had my four clay jars turning into pottery jars. As soon as I finished, angry logged back in and I quickly went to bed.

Next day I found out via Skype he stayed up all night into the morning hours, and finally went to bed. Now he’s gone and we still have this terraforming project to complete. Fortunately I had some help via this guy named Borderland (I saw him before in a screenshot angry sent me), Sharp, and this Spyeddie person. As we were digging, Borderland asked if he could have some of our dirt for a project he’s working on. Since angry wasn’t on and never told us what he wants to do with the dirt, I agreed to his proposal, and he lends us two of his large carts. And I was able to actually ride around in one of them for a short time. So much fun!
Only issue is the fact you gotta use WASD to steer the cart. The guy also gave us some Casseroles.

He also wonders how come I’m not eating anything. I told him what angry said that I could fast forever, but I don’t believe it. He says that I’m right; that you have to eat something eventually. Where angry got this idea from is beyond me.

Past having to go eat in RL, I came back and found Borderland in a (Hurt) status. He didn’t want any healing covers though, and proceeded to go and kill a Young deer. Then went back to his part of the game world. And, pretty much the rest is filled with boring digging, except seeing Borderland standing on top of a cow’s back, riding it around the village. Managed to get a few screenshots of it.
It reminded me back in WoW when I was in Ironforge and saw this NE Druid in Moonkin form standing on a cat mount.

A few hours after closing this blog entry, angry finally logs in. He doesn’t say anything about the fasting thing; only just gets back to work digging away. I told him the best way to lower the top level is to go on and push the forge and this storage bin.
Now I was just going to push them off the top and down on the bottom to keep them. Angry however had other plans. He wanted to push them off the area.
I questioned why and all he says is to show that we can handle ourselves and be able to build our own stuff. I took this the wrong way thinking angry’s doing his “this is my land. You have no say so” thing again.

I tried not to blow my top and concentrate on getting my Carpentry skill up. As I was searching for trees in the abandoned area, two young large rats decided to pop up and say hi. I freaked out and went in reverse, trying to stop dragging my cart so I could run away. I pathetically told Team chat that has me, angry, and Spyeddie (who I found out later was Annay. The person that gave his sweet land away for me to take for my HS next to the ocean) that I had two rats. Angry said I could take them on. Sure, one rat. Not two!

He finally came to my rescue (along with Annay) as I was combating with another rat who I felt like was taking big bites out of my health. I heard there was more rats up the road. I was too injured to help them (and felt like an ass for asking for help), tried to focus back on getting carp up and I found this overaged tree. I don’t like combat in this game.
The reason I was collecting so much lumber is because I asked angry to plan a 1×1 for Storage only. So I could put my tools in it instead of my cart.

After all the rats were dead and I felt it was safe to search around again, I did. As I was busy, back at the village a fellow named Machinima popped up. Angry warned me before about this guy, saying he tried to take the land away from him and told me to ignore him. But he had another plan to deal with this guy.
The guy however seemed he wanted to appoligise for some reason and put some 14 QL planks in the plank pile next to the Storage shed. He also had these small barrels. That’s when a red flag raised up and I asked him, curiously, where he got the items. Said he “found” them in a boat next to Borderland’s place.
I told him that stealing is wrong, and to return the items back to the boat. And so he did.

But still, the heated drama continued for a good two hours even during all of this, and I thought of just throwing in the towel and leaving again. That was until of a surprising event popped up. I found out the same asshole angry was telling us about. Well he’s friends with him. I had him explain everything that happened. He told me that it was actually HIS fault the guy showed up and dropped the house. Due to just rushing in and saying ‘this is mine!’ without asking anyone first.
And this is why he moved the forge off the land instead of just imping it. He doesn’t want to be accused nomatter what of taking something that isn’t his.. even if they aren’t coming back.
And this is also why he never agreed to my idea of moving one of the forges from the abandoned area to the Northwest of us.

After hearing this, I finally calmed down and told him “I wish you told me this before I got pissed off with you” and told him I will do my best to stick with him to get this village setup, and built the storage for him.

The rest is pretty much history, except me reading my old blog posts about what hell I went through to make my first rowboat.

A pretty slow day

Been helping angry with his nonstop terraforming project. His project involves bringing everything down to the same level as his Cart Shack. All that was on my mind was wondering how in the hell I’m going to prepare my char to make a boat.

I still remember the hell I went through before when it came to it, back on Dragonhead when I was just starting out. Failed so many fucking times just to make a single keel section. And if that’s not bad enough you’ll lose a piece if you fail to connect both to make the hull.
I’m going to need to get my Carp skill up to 20 before I attempt to make a boat. And even then most of the trees around here suck. As I mentioned that they’re old and withered. And I know I’m going to need to cut down a fucking forest just for the two keel sections.

I also was getting bored, and wondered if I can just take some time off and go explore this new world. But due to my fear of dying, I had to rule it out. Angry said all I had to do is just leave everything here and go. That way if I die I won’t lose anything, except my skills. It’s not the fact I don’t know how to outrun a hostile, it’s the fact I don’t have a map of the place.
Also the fact the map is smaller, hostiles are more likely to pop up. But angry says all he’s seen is wolves, mountain lions, and… pretty much it. Nothing compared to all the hostiles I had to deal with in JK-H.

To pass all the boring digging parts, angry forgot to repair his shovel again and lost it. To make matters worse, someone stole his last remaining lumps from the forge. Seeing as I’ll be able to finally get away from this dirt nightmare for awhile, I decided to help angry out by getting some iron ore. One of the people that is helping angry with his terraforming project, Sharpnel (we just call him Sharp), mentions about a mine not too far from here.

Me (and angry. He wanted to mine instead of me) searched around for this mine. As I searched, this guy riding on a large cart comes down the road, with two cows pulling it, and a whole bunch of animals following the cart. Was the coolest thing I’ve seen. I never actually saw a large cart in action before.

Anyway, after alot of searching I found it just past the landbridge. It has an 18 QL forge in it. When angry heard that he ran over to me, due to the fact the forge back at the village sucks worse than a vacuum cleaner.

Anyway, time passed and I headed back, in the dark. I decided to ask this new Freedom chat of how can I level up and make a row boat. One said to make Hull planks. Now if I didn’t have angry’s terraforming project looming over me, I would be doing just that.
I know I don’t HAVE to help him, but it’s the friendly thing to do.
Bad thing about it. This project is probably going to take like a month of nonstop work to complete.

Freedom may allow non-prems soon / Another new server?

As I was helping angry terraform and telling him about what may happen in the future “eventually we may forgive Rolf and pay for prem. Or just get our old accounts back”, he mentions that Rolf may allow non-prems into the Freedom server soon.

I freaked out when I heard it, and thought ‘if he does this, it’ll be just like JK-H.’ and thought of bringing Dragonhead back from the grave. This to me will be a formal “I’m sorry for what I did to JK-H. I’m sorry for breaking my promise for no raiding. I will not do it again. Please, forgive me” from Rolf. And give me another chance to maybe find an even better place to live than living where someone else used to. Spending time in Golden Valley will help me relearn all I have learned in the past of this game, to re-prepare me for the Freedom server when I bring Dragonhead back.

He sent me a link to Rolf’s dev blog about what he saw about Rolf saying that. It mentions something about him working on a new tutorial, and then ‘on a rainy day’ open up Freedom for non-prems.
He also mentions something about this “Epic” server. I wondering if he’s making it to replace the Wild server. Angry doesn’t know anything about it, nor does anyone. It could be anything.

If Rolf makes it as a replacement for the Wild server, then I will have no choice but to get Dragonhead off of it. Since I feel he could be wiped from the player database once Wild is removed.

Also, he talks about these “mobile payments” option. Seems that you can get prem via your cell phone now, if you can’t access your computer.

A year has passed.. and I’m back

Ok, this is hard to explain. But a few days ago, angry told me he has come back to Wurm, and I’ve already explained this in my blog.

Now I was planning to put my foot down over due to what Rolf did, though angry believes he has learned his lesson. Do I dare give Rolf another chance?
Actually, I decided to. I can’t stay mad at him forever. Though I’ll never forgive him removing JK-H. But anyway, I came back yesterday to the lands of Golden Valley. I’ve been wanting to check it out. So I decided to come back as “Beanie”. Why that name? That’s what people used to call me when they typo my name. I stuck with it.

From what I’ve seen it’s like they just started like a month ago and haven’t gotten everything setup yet. You got to think of how long it took to make all of them carts, houses, and other shit.

So when I popped in, it was evening. I noticed this new “PA HELP” chat. My first reaction was it was some kind of automated help chat. So I tried asking “Where do I get some tools?” Instead I got a surprising, embarrassing “you make them?” reply. I knew then it wasn’t automated. I also took this time to say hi to angry to surprise him. I didn’t expect him to run down here and help me get to his place though.

After some time of trying to get used to the old movement controls, I went up to the Guide and started doing all the old missions I did when I was a noob back in Newtown on JKH. Oh, Newtown.. I miss you so much.
So anyway, as I was doing the missions, angry mentioned that he would be running down to get me but he’s having to deal with this asshole he was talking about in Skype a day ago that won’t leave the area and claims it’s his. It’s the Darkdot incident all over again I have been thinking.

The next day, after finally finding a suitable place that I can dig, I completed the other missions. Since it was in the afternoon and angry wasn’t on I tried to do a little exploring on my own. I noticed how empty this “PA Town” is compared to what Newtown was like. I also saw these three portals. I’ve heard about portals before. The one of leaving Golden Valley and being transported to Newtown when you feel you were ready.

Fast-forward several hours into the future and I got on when angry was on. He kinda guided me via Skype’s voice messaging service. I was halfway from his area when I encountered my first hostile; a young wolf. Not much of a challenge for a seasoned fighter. Trouble is I wasn’t a fighter. Fortunately I was near a guard tower. Yet they never came to save my ass. Angry told me of this new feature where you have to say “guards!” to get the tower guards to kill the hostile. After two failed attempts with “GUARDS!”, and “Guards!” (had no idea the ‘g’ had to be lowercase), I finally got them to chase down the wolf and kill him.

Angry wanted me to pick the corpse up and take it to him to be skinned, but I couldn’t. So I went on my way and stopped again due to a mountain lion. The first time I EVER have seen one in this game. He didn’t seem to notice me though. I was forced to tell angry to come and save my pathetic hide from being scratched by the lion.
He took ten minutes until he finally reached my local. I heard him reporting three wolves, then the mountain lion I saw. He lured it to the guards and they killed it.

Then we headed to where angry lives. He lives outside of this town called “First Light” that is on Amnesty Road East. His place is a big mess of uneven packed dirt tiles, but is right next to the ocean. Only has one building for the carts. It’s like he just started.

Ok. Before I continue I just want to say quite a few things have happened while I have been gone. New features and objects to make. Some dumb. Some useful.
One useful (and I wish it was made sooner) feature is this Fasting feature. I’ve always hated my Hunger bar, since I’m not a fighter I always was a parasite; living off of another. AKA angry for meals.
Now, when you run out of food, you can fast and recharge your Hunger bar to 90%, once you get to 8% Hunger. You have a new Nutrition meter. Seems to start at 50%. Everytime you fast, you use up 20% of that Nutrition. So I seriously doubt you can fast forever. Eventually you’ll have to make a casserole.

Going back to what happened, he wasted no time in putting me to work, in the form that I should build my own cart. I’m not even thinking about actually staying in this game forever here.
I really miss Dragonhead, and his super stats. But he’s all the way in the Wild server. And I can’t bring him through to Golden Valley since it’s a noob-only world. You’re not supposed to want to stay here forever. I can only bring him to the Freedom server. And that costs 20s.
I don’t really feel like doing all of the grinding I did, all over again.

But anyway, I decided to head away from the area and look for trees, asking him where I could chop. He said to stay away from Very Old and Withered trees. And the majority of these trees ARE Very Old and Withered. But I found a few that weren’t and chopped them into logs. This is about the time angry popped up with a cart behind him, telling me to put the logs in it and get back to the village with them. So I did.

As I headed back, things started to get more difficult with the troll who now says he will move away IF we make supplies for a new house. Angry, knowing that this may be the only way to get rid of this guy, reluctantly agreed to the guy’s demands. And I was brought on for the ride.

So instead of making a cart, I had to help angry make 80 planks. Due to my pure hated of planking thanks to a person I refuse to name, I did my best to just focus on helping angry out. As this is happening, angry had me also gather 21 logs for a pinewood pile. I had no idea what he needed it for, but I went on. Seeing as I didn’t make a cart yet, I had to hand-carry the logs from this abandoned camp to the village. Then I decided to help angry again by stuffing the logs into the pile.

Soon, angry finished the guy’s demands, and we got the pile complete. Yet I still haven’t made my cart yet. I just don’t know if it’s worth having a cart. I mean, I see the only real purpose is to maybe haul logs when angry finally manages to smooth out his land to place houses.
But seriously, what’s the fucking point? You can’t plop deeds down in Golden Valley. The only way to show the place is yours is to fence it up.

I just wonder if angry’s only one goal is to get everyone from Skype into Wurm, and to this village. But then, what do we do after? We build the houses. Everyone moves in. What happens after? More grinding? You can only get your skills up to 20 max. I guess by then maybe I could work on a rowboat and sail around Golden Valley? That might be fun.

Or even we will finally forgive Rolf for what he’s done and pay for prem. But that would be pointless for me since I already HAVE a prem account. Dragonhead.

MC: 1.2.5 out, no Mod API / The Iron Arrow railroad

1.2.5 came out as advertised, but what wasn’t was the Mod API. Jeb has lied to us and isn’t explaining why. Or maybe it was an April Fools joke.
However, this isn’t all bad. I’m getting reports that some mods for 1.2.4, work with the new patch. Unbelievable. Maybe Jeb does have a caring bone in his body by not doing alot of changes to the code.

But as I said, some mods work.. not all. Though I don’t know what does/doesn’t. So far, Mo’ Creatures, Rei’s Minimap, Zeppelin mod, and some others are reported working in 1.2.5.

.
.
I also wanted to do a Map Spotlight. I’ve never did anything like this, but this map deserves to be talked about. Browsing this “1.2.5 Pointless?” thread, is a guy with a clickable sig about this ‘Iron Arrow Railroad‘. And to ‘click to take a ride’.
I did and I was presented with beauty. A monorail, sometimes a double track, going straight for 24km (13 miles).
All of what I saw was built by him and friends of his server, and he kindly had a download of his map for people to check out. Of course I did.

Now with map in hand, I’m blown away by the detail put into the map. It’s clear that they have no need to install Railcraft. Kinda wish they did, then I could really see how they did it with a monorail.
Also, it feels like the people of this server were inspired by the game; Trainz. Either that or Railworks.

The map has a defined Eastern Europe theme, yet the author claims this isn’t what they were going for. But from what I’ve seen, the towers the track goes through, and the guard towers, and the small towns; classic European theme. You don’t see that in the USA.

Anyway, I mentioned about the small towns. These towns are just randomly-placed houses that I swear they used MCEdit to place them. But this… this is something I should do for the W2TS as well, to make the map look like it has meaning (as in it serves invisible people instead of just myself).

Speaking of cities and back to this map, I went through two of them so far. Both are equally detailed, and I love the monument idea for each city. However, the ‘Sundial’ part of the monument seems to be off-center. It shows South actually being East, and then some. Not sure if this is just on my side, or if this is just an old map. The video description did say that the map started construction since the Halloween update. My map, World2, is somewhat older than that. Like 2-3 months older.

Also, this isn’t the only line. There’s several other lines, but they’re all unfinished (yet I think they’re there for more decor). Some are however used for their own purposes, like this one line that heads down all the way to the Bedrock layer. And this freight line called “Golden Arches”.

And that’s pretty much it. In ways, it puts my system to shame. But my system is pretty good too for what it has. And there’s things I got that are better;
1. Uses Railcraft.
2. Named lines.
3. Correctly-named signs (though I know he’ll fix those with time).
4. Signs that tell you the next station.
5. Cart Call/Storage system (see Railcraft).
6. A history of the line.

Yet there’s things he has than mine doesn’t;
1. Random cities.
2. Random small towns.
3. Had the guts to post his line on Youtube.
4. Has the guts to have the line on a server, even though it’s private.
5. …Has friends that follow the theme of the map (unlike angry).
6. Doesn’t seem to have a need for Railcraft.
7. Knows how to deal with idiot animals better than using fences. He knew how to make barriers actually look nice and functional.
8. Lines that serve purposes (the freight line for example).
9. Doesn’t care about how “boring” the landscape is. Knows how to make it look better.

Patch 3.3.3 PTR Patch Notes

Blizzard is still working on the Tier10 sets for all classes and races. But I’ve found the patch notes as of October 22nd for Patch 3.3.3, from Wowhead.

Let me just say, there’s a few perks, but mostly nerfs. 😛 Just click on the link below to learn more.

PTR Patch 3.3.3 Patch Notes

Several key things to point out. They’re doing a few things to the lowbies. When created, no longer will they have food and water, or have the Attack feature bound to their 1 key. They will also get a few more balanced weapons.

They’ve nerfed the Hunter’s Call Stabled Pet. Extended the cooldown to 5 minutes, from 30 minutes. This is something I don’t really care about because I only use one pet for everything.

For Druids, Cat Form’s Prowl will no longer have ranks, and the movement speed has been lowered to 30%. Nice nerf. 😛

A new Quest Tracking System is mentioned. Might rival QuestHelper. We’ll have to see..
And also a rumor of a new LFG system. Maybe it’ll be more friendly for old characters to LFG for any instance, instead of ones based by their level. But what I have seen, a person can say; “I wanna do a random Heroic instance” and be placed in a queue.

How much XP you get for completing a quest will be listed with the Quest Reward.
And reputation gain will be increased by 30% for Wyrmrest Temple, Argent Crusade, Alliance Vanguard, Horde Expedition, Kirin Tor, Knights of the Ebon Blade, and the Sons of Hodir. Should make it easier to get mounts, gear, titles, or whatever you wanted and needed. Unfortunately doesn’t cover The Oracles rep.

Last thing. The dreaded, dismounting debuff all mobs have, will be nerfed. Mostly for Level 1 to 5. For Levels 6 to 10, the dazed debuff will have a reduced chance to hit you, giving you a better chance to get away from mobs when low on health. This unfortunately will have no change beyond Level 10.

.
So there you go. Be in mind that this is still in the PTR stage. New features and nerfs could be added before the time the patch goes Live.
One thing this patch has yet to fix, is the overhealing of a combat pet’s timed auto-heal that heals the master, even though they’re already at 100% health.

Level 80 achieved!! :D / Hallow’s End

I now have my first.. EVER… Horde Level 80! Dinged just outside of pretty much the final quest in Zul’Drak, by just grinding XP.
I don’t know how I did it though. I was killing 76s and 77s, but wasn’t getting the XP I needed. So I tried doing that group quest that Benie soloed… I failed to. 🙁
Somehow though I was actually.. gaining XP, by failing. How?!

I tried this idea by killing these two guys, thinking if I get out of range, I won’t be attacked by those missiles the boss uses. I looked at my XP… and noticed I need one more fucking kill. Killed. DING 80!!! 😀
Now I have my first Horde Level 80, I can turn my focus on four things…

1. Getting my Skinning up to 400.
2. Roll a new Horde char, using the knowledge I have collected from leveling in Outland and Northrend. Maybe a Druid on the Horde side? Lol.. I’ll have a Hunter and Druid on both sides!
3… Hollow’s End (aka Halloween)! Doing the achievements I can do on the Horde side, then I’ll flip to Benie and do them on the Alliance side.
4. Nether Drake for Beefhunter? … HAHAHAHAHA.. no. I can at least give him a swift flying mount. Maybe get him to work on Wyrmrest Temple rep to get a Red Drake.

.
Speaking of Hallow’s End, I finally did what I didn’t do two years ago; killed the Headless Horseman! He’s actually pretty easy for an 80 Elite. I wonder if I can solo him on my own…
Wowhead really helped explaining what the boss does. He’s in SM’s graveyard. And you summon him using a Daily.

As for rolling a new Horde char.. I’m thinking of making my new Druid, a female. Just to see the reaction of people when they try to .. well, you know. I have yet to think of a good name for her.

Almost to 80 / Blizzard forcing everyone to use battle.net accounts

Beefhunter’s road to 80 is nearing the finish line. Now 78, I’m leveling in Zul’Drak. Now have my Venomhide Raptor mount and I love it. 🙂
I haven’t played in awhile though. Took a short hiatus and decided to come back today.

I finally saw what the Wrathgate movie looked like on the Horde side, which is the main reason I made a Horde char. It … isn’t any different! However the quests that follow are.
When it starts, the Horde has lost UC, what’s left of the Forsaken are taking haven in Org, where it’s under lockdown by the order of Thrall so he can talk to his new champion of the Horde … you. They’re all begging you to save them. And a bunch of NPC’s are trying to figure out why Org’s under lockdown, and they’re losing profits over it.
You are working with Thrall and Sylvanis, to reclaim UC. You start outside of it, facing the front entrance. There’s alot more action than what I saw on the Alliance side. And you see Thrall really kicking ass. He also calls for the spirits to help us out.
Not to mention you also kick ass. My raptor pet didn’t last long though.

It ends in the throne room where you’re seeing that demon guy that tells you to go to SM, opening portals to Outland. Soon he won’t be able to sustain them and attacks. When he dies, we start to head to where the Putress is, then the Alliance shows up. Classic Red VS Blue battle. Jiana Proudmoore freezes everyone. Alliance ports back to SW, and Thrall tries to figure out what to do next. Someone shows up and tells him to go back to Org and lead the Horde once again.

You get ported to the Zeppelin platform that goes to Borean Tundra. And that’s basically it. Everything’s back to normal. UC has been reclaimed by the Horde. And you’re left with a neutral feeling. I just had to go and see Thrall after it though to see how he was doing after it.
I can’t help but think about him. To think he actually wishes this senseless fighting of the Alliance would stop and there would be peace. But then again there would be no need to call this World of Warcraft anymore.

One other thing I wanna state. Killforfun has left my “guild”. Don’t know when. But I was the only one in it when I came back today. I’m glad he’s gone. Was nothing but a pain in the ass. Maybe he’s finally going to join a..heh, more active guild.

.
Anyway. There’s a bit of a problem. Apparently we only have 22 days left until our WoW accounts stop working. On November 11th, we’ll be forced to use this new account login service called battle.net, a sister site of Blizzard. Something about it being more secure and shit. It just might be the answer to stop gold sellers too. So that’s good.
They’re even bribing existing account owners to change to the new service, by offering a non-combat Penguin companion for free. Smaller then the ones seen sitting on icebergs in Northrend.

I thought “Ehh.. I guess I’ll do it”, just for the companion. Because it’s cute and it’s free. But I’m having an issue with creating a battle.net account, and accessing my WoW account page. I keep seeing ‘This service is not available.’
As for the issue with battle.net, I don’t understand why I’m having the issue at all. I got everything entered correctly. But it keeps doing this red arrow thing, pointing at the Battle.net Account Name field.
I’m hoping Blizzard will fix these problems soon.
