Last night was pretty wild. Angry was gone and I was trying to make four clay jars. He told me they don’t hold as much water as a Water pouch, so I thought of making more than one.
Had one in the slow as molasses forge. The other three needed to be finished with tools that I did not have, nor did I want to make them since it was getting very, very late. And I was getting very, very tired.
I was able to contact him through Steam telling him what I was doing. He mentions to check his cart for the tools I needed (a clay shaper, and a spatula). So I did. After some searching I finally found the tools in one of his backpacks.
Several more failures later of imping most of them to 10.## QL, I had my four clay jars turning into pottery jars. As soon as I finished, angry logged back in and I quickly went to bed.
Next day I found out via Skype he stayed up all night into the morning hours, and finally went to bed. Now he’s gone and we still have this terraforming project to complete. Fortunately I had some help via this guy named Borderland (I saw him before in a screenshot angry sent me), Sharp, and this Spyeddie person. As we were digging, Borderland asked if he could have some of our dirt for a project he’s working on. Since angry wasn’t on and never told us what he wants to do with the dirt, I agreed to his proposal, and he lends us two of his large carts. And I was able to actually ride around in one of them for a short time. So much fun!
Only issue is the fact you gotta use WASD to steer the cart. The guy also gave us some Casseroles.
He also wonders how come I’m not eating anything. I told him what angry said that I could fast forever, but I don’t believe it. He says that I’m right; that you have to eat something eventually. Where angry got this idea from is beyond me.
Past having to go eat in RL, I came back and found Borderland in a (Hurt) status. He didn’t want any healing covers though, and proceeded to go and kill a Young deer. Then went back to his part of the game world. And, pretty much the rest is filled with boring digging, except seeing Borderland standing on top of a cow’s back, riding it around the village. Managed to get a few screenshots of it.
It reminded me back in WoW when I was in Ironforge and saw this NE Druid in Moonkin form standing on a cat mount.
A few hours after closing this blog entry, angry finally logs in. He doesn’t say anything about the fasting thing; only just gets back to work digging away. I told him the best way to lower the top level is to go on and push the forge and this storage bin.
Now I was just going to push them off the top and down on the bottom to keep them. Angry however had other plans. He wanted to push them off the area.
I questioned why and all he says is to show that we can handle ourselves and be able to build our own stuff. I took this the wrong way thinking angry’s doing his “this is my land. You have no say so” thing again.
I tried not to blow my top and concentrate on getting my Carpentry skill up. As I was searching for trees in the abandoned area, two young large rats decided to pop up and say hi. I freaked out and went in reverse, trying to stop dragging my cart so I could run away. I pathetically told Team chat that has me, angry, and Spyeddie (who I found out later was Annay. The person that gave his sweet land away for me to take for my HS next to the ocean) that I had two rats. Angry said I could take them on. Sure, one rat. Not two!
He finally came to my rescue (along with Annay) as I was combating with another rat who I felt like was taking big bites out of my health. I heard there was more rats up the road. I was too injured to help them (and felt like an ass for asking for help), tried to focus back on getting carp up and I found this overaged tree. I don’t like combat in this game.
The reason I was collecting so much lumber is because I asked angry to plan a 1×1 for Storage only. So I could put my tools in it instead of my cart.
After all the rats were dead and I felt it was safe to search around again, I did. As I was busy, back at the village a fellow named Machinima popped up. Angry warned me before about this guy, saying he tried to take the land away from him and told me to ignore him. But he had another plan to deal with this guy.
The guy however seemed he wanted to appoligise for some reason and put some 14 QL planks in the plank pile next to the Storage shed. He also had these small barrels. That’s when a red flag raised up and I asked him, curiously, where he got the items. Said he “found” them in a boat next to Borderland’s place.
I told him that stealing is wrong, and to return the items back to the boat. And so he did.
But still, the heated drama continued for a good two hours even during all of this, and I thought of just throwing in the towel and leaving again. That was until of a surprising event popped up. I found out the same asshole angry was telling us about. Well he’s friends with him. I had him explain everything that happened. He told me that it was actually HIS fault the guy showed up and dropped the house. Due to just rushing in and saying ‘this is mine!’ without asking anyone first.
And this is why he moved the forge off the land instead of just imping it. He doesn’t want to be accused nomatter what of taking something that isn’t his.. even if they aren’t coming back.
And this is also why he never agreed to my idea of moving one of the forges from the abandoned area to the Northwest of us.
After hearing this, I finally calmed down and told him “I wish you told me this before I got pissed off with you” and told him I will do my best to stick with him to get this village setup, and built the storage for him.
The rest is pretty much history, except me reading my old blog posts about what hell I went through to make my first rowboat.
