Yeah that was weak. I couldn’t really think of anything. Anyway, the happy dystopian city of Wellington Wells, welcomes PS4 owners who have taken their Joy. Because everything’s all rainbows and happiness, right? If you don’t take your Joy, you’re a Downer. And you don’t wanna be a babbling Downer who’s barely living on moldy bread and being in deplorable conditions.
This used to be an XBox Exclusive, but now Sony’s bringing it to the PS4 and I cannot wait.
The set release date (as it stands at the time the official release video came out) is….
April 13th, 2018. This might change due to time constraints.
And of course there are pre-order gifts.. yet these actually don’t suck. Not only does it claim you’ll save 15% off the asking price, but you’ll get the ‘Jolly Brolly’ (an umbrella that can be used as a weapon). Not bad. Not bad at all.
Anyway, I said how “I can’t wait” for this. Well, I also forgotten that this thing has a survival mechanic similar to The Long Dark (from what I’ve seen in playthroughs), having to eat, drink, make sure you’re not too wet and stuff. Just a lot of micro-managemement. I’ll still review the game (once Gamefly sends me a review copy), but that’s all I’m going to do. Though I might also take advantage of this Pre-Order bundle.
Finally, it looks like they’re working on a Collector’s Edition with lots of physical stuff. No known release date has been set for this.
The other thing that bugs me (and I hope they address this), is the feeling of going in circles. Finally unlocking an area after so much effort is put into it, only to go into a similar area.
