So the “help” I said that was showing up in that thread I made? It seems to have fallen short of what I want. There’s been no new ideas (except “you should do this and that”), and even when I responded to them, I never got a response back.
Jaz(yeah, him.. but again, the hatchet is buried), who also imped the Plate armor to 70QL for me(for 3s) has asked why haven’t I just been looking around Indy for a new place to live.
Yet I have.. in ways. Not -fully- looked around (as “this place is boring!” wasn’t on my mind at the time). Western side of the island is a no-go. Don’t really see any places that are flat, next to the ocean, and are at the mainland(that haven’t been taken).
Haven’t really checked the North side fully. I know my side of the server, there’s still that really high flatraised area overlooking the ocean. But it’s a bit too big for my needs. Plus it looks like someone’s already living there (there’s a single sailboat).
So due to no one responding, I decided to go over the ideas given to me the day before (and make it work with the current design of the deed). Sadly, once again, the results have been… not working. And here is what I mean. Note that large empty spot? No idea what to put there(that needs to be there). I do know Tulsi’s house needs to go there, but.. that’s it. Plus I don’t know how it’ll look or where I can put it that would look nice.
There was one time I tried to do a 7 floor tower-like structure that I could use as an ‘Overlook Tower’. Wanted to put it on the NW corner of the deed, but it won’t work as there’s no support.
Seriously, this sucks. The area is literally saying “I expect you to make a town-like area up here” and I have no fucking NEED for it! Yet the thing is, I don’t know what my needs really are. Because if I did, I wouldn’t had even asked for help.
I did however try this idea someone suggested, of having a rope fence around the boat dock area. Now I’m not 100% sure if having that row of Lavender Hedges are allowed on two non-grass tile borders (since I can place it like that in DeedPlanner). But if they are, I find that idea pretty good. I could go with planters and get some flowers, but hearing you must water them or they’ll decay?.. Nah. These don’t require maintenance. Fake flowers are better than real ones anyday. 🙂

So now I’m trying to push myself to do this cross-server exploration thing. Yet my brain is all “is it worth it?” “What if I die?” “What if it’s pointless?” “Those small servers don’t really deserve to be explored to be honest.” “What if I can’t find an updated map?” “What if I get lost?” “What if I’m forced to depend on others while exploring?”
So many “what if”‘s. I had those feelings when it came to exploring the old Wild server (in order to see the ‘capital’ of the server(Kyara), and rumors of a dragon being kept somewhere in the deed). Yet I spent all day standing infront of their walled-up deed, never allowed to come in and look around. How I wanted to explore another server. Believe I still have the old blog post around here somewhere… ah, here it is! Just had to dust off the cobwebs.
But instead of just one server.. I have six to explore now (and they’re all PvE), begging me to come visit them. So why am I getting cold feet? I need to plunge in and hope for the best instead of be scared!
I guess I’m scared because I won’t have my horse to help me explore these strange new lands. Yet by packing lightly. No armor or weapons, just the bare essentials, I should be able to outrun anything chasing me.
It’ll be FINE! At least..I hope. If I can outrun a dragon with studded leather(going downhill though), I can outrun a troll or a hellhound while going uphill. Plus there would be guard towers scatted all over these servers to deal with the annoyances.
Plus, B2 will watch over the deed for me while I’m gone. Tulsi says he’ll try to come on and start grinding Carp. Though I wonder if he should wait ’till either I finally do what I’m going to do with the deed (or move), or just do nothing and deal with what I got. But him grinding his skill is going to take him at least a day or two (depending on how many times he can come on).
Though I bet if he reads this and sees how long it might take, he’ll probably be all “fuck this”. Again though, this is the test.
