This just in: ESO punishes people who don’t think quickly

Well, that would actually be old news. But what I have to say is a bit of new and old. On my Sorcerer, I started thinking what people were saying in the thread I made of trying to get them to force my brain to understand that learning my class is important.
A few of them said to turn my current DragonKnight into a Magicka DK. Or if not, consider becoming a Werewolf. Stating how being a Werewolf has “Hunterlike abilities”. What they meant from ‘Hunterlike’ is how I mentioned the reason I’m playing a Sorcerer.. “because it has pets”. Aka like the Hunter from WoW.

The whole Werewolf thing did interest me. I wondered if it would be anything like being a forced Werewolf from following the Companions’ questline in Skyrim. Discovered only one of the two things are there; having to feed on enemies to extend the time one can remain in Werewolf form.

.
There’s also another thought I had. I felt that if I actually listened to people, I’d get the most out of my DK. Asked in my Guild and was told by a ‘phoggey’ to go to this website.
I looked at it, and thinking “oh wow.. all I have to do is copy this person’s build! This’ll be EASY! :D” Yet the website confused me. The top (if you go to the website), you can see the top of it is a Non-Vet PvP / Leveling build. Yet the skill bars were strange; especially the second bar for having two bow abilities (when the gear info shows no bow).
Told the phoggey person, and they said that this guy (the one that did the build) is an idiot. And I say “well why did you tell me to go here?” They never respond to this sensible question, but mentions the gear I need is in the PvE area.
Basically, the person that made this build got the two things mixed up. The thing is, the PvE area shows gear that’s only for V16. And I’m only a Level 28. So instead of getting this ‘Vet Maelstrom’ gear, get ‘Night Mother’ gear instead. Also, phoggy said to go with the second skill bar as my primary (the one with a bow). Personally, I had my doubts. But I hoped that I would have enough DPS to keep the mobs away from me (or even kill them before they reach me).

With the gear now known, I asked in my crafting guild for the pieces. The first person to respond said that they were nowhere near the crafting area that can create this set. So I was forced to wait a solid hour for more people to join and asked again. Finally I got someone that can make what I needed. Unfortunately, they didn’t have enough mats to fully complete what I needed. There’s also a personal matter, of being asked “I need X of Z”, and forced to say “Unfortunately, I don’t have any Z”. The person even asked me “are u new to ESO?”… that felt a bit harsh. Told them I was semi-new, and had no points in any profession. Yet it seemed everything was OK.

Anyway, I now have everything I need. Since I haven’t played as a DK for a long time, I try to practice on a few mobs. They somewhat stay away from me, having enough DPS to severely wound them to the point they die before they reach me. Yet not all mobs do this, such as casters which can really make me panic when my health drops. Plus, I will usually have people that manage to get in my face and attempt to kill me. These guys, I think they’re kind of worse than casters. Especially mini-bosses.
And it’s mainly due to two things. The first is how your hotbar grays out when moving, and second…. is how I constantly have to look at my keyboard to make sure I’m pressing the right keys. I’ve been so used to mouse-clicking my abilities, it’s not funny.
Having to run away like a pussy because I’m about to die, makes me feel weak and pathetic. I feel I need a melee weapon to really knock the shit out of them. I’ve seen most DKs use Melee weapons anyway. A bow is really only needed to pull ranged targets to me.

So I asked for the 2H Maul (the other thing that was in the gear list). Getting someone to respond at nearly 2 in the morning, I really felt there was no way. But someone did respond. Except, not exactly in my favor — saying the maul I want cannot be crafted, that it’s from the Thieves Guild EP.
Then they mention something about changes and just gobbidy gook that I didn’t give a fuck about. Only thing I cared was “can it be made or not?” And sure enough it was. Yet I feel that by using this, isn’t going to make me a better player. The fact I use my keyboard’s arrow keys instead of WSAD to move, I feel it will always keep me from really achieving my potential (in all MMOs).
I’ve been so used to just standing still and shooting at things instead of moving around and dodging. I am trying this ‘new’ mode of play, but my brain can’t seem to process what buttons to push in a split second. Well, sometimes it does.. but most of the times, it doesn’t. And that’s even more embarrassing when I got another player near me, depending on me to help him complete a quest.

As for the Werewolf form, it is pretty nice. Though I find it also a bit unfair. The fact you can only go in that form when your Ultimate is charged, and the fact I have to literally grind to get it ready (as I must stay in that form in order to level it to unlock the abilities).
What really annoys me, is I have to have a weapon in the second hotbar set to enable it to have all of my WW abilities. Also, I have to have my WW ultimate as my primary Ultimate (as it only charges when you damage mobs, and must be active).

Two last things before I close this post;
1. Somehow my DK is able to use Champion Points, yet is not a Veteran.
2. The feeling that I’m unable to give mats for my guilds’ free gear service, I feel is going to eventually bite me in the ass. They could see me as someone to avoid because I don’t contribute (by throwing things they need in the Guild Bank.. which I have done and will always do).

.
EDIT: Trying out the new maul. It feels like a new way to say “FUCK YOU!!” to all the assholes that are trying to kill me(especially the Uppercut ability). I like it. It’s better than the bow. I feel like I’m more in control of the fight, especially when fighting in 3rd person. I’m playing in this view more, as I can see enemy positions better (and I can see their ‘red’ attacks).
