Day 2 of my new HS. I’ve started my new project last night that I mentioned in the bottom of my previous post. Today, I found angry ingame, but AFK. I went back to work on my project.
During this time, a person popped up infront of my house’s door. His name is “Anosora”. Thinking he was a trespasser or a lost n00b, I said hi and if I could help him. He standed there for 5 minutes, then walked back and forth on the road, looking at my token, more walking, then turned and stared at me.
Finally he speaks, saying “I’m back”. So I thought he was a returning player.. but he seemed lost. Once again I asked if he wanted help. 5 minutes later the guy asks me to make him some nails for a house.
My WTF meter started to rise. Starting to think he was a griever, but I asked where is he planning. He lead me up to Infinity where he was planning a pretty large house(a 4×3) right in the middle of it, where the token used to be.
I thought “Meh.. a neighbor”, then heard him say that angry helped him plan it. At the time I didn’t know how he planned it or asked, but I went with it. I questioned if he meant the angry I know in such a way and he said yes.
The guy asked if he could use my forge. Though I was alittle hesitant, I said yes. Then headed back and gave him access to the mines. Soon, angry came on and freaked at the mess of dirt I made. He then help me do the path. I then tried to plan the house and couldn’t. Couldn’t figure out why, so I had to let angry plan it and he gave me the writ.
Soon it’s time to tackle my 3×3 floorplan. Seeing how I was hitting rock on the upper left corner of my Cart Garage idea, I thought to maybe lower the entire floorplan of the house to 20 dirts above sea level.
Angry still had my cart at this time, and then decided to take the longest AFK he’s ever done(4+ hours), while holding onto my cart. I had to hand-haul the dirt to piles. It was a tiring, frustrating process.
During this, I happened to glance at my compass, and see it was renamed to “I used your acct, Ben.”. Trying to think of why he did, it finally came to me. Why I couldn’t plan a house anymore. Because he used my account to plan that guy’s house(it should’ve came to mind that a non-prem can’t plan no bigger than a 2×3). And now he has my cart.
A few hours passed as the guy complained about how slow my forge is taking to smelt the ore he put in it, and I ran into a design flaw. Once again, the upper left corner of the floorplan, “You hit rock.”. Trying to think of how to smooth this out, I calculated it would be as high as 42 dirts.
I thought the plan was ruined. Looking at other options, I decided to plan on a 2×3 instead.
Some time later after finally finishing the 2×3, angry comes back but goes AFK again. I then look over at the tile I had trouble with and examined the slope there. Seeing it was 17 instead of 23, I pull out my calculator and play with numbers, getting an answer of 37, finding out I miscalculated. It was not 42. This will work and I won’t be stuck with a 2×3.
As this was happening(with angry still AFK with my cart), the guy asks where he can find clay to make a forge of his own. I lead him there and walk back home, not knowing he still has some of my tools(pelt, chisel, and hammer) before he decides to log off and tells me he’ll be on tomorrow.
Fortunately he didn’t take all the lumps angry has in my forge. And I don’t really need those tools to build stuff at that time.
Dirt dropping continued for an hour after that. And as I dig away a mistake I made of adding too much dirt, my Combat tab goes active. I freak out and turn around to see who’s attacking…then see something..something BIG. A Young champion black bear! “Oh…. SHIT!!!!” I said and dumped the dirt I had, running as fast as my legs can go as my guards held the bear off for me to escape. I knew the bear would be killing angry next. But in a way would be a good thing because I’ll get my cart back.
I then slowly walk back to find the bear standing in the wall plan of my Cart Garage, with angry still alive! The bear is also (Bleeding). 5 minutes later, the bear turns toward angry…. but walks right past him and into the woods! Angry saw it but didn’t say anything, then goes over to my house with my cart and goes AFK for a 3rd time.
He then finally speaks about why isn’t something working and logs off, giving me control of my cart again. But I can’t do anything until that bear completely leaves. Soon 1 of my 2 guards respawns but the bear is out of my deed border. I wait for the 2nd guard, thinking maybe if they tank it, I could get in and help kill the fucker. The bear acts like he’s getting closer, then about 5 minutes later, heads south and leaves my visual. And about a half an hour later as I’m working, the 2nd guard respawns.
And soon, with some help from angry in smoothing the ramp to the floorplan, I finally finish it!
I then ask angry to plan the new 3×3 house after removing the 1×2 he planned before so he could. He tries, but fails. Seeing this failure I tell him to remove the plan, but he refuses, plans the house, and then goes AFK.
My temper goes through the roof and I tell him that I’m going to tell a GM that you are grieving and get you banned. 6 minutes later he removes it and tells me he was just fixing something in the microwave, then heads home, logging off shortly after.
It took from then, to the time of writing this to realize angry would never do something like that to me. He was just playing along to see me yell at him. But seriously, I’m getting tired of that shit.
However, it was still wrong of me to threaten him like that. And I am sorry. But I don’t know if he’s going to accept my apology this time.
