‘Oceanside Retreat’ founded / Sharp comes to Freedom

Today’s been busy, but there was a slight change in plans. Before a very good Sven Co-op run I did with angry and several of his friends, he told me to go on and found where I want to live, but on my alt. That way we both can take our time doing what we need to do. And I will have a home away from home.

I spent all day yesterday after trying to survey the area, making portable, unfinished things to put in my boat and ship them to the new area. I also gathered up all of the tools I would need over there.

So we left the dock. I in my speedy sailboat passed my alt and got there miles before he did. Once I did, I grabbed some of the tools from my boat and started pruning/picking the sprout of all the trees on the upper tier. When I was nearly finished, my alt finally showed up in my local and went over to found the area.

He was successful in planting the settlement, but we had new money issues to deal with. It seemed he needed 2s and 42c to set up a 5×5 settlement, yet he got by it, and on ’07:15:07 on the day of Awakening in week 4 of the starfall of Fires in the year of 1008.’, The settlement of Oceanside Retreat has just been founded by Beanietwo. It strangely got founded as a Village. I’m guessing homesteads don’t exist anymore. But actually this is good, since I’ll be able to live with my alt.
But why Oceanside Retreat, and not a dumb dragon-related name? I felt the name was perfect for the surroundings. It’s right on the ocean, and it’s a retreat from the hetric that is Wurm.

My alt then set the permissions to allow me, a non-citizen, access to everything he has. This is indeed a risky move, due to the fact some ass could just walk right in and tear everything down. To counteract this, I have to get my alt to remove all of my permissions before I log off. This will secure the village from any assholes. This is just until my alt has his HFC skill at par with Anayy’s. When that happens, is the day I officially move out of Volcano Forest.

Anyway, I’ve been just planning things all over the place. Got the house planned (but not roofed.. yet), and moved at sunken forge all the way up here, which was easier than I thought it would be.
My alt has been offline while I do all of this planning (he needs wood scraps to light the stove to start cooking again).

During the planning, a familiar person pops into my local. I nearly choke when I see it’s Sharpnel, and tell him that I’m Beanie from GV. He got a good laugh from my name though. I asked him when he came here. He said a week ago and looking for a place to live.
I told him to go to angry’s village and he left. Don’t know what happened to him since.

Anayy showed up about three hours later after I told him I saw Sharp, and he asked me if I needed anything. He gave me 25 meals, 24 tar (for our torches), and some assorted crops to be used for the planned farm on the lower tier.
When he left, I wondered if I was doing the right thing by ‘leaving’. But of course I’m going to feel that. Overtime, I’m going to get accustomed to the new village.

Well, I got to end this blog entry. I got alot of work to do here.

Operation: New Life

Couldn’t think of a better title for this one. I’m currently at Stillwater Bay, trying to map this son of a bitch in Mapper, and failing horribly.
Why? Slopes. Slopes everywhere. Extremely high ones in places, making it difficult to count tiles. So I’m going to fuck Mapper and get a bunch of screenshots for you guys once Sol gets to its peak in the sky.

As for ‘Operation: New Life’, it’s simply that — trying to start a new life in the Freedom server, and more importantly… removing my need to ask others for meals. If you read my blog post earlier about getting my alt to cook for me, I’ve been doing it.
Currently, he can make up to 14QL in Stews. Yet his HFC (Hot Food Cooking) level isn’t anything to celebrate about. It’s between 4-5 right now. That is of course higher than mine (I’m no cook).

While my alt is cooking back at Volcano Forest, I went over to where Stillwater Bay was to map it on mapper (as I stated up there), and then plan a house. We will slowly.. very slowly move over to it (what I’m basically doing is a land claim, so no one else will take it. No one else cares for it, so I want it). Then once I feel my alt is ready (is capable of making the same QL meals as Anayy), we will move out of Volcano Forest and go there, and I’ll slap a deed down to claim it as mine.
This will ultimately end my need to be a ‘parasite’ and beg for meals. And with food taken care of, I can focus on living on my own again.

I’ve already told angry about this, and I knew what his response would be. “I knew this would happen” and “I knew it would happen when we got to the island”. Due to this, he’s declined my opinion with what happens with the village, saying “You’re just going to move out. Why do you care?”
He’s making this harder on me than him. Seriously, the past two times had to do with him, and his ideas stomping all over mine.
This time… this time it’s not about him. It’s about.. well… him not letting me branch out. So.. I guess it is kinda him, but not from rage like the past two times.

I’m not going to just leave. This time I’m leaving prepared, via my alt. The one thing that always kept me from enjoying peace, quiet, and solitude, is food. I’ll finally be free, if all goes as planned.

So anyway, you’ve reached the end of this post. So here’s those pictures I said I would take. I’ll do my best to explain them, and what I’m planning to do.

The upper tier I believe was the village. I’m planning to put stone walls all around. Tear down that poorly-placed wooden fence, and put a house there.
The secondary path to the post-village will stay, but I need to smooth it out with a shovel. The primary will have wooden fences all along the path around the only mine I’ve found.
In the mine, I’ve discovered that it extends passed a collapsed mine wall, with a Lava Spider inside. No way in hell am I going to mine there. Too dangerous. Unless I can lead the spider out, safely. May need help killing him.
The lower tier fence area, I believe I will turn into a field once I knock all the trees down. No animals will be put into it, since they eat crops and I don’t want that. I will do all the farming, while my alt cooks them into a meal.
As for meat, we have fishing poles. You can use fish in meals.

For the road that leads to the post-settlement ‘Kinsaitos’, I will keep it. Someone may decide to reclaim it. And it also links to Reborn, and other settlements. So it would be wrong of me to remove it. Not in the way anyway.

What happened after the trip / Thinking of living on my own again

Getting back home from my trip, and realized “Ok. Now I have nothing to do again!” Usually if I was living on my own, I would find something to do. Like walking to NewTown or something.

In the animal pen, I finally got the bull to pretend he’s a pedophile and fuck the young cow, and was successful. Amazing what Wurm teaches us. That it’s OK for a Mature bull to fuck a Young cow.
Tried to get the only male horse in the pen to fuck another female, and again he wasn’t in the mood. So I tried to give him a fish, and realized horses don’t eat meat. So I tried to get him some oats. And that’s when Anayy logged in.

He’s been working on a.. get this.. a fucking Knarr! The same boat the ‘dragons’ were trying to build to get to the wild server, years ago. But he seemed like he was going to do it all by himself.
IMO, if he pulls it off, he’ll be in my history book of the first person ever to solo build a Knarr.

Anyway, angry never logged in today. I found out that he went to bed early for some reason, but it’s unknown if he’ll be back on tomorrow afternoon.

Time passed and I helped Spoedi by digging 50 clay for a house (I saw angry just left the large cart I made by the pier he’s making for our village, outside of Catville. So anyone could take it).
I need to mention that angry presumes Catville will agree to him making a pier for our village, since we’re allied with them. He hasn’t even asked them.

.
.
After helping Spoedi and starting to help angry’s idea of making a flat tree farm, and wondering if Anayy would get his Hot Cooking skill up to make better quality, more filling meals.. a thought came to me.
What if I got my alt, Beanietwo, to cook? If he cooked, he could actually take care of my Hunger bar when I eventually stop fasting again.
This got my brain clicking that if me and my alt worked together, I could finally be able to live on my own again without needing angry’s help.

But, why would I do that when I already have a place to live in Volcano Forest. And how could I do that to angry? Sure, the meals do need an improvement, but I got everything I need right here. Including a marked mine (which I only use as a water source).
Still, I got my courage up and finally asked the Wurm Forums to get in contact with someone that knows or was a part of Stillwater Bay.

I think the reason why I want to leave, probably has to do with angry and Elshar making crappy piers, and won’t listen to me on how they could be better.

To be honest, if I could just find that mine by Stillwater Bay, I won’t even have to slap a deed down. Once my alt can make good-enough meals, I could just plan my homestead up there, without even needing a deed. Only issue is hostiles. What if a bear decides to come over and ruin my day?
A second issue is, when I’m ready to slap a deed down, will it even allow me to without having to tear down my house?

Well, before I do anything I need to get my alt back down there and see if anything has changed. Just have to get his prem time extended first.

Trip around the Freedom server, DAY 2

DAY 2 wasn’t as exciting as DAY 1, but I still had fun. When I logged in, it was night, but slowly nearing dawn.
I took this time to walk around Midgard and see what it has.
Apart from all the penned trolls, it was a standard village. It even has a guest room, where 3/4 of the floor is covered in grass. Talk about bringing the outside in.

Finally dawn approached and I hopped in my boat. Though I swear the trolls were saying (if they weren’t penned) “GET HIM!!!”
Just south of that (and fighting a southeast gale), is a homestead called.. Newtown. As much as I hoped it would be the remnants of the starting point in JK-H, it wasn’t. Infact, it looked under construction. And I could enter their houses. But since it was deeded I couldn’t ‘take a souvenir’.

I eventually left and went back into the open sea, going along the southern coast of the server. Went around Tranquility Bay, which was nothing that had to do with tranquil. Bearsharks. Bearsharks EVERYWHERE! :O
There was at least 4-5 Bearsharks waiting for me to pass, but I managed to get by them all and left the bay quicker than expected.

I then made the turn north towards Vorgon (and the middle of the server). Stopped and decided to see if the place looked any different since we left. It hasn’t, except his Cart Shack has a few more completed walls. Walked over to that overlook and opened my map, seeing where else to go before going back home to Volcano Forest (debated if I should risk going to Elysian Heights to see this Red Dragon marked on the map, but decided against it). Saw my best bet was to just go through the first canal. So I did by leaving Vorgon and got through the canal unscathed. No Bearsharks this time.

Tried to hug the left coast to get to ‘Here be Dragons’, but never found it. I presume it was disbanded. I did however find ‘The Valley of the Bears of Wurm’ though. But under a new name. ‘The Valley’. The village was actually quite nice. Every house is on its own tier. I just wish it wasn’t sunset at the time, then I could had gotten better pictures.

I then proceeded through the Cave Canal, and stopped at the Freedom Docks. Wanted to head up to the Freedom Market and do some shopping, but I parked in the wrong location and thought I was lost, again. Because I didn’t remember it looking like this when I first saw it.
But I found it, and someone else. I wanted to protest that they should add signs, but I found out I had parked in the wrong area. The main road that goes to and from the market is on the other side of the Cave Canal.
Arrived at the market, and noticed how the outer ring of merchant stalls were mostly empty. Only a handfull had traders. And one had a 74 WoA saw for 1s. I had to get it!
In the inner ring of merchant stalls, I got a toolbelt for 40c, and a water pouch for 12c. If only they had a high-WoA hatchet…

Headed back to the boat and put the items in it, I left the dock and headed for Bay View, hoping I could find said hatchet. Got alittle lost trying to find the Darkenstone Canal, but found it. Finally got to Bay View, and they had a WoA hatchet, but not high enough, and the price was unreasonable (1.49s), so I didn’t get it.

Then decided it was time to head back home, but went around the island south of ours. It was pretty cool. Even a little inlet that had a small, unnamed homestead. Then I parked next to my rowboat, grabbed a cart and carted my stuff to my house.

And that wraps up DAY 2. But now I wonder if I should go back down to the Freedom Market and see if I could find a high-WoA shovel. Kinda wasn’t thinking about it at the time.

Trip around the Freedom server, DAY 1

Today has been a busy day. Half of the trip had to be postponed due to getting that new terabyte hard drive installed in my system.

But the trip started as I said. I left, but as the sun was setting. By the time I got to the vicinity of the Colossus Canal, it was pitch dark. Good thing for ‘night vision’ (aka Gamma control).
Got lost alittle bit, but got help finding the canal, and explored. First thing that surprised me when I got out of the other side of the canal was a champ scorp, who was pinned.

Nothing else was interesting. Even having to drag my boat over the landbridge marked on the map. Except when I arrived at the island in the middle of Colossus Lake, called ‘The Republic of Shine’. There’s a ramp. At the end is a palisade door. Locked of course.
Along the ramp are several piles of lockpics. It made me wonder if they were testing the security of the doors, or grinding.
If it was allowed, and if I was evil, I would had taken a pile, and picked their lock and stole everything. Since I’m not evil, I left them alone.

I also made it to the IKEA Market. It was inland, so I didn’t see it. Checked it out and noticed they had Scythes for 10c each. Bought one and headed back to my boat.

After that, I headed back to sea, and then headed to Cliff Side. After having to stop for directions, I made it. Went up this switchback path. Along the path was a meal. A meal with no damage. Like it was recently cooked. And good quality. Of course I took it with me. Free meal!

I finally got to the end of the path, which lead to the main road in and out of Samling. Following my compass, I followed it left and wound up at my destination, the Roadside Historical Site. I didn’t see anything ‘historical’ about it, though. But I found another scythe laying on a road outside of the settlement border. It was unfinished, but I took it with me, thinking angry might want it, then headed back to my boat.

My next stop was to find the ‘dragons’. But was delayed due to what I said in the beginning of this entry. When I got back, I continued down the river. As I went down fog started developing, but never became a problem thankfully.
Finally making it to the merchant row outside of Reborn, I did my best to follow the map and wound up in the settlement of Reborn. Again, got lost alittle bit and did my best to find the right road.
I passed by a small lake, and saw two roads going left and right. Using my compass and the map pointed me to the right way, and went up this long path with lots of Oak and Maple trees. As I was going up, I happen to move my mouse over the upper left part of my screen, and saw “Spike, MD’s and Drago’s tea cup palace”. I FOUND IT!!! At long last, I finally found it! Proof they live here! 😀
Alas, I never got the chance to shake their hands and see how they’re doing (they never logged on), but took pictures of this settlement they’re living in.
Another noticeable feature is the large peat field infront of their village. Walked around and found some that were already dug up. Excellent quality. So I grabbed ten to remember this moment.
Unfortunately they weigh 10 kg each, making me carry 100 kg. Fortunately I never ran into a hostile, and easily got back to my boat and dropped the heavy peat in.

I then left the river and went towards the two islands on the northwest corner of the server. One was boring, and the other had an awesome pier. Then I followed the west coast, south to the other islands, and to Dracos Tor. Though before I knew it, I had already passed that settlement, and didn’t feel like turning around.
It’s possible it was up that path I saw, with a troll ‘guarding’ the bottom. And I rather keep myself medium damage-free.

The two southwesterly islands, were pretty boring. Except the one that has a settlement named ‘Waffles, Pancakes, And French Toast’. Lining the island was a bunch of ‘Lava World storage shed ##’ houses, with alot of missing walls.

After that, I headed into Kinoss Bay, following the left coast first. I passed by PE, and stopped at the next destination; Solace. Why? According to the map, there’s a Troll King here. A live one.
I was able to talk to a villager by the name of ‘Zivirit’. He showed me where this Troll King is. Inside this huge pen. Then I finally saw it…. “I expected him to be, kinda bigger.” I told Zivirit. He agreed and said that’s what everyone says. I expected a Troll King to be.. giant-sized. Bigger than a champ troll. And it was the size of a normal troll.
Still, you shouldn’t underestimate it. It can kill you with one blow of its club. Even a person with the best known armor would die.

Behind me was the ‘gift shop’, and jokingly said if I could find a Troll King souvenir here to take home.
In it had a bunch of named items, mostly belonging to a person named ‘Ryuu’. I’m guessing this person is the owner of Solace. Heard of the name before.

After that, I headed further north until I arrived at a settlement that has an all-too familiar name in my Wurm life; ‘Akhenatan’. The home of Flinter. Never got to meet him, and his place is now more inland than it was before.
Parked my boat at this nice pier, which pretty much was my idea I wanted Elshar to do infront of his settlement, then walked up this three tile-wide path right into the village.
IMO, it sucks compared to the one in JK-H, but it had merchants. During my trip, I’ve had contact with angry who’s struggling to find a good place to meditate.
In one merchant, they had a exquisite meditation rug for 1.5s, and 70QL. He jumped when I told him and asked if it was enchanted. Sadly, it wasn’t. But I told him I would buy it for him. He liked that idea.

After then I continued following the coast, now heading south. Stopped at Flinter’s Farm, a homestead (that’s owned by this ‘Ahkto’ person. Maybe one of Flinter’s alts?)
I then wrapped up DAY 1 of my trip by parking infront of ‘Midgard’, and logged off to focus my attention on this. I was afraid I would get ahead of myself.

So, this concludes DAY 1. Stay tuned for tomorrow for DAY 2. I should be heading back home by then.

Freedom server map updated, new hope to meet the ‘dragons’, trip around server tomorrow

This news is big!… BIG! Just how big? The map now has roads!
Including a road that goes to where the ‘dragons’ live. It also shows settlements not marked on the original map, including Vorgon.
It also marks the ‘hidden’ canal I was getting lost at. And also marks most of the lakes.

I am so going to go exploring now. With this updated map, I can’t get lost.

I will depart the first thing as soon as I get up. I’ll then first head to Colossus Lake. There’s a marked boat-accessible cave for it. And a market on the west side of the lake I’d like to check out.
After that, I will follow the northern edge of the server to Cliff Side. Behind it is the Roadside Historical Site. Roadside and I, have a history. The history of having to ask them for meals. 😛

And then, to finally do what I wanted to do eversince I found out where the ‘dragons’ live. Head down that canal and get to the settlement of Reborn, then walk down the marked road right to where they live. Only thing that would possibly stop me is hostiles, and/or a gate surrounding the settlement. But if I pack light as possible, I can outrun any hostile that engages me. As for the gate, there’s nothing I can do about it.

After that, I’ll head out and swing around the West Coast. Knowing ‘New BroVegas’ is dead, there’s no reason to go there. Then I’ll continue south ’till I reach the settlement of Dracos Tor.

The rest is another blog entry. This will likely take 2, maybe 3 days to complete. But I’ll be sure to get lots of pictures and put them on this site.

It sucks to be me…

This is the first blog post I’ve made in WordPress version 3.0.1. I can’t believe how easy it was to update.

Anyway, these past days have been pretty slow in Volcano Forest. Anayy has been working on a guard tower next to the volcano. And I… I have been pretty much doing anything I can that involves wood, including helping make and attach the 100 planks needed for the tower.

One other thing. I made a large cart! 😀 I called it ‘Dragon Express’, but gave control of it to angry so he could make it the village cart.

There’s something I don’t like about Anayy, though. His desire to make farming an art instead of an enjoyment. I’ve always seen farming (and fishing) as ways of relaxing my nerves after a day of living with these two slap-happy guys.
This thing started with me walking around the village looking for something to do, when I spot one of Anayy’s fields that are harvestable. I tend to it and manage to get three cotton out of it. Then I go and replant one of them where they should be planted. Angry sees me and is all “NO! Wait!” and says “Leave those for Anayy”.
I say “I was just going to move them over here” and he says “He likes these fields in some order”.
My brain is all “WTF?! I see no fucking order there! He’s randomly planting them!”, then “Ok. Fuck it. If he wants to do it, then… whatever.” and try to find a place to put them, eventually putting them in Anayy’s house.
Seriously, Anayy. The animal pen is NOT the farm. Stop re-planting them in the pen! I don’t give a shit if your ‘order’ involves randomly placing fields. That’s not the way it’s done here!
Yet angry doesn’t seem to care, or maybe not want to get involved.

Alright so, the next thing is when I come back from eating my dinner and angry is not in my local, but is in the game. I ask him where he ran off to, and he’s talking something about that Ctrl died and can’t find his corpse, making no sense. I head down to the pier and notice angry’s sailboat is gone.
He’s still talking gibberish about his alt. I do my best to get him to explain what happened, then he mentions that he was doing something while autowalking on his alt, and he ran into a few hostiles and died.

Next thing I know he’s trying to get revenge for the death and getting his ass kicked by the same lion that killed his alt and can’t believe it’s happening. I can’t do shit because I have no weapons, so I stay back at the village. The hostile is a fierce mountain lion.
Eventually angry comes by and lets he barrow one of his swords, hopped on a horse and went with him on a hunting trip to get revenge. Got to where his alt walked for miles and died, and we killed the mountain lion and a rat. His alt got his corpse and we headed back to the village.

And the 3rd, final thing is when angry told me to get my pickaxe. I had to say “Oh god…” as my response, knowing the work will be long.
I got on the large cart with angry and we headed to CatVille, the settlement just north of us. We pass it and enter this long cave tunnel, and when we come out on the other side, I’m facing the ocean and the other island.
We go over to this one spot. I’m trying to figure out what angry has planned for me as he walks around the rock mountain we just went through, as if he’s looking for something. Then tells me to start tunneling at this random, nearly flat rock face. So I do, over and over questioning him what are we doing here when this isn’t part of our village.
So we finally make the tunnel to the mine, and angry is unimpressed at the result, then starts asking if my alt brought a pickaxe with him. I had to say no. Then asks me what he has, so I log onto him and check. 10 seconds later it closes out with no warning. And I found out angry once again tried to login to my account.
Instead of apologizing, he searches around on his alt trying to find my alt a pickaxe. But with no luck. I tell him that I could run over to Bay View and buy myself an enchanted pickaxe and give him my old one, but angry says no saying it’ll take too long and this needs to be done now.
I can still get my enchanted pickaxe, but not right now.
Halfway in the new mine, angry finally mentions about a vein he’s trying to find. And we finally find it; a gold vein. Woop-de-fucking-do. Gold is as useless as it is in Minecraft. To me anyway.
So he has me mining it trying to find another 30’ish QL ore, and all I’m getting is 1.00’s. Soon he gets fed up with the bad luck and we head back to the village.

And then I’m given the task to make two wooden mine doors, which I just got done finishing at the time of this post. And that is pretty much it. I’m not sure what I’m going to do tomorrow.

Discussion of the new place I found

Want to say first that Elshar has left. Went to the ‘mainland’ (the big island in the middle of the server), but his alt stayed back. And also Volcano Forest (the name of our settlement) is really turning out to be a nice village. We’re already working on the farm and the animal pen.

Alright, so… a few days ago, I reported that I found this nice place and thought of plopping down a settlement.
Well, I’ve decided not to. What made me have second thoughts? Alot of reasons. Mainly due to said place.

I sent my alt up there in my rowboat to watch the place after me and angry.. got into another argument. When he got there, there were two new boats that I didn’t see before, docked next to the area I had my eye on.
I thought that there’s a possibility the owners of these two boats, may be two of the former villagers of Saltwater Bay, and might be trying to refound it as a new name or something. Yet for those two days as I used my alt to watch the area, no one popped into my local, and nothing was moved, removed, or added. To say the place is truly ‘dead’, I can’t. If it was ‘dead’, there would be no boats or anything. Or maybe they’re doing the same thing I was; watching the area.

Nevertheless, I’ve decided to pull my alt out and sended him back to the island. Due to feeling that I’m going to stay with angry and Anayy, and put up with them.

Another reason why I pulled him out was because that he found no mine. Yet there was a forge, and an oven. Following the only path lead me to a dead fountain, and another past-settlement named ‘Kinsaitos’. It is surrounded in tall stone walls, and looks like the villagers just packed up and left as soon as the village was created. Because everything was still brand new. No damage.
Yet, I still could find no mine. And without weapons (and FS), I refused to explore any further, thinking I would run into a scorp….or worse.

Another reason is a friend of mine said to go on and place the settlement there. For one thing it needs to be a better, less-childish name than “something dragon-related here”. And also, my alt would not be able to survive. He doesn’t have tools. And without a known mine, it’s just best to leave it alone.
In a way it kinda pisses me off the fact it looks soooo nice from up there, yet I can’t believe I can’t find a fucking mine. It’s possible that they must had made a mine somewhere along the shoreline, and have been boating it to the settlement.

If I could only meet someone that used to live at Saltwater Bay. Then maybe this might work out. But the only real way to ask is to go to the forums. And I still have that.. goofy-looking dragon avatar.

In search of the elusive MetalDragon / A nice place found

Since angry’s in bed, I took half my Wurm day away from that shitty island to locate the ‘dragons’. See how to get to their place, and maybe even talk for awhile.

This Northwest gale has been against me, yet I continued to remain optimistic that I will find them. I started by heading South past Samling, then heading Southwest through this valley.
Upon reaching the end of it, I notice two Caravels next to eachother. Yet no sign of a canal. Feeling slightly bummed but keeping my optimism (not to mention thinking they may’ve pulled a Wild Server on me by hiding the entrance to the canal), I turned around, went back up the valley, and headed for the mountain standing in my way, hoping to see a Cave Canal somewhere along the shoreline.

Alas, when I finally got to the bay, it wasn’t the same as it shows on the map. Not to mention the ‘Bro’ towns are gone. And the mountain only has three mines that I can see, with none at the water level.
I feel depressed and bummed out. So much hope I had to see the ‘dragons’ again, now crushed.

But, maybe it’s better this way. Never to see them again. But if it wasn’t for my fear of hostiles, I would had scaled that mountain and still made it.

As I was coming back, following the coast, I noticed a high, flat place with no houses on it. All I saw was some carts, a rowboat, and a half-sunken forge sitting in the water. Mostly belonging to a person named ‘Ghosted’. I’ve seen this guy’s name before in JK-H. Going by the map, this is where a settlement named ‘Stillwater Bay’ was. Near the Northwest corner of the map.

I decided to dock the boat and head up this cobblestone path to the place. I noticed how overgrown the area was. Most of the fences have decayed.
It kinda makes me wonder if I should plop a Homestead up here. It’s almost like it’s calling my name.
Yet, I’m forgetting about angry’s village. I have to stay there, and not think about going anywhere else.

I will keep this place on the back of my mind, though. It reminds me so much of Benie’s Homestead and Dragon Haven. Two places combined into one. And a beautiful sunrise over the island to the Northwest of this place.

Finally.. our own place to live (that’s near Elshar’s deed…)

Angry has finally marked a place for us to live today. Right next to a volcano, and in the middle of a hostile-infested forest. How lovely.
I as usual gave him both barrels of my drama surprise, by saying I didn’t like the fact we would be so close to the volcano, and how we’ll be in hostileland. All he says is he’ll build guard towers. It’s going to take a good week or two just to build ONE tower.

Soon he realizes asking for my opinion of his plans is futile, since my opinion is always negative, and had to get Anayy’s opinion. I knew Anayy would agree, and he did. Eversince we got to this place, I’ve been Mr Negative. And “Mr Happy Pants” (Elshar, what I call him) is trying to make me feel at home by overusing ‘: D’.
I feel like I’ve been dragged here to see angry’s random Wurm realities, and being forced to stay here. With two boats named “LOL BOAT” and “LOL COG”…. ugh. Mother of mercy, get me outa here.
In reality, though. Elshar is just angry’s random-minded friend. Mainly due to the fact he helps host servers on beniesbuilds.com — not the fact he got him prem. And instead of me picking on him, I should be all “Any friend of angry is a friend of mine”.

Elshar isn’t what bugs me. Nor does his “LOLOL RANDOM!!!”-named boats. It’s were he’s chosen to live.
I still remember when my alt reached the ‘pier’ yesterday. I was all like “.. this is the place? What a dump. Oh god please tell me we’re not STAYING here!”
It almost makes me feel like I’m playing The Sims Busting Out for the Nintendo Gamecube, of when you move to a place and they expect you to improve their place. Except with this, you have to ask if they want the improvements. A good example is a better, real pier that doesn’t look like barf. And like always, I’m the only one that’s complaining about it.
I would do it myself if I had a dredge, and if this place was my own. I wouldn’t even need to flatraise.

I can’t really explain one good thing that has happened since we got here. Except maybe being able to finally ride on a horse. Bad thing about it, they suck.
1. Turning is awful. I feel like I have to go a mile just to turn around due to the very slow turning speed.
2. Horses cannot go up/down any slope that’s 20+.

Angry thinks I’ll just pull my thing of leaving and going to my own place once the village is completed. This time I can’t. Hell, I don’t even feel like looking for a place. I don’t want the “You hit rock.” thing to happen again for one thing. Plus I got tired hopping through homesteads and land hunting due to being unhappy with just one place. Let’s just say I’ve learned alot from my endeavors (and failures) of attempting to live on my own in JK-H, and really don’t want them to happen again.

This new map should give me a chance of scoring a seaside homestead. Yet I don’t feel like risking it. There’s more hostiles than in JK-H, and more people living by a shoreline. Hell, this map is designed for seaside living. Access to a boat.

So that’s why I’m going to grit my teeth and deal with living in a village. I’m a refugee now. A refugee that sometimes feels like he should not have been brought back from ‘the dead’.
