A debate of when (or if) to wait for full body

Hello again! ✋ Bit of an interesting topic that I have, which I’m hoping you folks could possibly help me with.
As some of you know, I now have the Valve Index. Recently I had to set my play area to Standing only as I was getting tired of A: the direction the play area was facing (always facing away instead of toward my computer).
And B: adjusting my base stations was fucking up my headset’s central pivot point (it tilting to the left or the right instead of straight on).
That and I was losing tracking with my right controller. Turns out my TV’s rotation was fucking up the beam to base station B. I have to have it angled along the wall for the beam to not be blocked. And thankfully the mirror I have near this base station doesn’t seem to be causing issues (as I heard mirrors fuck up the beam).

With these issues hopefully no longer a concern, I’m still planning to get full body on my birth month. But hearing about ‘tracking 2.0’, ‘tracking 3.0’ etc etc has me concerned with the global electronic shortage going on that’s not just affecting gamers but the suppliers themselves.
Scared I’m going to “get screwed” if I don’t act now (even though I can’t really afford it the month since getting the Index. Gotta be an adult and cover bills/food first). Yet noone’s really told me if there would be a concern of this. Everyone I talked to is all “awesome! Awesome! Bet you’re hyped!” instead of “uhh.. if you’re going to get them, you better get them soon.”

So I ask you folks: do any of you know if there’s signals of concern about getting full body between now and August? Please let me know in the usual channels. Because a lot can happen in three months.
I’m really not sure which full body tracking kit I should get, but I (of course) want one that works well with the Index (and all other SteamVR-based VR headsets).
