Here’s what I know so far;
–The minimal UI is really annoying me. I get it’s supposed to feel like the Single Player equivalent of using your keys instead of your mouse to use abilities. But I cannot tell how much bag space I have, what buffs and debuffs are active, if I’m standing in AoE.. anything like that.
–Been getting into addons. Found several useful ones. Such as first person while on a mount, a Minimap, a timer to tell me when I can sell my stolen crap(as you can only sell 50 items every 24 RL hours), and stuff like this.
–If you listen real carefully to some of the songs (like in capital cities) you might hear Skyrim’s main theme song. So cool.
–I have to say… shame on the devs. “Solo” Dungeons are a fucking joke. I still see people inside them, so where’s the ‘solo’ part in these Solo Dungeons? There’s very minimal enemies. Some of these ‘dungeons’, there’s no quest to do. So it’s just endless killing.
–I seem to be able to infinitely sprint while on a horse. Seems to not matter when its Stamina bar is empty. Feels like an exploit, but I’ll take advantage of it.
–Doesn’t feel like enough slots for all these abilities. And here I felt Wildstar was bad(how you have to swap abilities). However at Level 15, it will allow you to swap between two sets of abilities and weapons (like in Guild Wars 2).
–It’s important to acquire lots of Soul Gems. There’s an ability that anyone can use to fill an empty Soul Gem. To get them is similar to Skyrim (buy them from merchants(mainly ones in the Mages Guild) or loot them). The size of a Soul Gem is level based (unlike in Skyrim). In other words, you can’t fill a Grand Soul Gem until Level 50.
–Can’t seem to find the Thieves Guild for some reason(one of my favorite NPC Guilds in Skyrim). Maybe they never got established in this day and age? I’m actually tempted to join the Fighters Guild.
–Enemy blips don’t pop up on the compass (unless they’re attacking another player or you), unlike Skyrim where they do.
–Level cap seems to be Level 50, same as Skyrim (and Wildstar).
–Cyrodiil, the heart of Tamriel, is where the “Alliance War” is. It’s a giant PvP zone, apparently.
–Wayshrines are ESO’s mode of Fast Travel. You can teleport to any existing one for a specific amount of gold, or travel there and Fast Travel to any discovered one for free. Your choice.
–Skyrim as a whole seems inaccessible when viewing a Wayshrine of where you can Fast Travel to. Yet you can go to The Rift which is a part of Skyrim and visit Riftin(my most disliked city in Skyrim). You can also visit the town at the summit of The Throat of The World(where Paarthanux and Odaviing hang out). If they’re actually there, I have no idea. I really pray they are.. even more so of being attacked by a dragon while in The Rift. That would be so epic. Hearing that badass dragon battle music…. oh god. 😀
–Nords look better in Skyrim than in this game. Just saying. However, they still have the same desire for good mead from Riftin.
–Looking for better gear is a pain in the ass. It’s a freakin’ mess when looking through the list. There’s no sorting options at all.
That’s pretty much it. The game’s still pretty good. Liking it so far.
