Bioware lived up to their promise, but the near to very last part of the Destroy ending still doesn’t make sense, and answer if Shepard survives or not, which makes some still believe in the Indoctrination Theory.
I’m starting to doubt it now, as someone said that Bioware has confirmed if the player picks the Destroy ending, his crew in the Normandy go off to find him. You can see the hesitation of putting the plaque up.

Also, someone told me that the game does not end here. That if you continue your game, Shepard is back infront of the Galaxy Map. Which has reason to believe that he did survive in the Destroy ending. That they found him, patched him up, and now everything’s good again. But what he didn’t say is if the Reapers are gone or not.

You can watch this video that I watched. It shows the Destroy ending, but the links allow you to view the others.

And shock to behold, they lied when they said they weren’t going to add anymore endings. They added a Refusal ending that’s triggered when Shepard shoots the ghost boy instead of picking one of the three original endings. The sub-ending of this while still on the Citadel, opens up new dialog between the Starchild and Shepard. Here, he(or she if FemShep) can ask the child who created the Reapers and why. And who created him. Some believe this could be an indication that a new Mass Effect could be sometime in the distant future; to defeat these “true Reapers”. And it so reminds me of Cataclysm of the “old gods”.

For all endings except the new Refusal one, Hackett tells all ships to leave the Crucible and get the hell out of there. Garrus tells Joker it’s time to go. The only difference is the Join ending shows more ships jumping out of the system.
Also, the Normandy does NOT get badly damaged and crash land on the jungle planet, nor do the Relays get destroyed. The ship manages to leave the planet after repairs are made.

Here’s the new changes they made to the endings;
Destroy ending (Red): Reapers fall and die, Citadel gets greatly damaged but not destroyed, same for the Relays, Reapers seen dying on Asari and Krogan homeworlds, EDI doesn’t show up when Joker does when they emerge (cause she’s dead), Hackett spends a few minutes explaining “we won” and stuff while the fleet is passing by damaged relay, Citadel is repaired by organics, Shepard’s plaque isn’t placed on the wall, camera moves over and shows N7 tag and what looks like Shepard taking a breath (still unknown if he survived or not).

Control ending (Blue): Shepard disappears, Reapers leave Earth, and the Asari and Krogan homeworlds, Shepard shows up and explains with a synthesized voice about “the man he once was” and how the Reapers will rebuild, shot of Reapers repairing a relay, Shepard’s plaque is placed on the wall, Reaper-Shepard keeps talking about how he’s going to do this and that.

Join ending (Green): Shepard disappears, Reapers leave Earth, shot of Reapers leaving Turian homeworld, everyone starts to get green eyes, EDI begins to speak while the camera shows organic and synthetic life binding and her being “alive”, shot of Reapers helping to rebuild all planets that were destroyed, Joker and EDI have sexy robot sex (off-screen), Shepard’s plaque is placed on the wall, EDI hugs Liara.

Refusal ending (the new one): New dialog between Starchild and Shepard, Shepard gets the boy to explain who created the Reapers and why, ending is triggered when Shepard shoots the ghost child instead of choosing an ending, the child says in a deep “SO BE IT!!” voice followed by “The cycle continues.”, view goes to a planet with a beacon with Liara’s voice while panning down into a cavern saying they failed to stop the Reapers, ending of kid and person looking over the horizon changed with no trees, Old Man’s voice changed to a woman’s voice saying it’s glad they got that info.

And here’s where everything goes shit again. The “congratulations, you won!!” pop up shows up for ALL endings, including the Refusal one. And it’s the same message about “We at Bioware blah blah blah..”
As for my opinion on this, I actually like the endings now. The fact they’re different compared to the original endings, and it shows more of what happens if you choose the Join ending. However, I’m still not going to do my playthrough. And there’s another reason for that. It’s the DLC itself. I don’t know if it’s installed or not. I don’t feel like having to reinstall everything (which might wipe out my saves) and possibly watch it do the same thing.
I never even tried playing the game, though. Because I’ve completed all missions, side quests, and turned in all known ‘Search and Rescue’ missions. I’m at the “point of no return” where I head to the Cerberus HQ to get back the final piece for the Conduit.
I have to know if it’s working right or not before I make that decision. Unfortunately, I have yet to get a response. Not even a “wrong section buddy” reply.
I guess I could just backup my saves and try. That way I’ll know if it works or not.
