Part 2. I’m in my sailboat in the north sea, following the coast back home. I saw alot of things today, including Oakvale.
It started with following the coast from Northern Light, heading towards Udgaard. I then spotted Emerald Island. But due to it’s beauty I went too far north. Turned around and finally found Udgaard. Explored alittle and I saw a bear. Fortunately it didn’t see me getting back on the boat, following the coast now to where my boat was built. Got there. Explored. Continued on to Common Denominator Port.
Alittle away from there, I spotted this flat as a pancake island, and on the coast, a cute little house with a manmade river cutting into the coast. Decided to investigate… it’s so adorable. It looked like something out of a map I played in Gmod, one with an Indiana Jones theme.
Anyway, I left this awesome idea this person had(I may do this for my HS), and got to what’s left of CDP. I heard they disbanded, and all the buildings are gone. But they where also building a boat or two — possibly a big one like a Knarr or a Cog. There was alot of boat parts like pegs, tenons, hull planks, and deck boards. I searched around for anything I could use and found nothing. So I headed off north again to IS(Independent Settlers). IS is near to the turn to Oakvale.
Got to this odd town. Found out this is Toni’s vacation village when he’s not in the Wild server. Thijs also lives there. For those not in the know, Toni is one of very few people that has his skills close to or at 99, and Thijs is a CM for the Home server. He also taught me how to Flatraise(alot better than Pacer did. Just don’t tell him that. Sadly I forgot how).
As I went through the village I spotted the river to Oakvale, and a house in the middle of the river, sitting on an island. So I hopped back on my boat and swung around the village, explored that house, and went to Oakvale. Two landbridges tried to slow me down. The first one did for awhile when I thought I spotted Oakvale’s boatyard, like Shade told me. Then noticed one of the houses there belonging to something I never thought was possible.. Pinevale! I knew Pinevale had connections to Oakvale.
Soon I went back to the boat and did that thing to get by a landbridge, like I did yesterday. Got past Oakvale’s main landbridge, and actually got to go right into the middle of the town, while still on my boat. That’s when I started to write about part 1.

Well, to make a long story short(too late), I got to Waffle Bay next and got to the top of a cliffhouse owned by Shade, visited a town I couldn’t get in on the other side of the bay named ‘Hinternet Haven’. Left that and continuing going North, nearing for the north sea.
I approached a very weird sight with a deed for no reason. Closing in I reached ‘Horsedog Point’, marking the entrance to the Northwest corner of the Home server. Continuing on I reached Horsedog Cove, where I parked and explored. Saw a house named ‘Vyrona’s Armpit’ and other weirdly named houses.
Back on my boat, I started to turn Northeast as I approached the north sea. I then spotted two boats inside a small pier on the coast, a finished Cog and a Corbita. Desperate to see why angry wanted a Cog, I checked my local, no one but me, turned and parked, went over and tried to board the Cog and successfully teleported high up into the crow’s nest.
MY GOD what a view!!! 😀 And if that wasn’t sweet enough, sitting in the captain’s spot was. Now I want a Cog! Not just for bragging rights, but for feeling like a pirate! Arrr!

lol. The Corbita however won’t allow me to drive, let alone sit on it. I really wanted to take that Cog for a spin like if I was at a used boat lot, but it wasn’t mine. 😛 Plus it was anchored. But it was fun JUST looking like I was controlling something that big.
I hopped back on my… crappy boat(lol) and continued following the coast Northeastward, reaching PI(Port Isengard), my final stop before heading home. It’s supposed to be the home of ‘The Windhunter’. However when I got there, I saw no boat. Only what looks like an unfinished monument. Or an area to place a colossus. After alittle more exploring, I knew it was time to end my vacation and get back to my homestead. But bringing knowledge of how I could improve it, and the desire to want a Cog.

I really needed this vacation, after what happened last week. Though it’s sad angry had to quit. He can’t handle the pain he went through.
Anyway, I’ll be uploading all the pics I took of my vacation once I safely get back home.

I’m currently writing from “Oakvale’s History”, a town in the middle of where Oakvale is now. Leaning against a stone house, named “In memory of Oakvale”, while watching my boat sitting by the token.
I’ve really been enjoying this vacation to the West Coast so far. The things I’ve seen and done are amazing.
But sadly, part of this vacation wasn’t so good. I’ll go over that later in this blog post. First, how this got started…

After waiting an entire weekend for angry to be ready so we could see the Great Pyramid of Northern Light, I finally went by myself yesterday. Angry doesn’t care about Wurm anymore.
I had to go home and deal with my fields first though. Got there. Saw ALL of them where harvestable. What luck. Got them all harvested, gave a pumpkin to my neighbor, and then headed back to Small Bears where I set sail towards the West Coast.
I went south, thinking it would be quicker to get there. But I went the long way. Still saw a few things I didn’t before. I even met a family of three Lava Spiders, who wanted to invite me to dinner at the Hazardous Desert where the champ hostiles train to kill us. I turned down the offer after hearing I was the dinner. 😛
Finally emerging from the Southeastern Passage(which is a fucking landbridge but I was able to get by it), I followed the coast southward, where angry logs in and does a few things while I continue to head West.
Soon, approaching the western ocean, I check the map and spot a small island. I tell angry about it, and he presumes I want to live there, and tells me to pick him up at Ahkenaten. That’s when I smack into this uncharted, small 2×2 island. It’s nothing but dirt and sand, and a rowboat named ‘Water Snail’. It’s owned by ‘Brutalbeetle’. Soon angry logs off and as on Benie now, telling me again to pick him up at Ahkenaten.
Quite a few, ugly things happened after this. I rather not go into details. Only I didn’t wanna live there. Due to it’s… size. He freaks out and shit. Later, I FINALLY find the island on the map. And it’s deeded.
Leaving it, I head towards the coast and go around. As I’m going up, I’m getting a fucking strong northern breeze. Angry then tells me Poonager’s there, and he starts talking to him. It continues to get more and more ugly for angry as I’m trying to hurry up.
There’s another fucking landbridge in my way, identical to the last one. I get by it. Still getting that strong north wind. Angry says that Poon’s now talking about Darkdot and stuff.

Finally, I reach him. He tells me not to talk to anyone. But I’m on my vacation here. So I start talking to them and he’s yelling in his PM. Soon I’m forced to leave, and leave I did, going 13+ km/h with the north wind.
As I headed back to the landbridge, angry kept on with the drama about Darkdot and Yehosh and Poon. Soon I had enough of trying to calm him down and his “I can’t”‘s, and flip to my Village tab, letting him talk to himself. 5 minutes later, he says “good luck” to me and logs off.
I really wish I can help him, but I’m trying to enjoy my vacation! I wish both of them would just forget about this and move on.
But still, I need to talk to Poonager first. So after I finally got in the western ocean, and parked near what was Bravo Lima Lighthouse, I started talking with him about this. How he made him leave.

Poon is convinced angry made Yehosh and Vixey leave. To tell you the truth, I don’t know what did now. He claims angry used alts for grieving. So now I know this will never end. Angry said to me that if I found Bennie Bay, he would come back.

So, anyway. Back to the vacation. Bravo Lima Lighthouse is now called ‘Eastside Village’. Not much to see as I waited for Sol to rise. Once it did I was back on my boat, heading for New Westport. Getting there I docked and explored. It was very pretty. The town though was just called ‘Westport’. I was disappointed though how… small it was. Here I pictured Westport being the central hub for access to the Wild server. Though it has some awesome views.
Finally..it was onto my destination. To see the Pyramid of Northern Light.

Time went on as I was searching for the bay. Not to mention a beam of light shooting into the sky. I didn’t see either. Eventually I did find the bay by docking my boat at this small, deedless town, on a hill. I walked over the hill, and… it looked like something out of a show from the Discovery Channel about Egyptians. The shore was…covered in stone. And I could easily see the ‘pyramid’. I immediately got back on my boat and went around the hill, getting into NL Bay.
The place looked like a National Monument, open to the public. After finding a parking spot, I pulled out my camera and went exploring as the knowledge-hungry Wyr…human I am. 🙂
I was very disappointed though when I saw the pyramid. I expected a beam of white light shooting into the sky from the top. All there was, is the ‘Colossus of Northern Light’. I’m guessing you can only find that on the Wild server.
After getting a few more pictures, I found Robfox’s house. Named ‘Robfox’s foxhole’. Cool name.
I then headed back to my boat where I logged off.

So this is Part 1 of 2, of my West Coast vacation. After I visit Waffle Bay and re-enter the north ocean, heading back to Small Bears, I will be writing part 2. Until then, have fun reading.

Haven’t been on Wurm. Been waiting for angry to get on so we can head west. As I waited I done four things;
Posted about the success of Netherdrake 1.5 on the Personal Blog.
Posted the location of my HS to the Wurm Forum so thejanitor can add me to the map.
Worked in Gmod some more and made my Gun Range bigger and better.
Worked in Gmod, starting work on a new train.

Soon angry came on, but he has to help Gop in a few games. He then told me he was planning to walk there and encouraged me to join. I put my foot down, telling him I’m taking my boat. So, he said he’ll walk there himself… what is he crazy?!
I log into Wurm and see a Young scorp waving to me at the road, wanting me to come over and play “kill the player”. Not only that but I forgot I got a farm I need to tend. Got that done, then lead the playful scorp around the corner and got it’s ass pwned. As I did I spotted an Adol huge spider. So I also had to get it out of the way.
Then when I thought it was clear, I headed up the road, here comes a Young brown bear out of nowhere, saying “Wait for me guys! Lets gang up on him!”. It saw I killed it’s friends and tried to fuck me up.. however got fucked up twice trying to get me due to dev path coding. lol(aka he was doing a little “WTF HAX” dance)
Finally I got it’s furry dancing ass in the deed and got it thoroughly pwned. After that, I got to Small Bears safely. As I was closing in, angry finally agreed to go with me on my boat, but still needs to help Gop.
Alittle later after I arrived, he logs in. Then tells me to log on as him, get him home, drop his shit off except his lantern and tar, and grab his flint rock. Then logged off. So I did that and got in.
Going down Bearback Highway, I was passing by SoTR as angry and noticed I had access. The gatehouse apparently has been downgraded to a 1×1.
Soon I got him home, saw my neighbor butchered the 3 hostiles I lured in, dropped his stuff and got back to Small Bears safely, where I’m currently typing this.

At the rate this is going, with angry busy helping Gop, I don’t think we’ll be going anywhere today.

I made a last hope to end this thing by saying that I have the house built and working on floorboards(which I have those done and placed as well), and want to go to the Pyramid of Northern Light with him.
Apparently though he’s avoiding me by sleeping all day. I can only hope if he does come on and reads the messages I left him, he’ll reconsider to end this ‘vacation’. To tell you the truth, this is just another way to ‘have my space’ from angry. Friends sometimes need their space, aka time to themselves.
All I really want though is angry to stick to MY plans. He can’t seem to handle this and claims he always screws them up with his suggestions. And if I don’t do his suggestions, he gets butthurt. Why he’s doing this ‘vacation’.

So why don’t I just go to Small Bears, find my sailboat, and get to the Pyramid of Northern Light? Because I told him that we will go together…IF he lets me drive.
Anyway, my neighbor talked to me for the first time, asking me how I was doing and had no idea about this ‘vacation’ from angry. I explained how “helpful” he likes being, but the topic quickly switched to meals.

This day hasn’t really been good. It started as angry helping me make the two mine doors I needed. Since then the day got more and more ugly. Angry insisted his suggestion for my house and the new pier would be better than mine, but I didn’t like it. It had things that I wouldn’t add, such as two fountains, and this… dumb seating thing surrounded by fences.
So I went on with my plan, by moving the pathway to my house to the right, going through the deed token. I then told angry to clear the area, but he walked in the house, trying to defend it. Pissed because I didn’t like his plan maybe?
I didn’t let him stop me and did it anyway, then re-planned the house, having a new two tiled deck.
As I was getting planks/shafts for my house, he went over to my new neighbor and asked him if he could paint his house blue. He said yes. Then I had the nerve to say “I wish someone asked me that”. I’m pretty sure he snapped when he started to remove all the lamps on my HS, hand a few to my neighbor, and then leave, he then came back and told me he’s going to Elysium with Gop so he could show him it, and knew I wouldn’t wanna go.

After he told me because I ignored him, he tried to ‘steal’ my sailboat from me by leaving it at Serenity Bay. I said that I didn’t wanna speak to him for awhile. Unfortunately that was granted in the form of a ‘vacation’ from him.
When I heard that I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. Sure, he can be annoying and does what I don’t ask, but if you get past all of that…he’s always there when you need someone to talk to. I begged him to reconsider, but he had it in his head to give me some space so I can continue work on my HS undisturbed. Apparently he read yesterday’s blog post. :-/
He told me that he may be back Monday, and then left. After that I felt like breaking down in tears. About 5 minutes later Gop logs in, angry tells him in PMs what’s going on and they head off.
It took me awhile to snap out of my emotions and enjoy not having him around…it’s only for this weekend anyway. The main reasons why I need him is to help me, and for food. I’ve been so used to him helping me, that I lost my desire to live on my own..sorta.
He told me before he left that I could get food at Greenside. But I can see myself going up there, suddenly being surrounded by hostiles all around me, telling me to go back home and make meals myself.

3 things happened after he left. First was Poonager, telling me and my neighbor there’s a champ black bear past what was Infinity. I wonder if it was the same that raided my HS a week ago.
2nd, was this guy that walks right into my house as I’m sawing logs, asking me if I seen Benie around. I tell him I’m Benie, and then he says something about someone leaving and asks if I want the writs. An OSHI- feeling went through my head, not knowing what to do I asked angry in Yahoo! Messenger. He told me to take them and will explain after my ‘vacation’ is over, saying it’s a long story.
And the 3rd, another Young black wolf. I spotted it North of my HS. Easily lured it in and got it killed.

As I built my house, a thought came to my head. Since I was angry-free for the weekend, why not take advantage of it and go to places on my sailboat, on my own?
I asked angry if I could have my sailboat in Yahoo! Messenger, he said no and that they’re using it to go back home. But I felt that it was unfair that he has my boat. He said how I would be too busy working on my house to go anywhere.
That’s when I told him I’m going to the Pyramid of Northern Light, in a “Haha! You can’t stop me! If you don’t give me my sailboat I’ll get a GM on your ass!” attitude. However I wish I didn’t use it.. because I feel I just made things much, much harder on him. I fear this will make him defriend me and leave Wurm, forever.

I can’t really help it, you see. To tell you the truth, going anywhere with him just isn’t enjoying. Particularly the fact he’s now a prem and can use my sailboat anytime he wants without my permission. I enjoyed when I got to take him places, now it’s no fun the other way around.
Being captain on that sailboat made me feel proud to be a prem. Now with angry using it and not wanting to start building one of his own…it’s just no fun anymore.

I could make it up to him for the hurtful thing I said up there about taking advantage of this ‘angry free weekend’ and build him another sailboat. But then he wouldn’t want it.
But it would make going places more fun, since we’ll have our own sailboats.

As for the house, construction is going quick. I’m currently down to my last two walls. I have my table and chairs built(finally. The chair was harder to build than the table).
The table…damn it’s tall. It’s the same size as the bottom of a house window. I didn’t expect it to be that tall. Kinda throws off the realism, but hopefully I can still make this work with alittle coaxing.
