“Benie, please come back to the MRT Server!”

Where should I start with this one? Hmm. I’ll admit, I’m getting a bit bored with WoW again. Having leveled two 90’s, working on rep for The Tillers.
Getting a bit, boring, fishing for 50 Jade Lungfish just to get my Cooking up, which in turn would help do Cooking rep dailies for The Tillers by cooking what they would like to eat, once per day.
And then farming. Filling up my bags with vegetables, since you never know when they’ll be needed for a certain dish.

So when I got home, and was nearly falling asleep due to having nothing to do, I decided to check out what’s been going on, on the MRT Server via Chief’s Snapshot videos on Youtube.

This one has new rules; all from being on the server last week for some time away from WoW.
There’s now a new rule for road construction. People have to ask a Staff Member before they build a road. How that is going to be enforced… is up in the air. I’m sure I will come into play with that, being as “obsessive” with roads as Frumple told me (and he’s right too, I’ll admit it).
There’s also a new “The Thousand Hour Clause” rule. That if you build something and it hasn’t been touched in 1,000 hours (which is just over a month according to Chief), we Staff Members can flag it for removal.

So anyway, I hopped into Mumble in hopes of speaking to Chief and Frumple about these rules, and find out that ComputerGhost has been promoted to Admin. I’m slightly jealous, but from what he’s done for the server, he deserves it.
So I asked them about these new rules. Frumple said that the only way to enforce the road rule is if I stay on the server more often, since I’m the only one that cares about them. Chief added by saying how I’m “head of roads”. There is no such official title. It’s something xplay came up with.

Since I’m getting a bit bored with WoW, I may come back to the server more frequently. Though I don’t really know what I would do. I do need to work on Lakeside Town, my NPC town. I’m planning to use WorldDownloader to get the latest of my roads, then work on the map offline in MCEdit and build the town. Then “move” the changes to the server by rebuilding everything by hand.

My second Level 90, and first ever Melee char that solo’d 1-90

Quite few records have been broken today, by my Monk;
1. Highest-leveled alt.
2. First ever melee-class char that solo’d from 1-90 without needing my main’s help.
3. First ever char to keep the bags used when I started leveling all the way to 90. Yes. Still got the 6 and 8 slot bags.

A thing I noticed, which is similar to what happened when it came to leveling an alt a month after my main did in Cata, there was a lot less people. Which is good, due to very little, sometimes any competition for kills and collection quests.
But there was also a good, yet bad side to this. Of my Monk’s DPS being so shitty, I died a lot due to being overwhelmed. Do not want. 😛

Despite the blood, sweat, and anger coming from my mouth IRL, calling everyone that gets in my way just to piss me off; “you fuck!”, my Monk hit 90 in 1/4 the time it did my Hunter. I was at 100% XP in the Dread Wastes, so I basically started killing random enemies ’till ding. I think I killed like 10-12 Level 89 to 90’s.
I thank the 10% XP guild level reward increase. Leveling my Monk helped to raise my guild’s level even higher than that. In total, since my Monk was created, the guild went from Level 5, to Level 12. Which is pretty impressive for a guild that consists of just me and my alts. But I think the reason, is because Blizzard removed the level cap limits to guilds in MoP. I remembered back in Cata, there was a max per day or per week of Guild XP. That limit is gone.

.
What am I going to do now, you ask? I grow tired of squishing bugs in the Dread Wastes. Started work on Tillers rep in the Valley of the Four Winds. You know, the faction that brings farming to WoW. It also makes Cooking have a purpose (to me). Halfhill has really helped boost my Hunter’s Cooking skill, from 31 to 527. And I feel sort of fortunate I ‘waited’ this long to get it up. Because it would be harder if it wasn’t for the 5 skill increase per cooked dish thingy of Halfhill.

Getting rep with The Tillers is unique. It’s mostly dailies, yes (kill quests, collection quests that make you want to kill yourself due to the number of people wanting the same thing you do), but it also involves you to grow veggies and wait ’till the wee hours of the next morning to harvest them (you can also do it when it’s day, if you wish).

And it isn’t just that. No sir. With a really high Cooking skill (525+), you can help make dishes to get people from The Tillers to like you. And the more they do, benefits come to your co-owned farm. Like the ability to grow even more veggies, and have automatic machines that will take care of those damn problems with planting, for you.

With my 525 Cooking, I can now cook advanced dishes, with the help from advanced Cooking skill trainers, called the “Way of the Brew/Grill/Oven/Pot/Steamer/Wok”. There’s even a title when you hit 600 with all of these trainers. One in particular may just give me an edge, allowing me to cook things that grant Agility, which is what my Hunter and my Monk need according to Mr.Robot.
This may also help my Druid and my Rogue, if I send them to Pandaria. And if I do, they’ll be a tag-team. Helping eachother level up. Would be interesting.

Most of these advanced dishes, recommend/require you to utilize the farm you’re co-owned with. Currently I got three “Juicycrunch Carrot”s, and a Cabbage. The carrots are to hopefully get me into the Way of the Wok, which will unlock the Agility cooking I mentioned in the paragraph above this one.
And the Cabbage, is for a daily for the farmer you’re co-owning the farm with. You also need Fishing for some ingredients for dishes. Fishing helps with Cooking.

The one thing about The Tillers, even when you get Exalted, you still need to use the farm to gather things needed for Cooking, in other words if you need more Agility-based things, gotta go to the farm and plant more to get more. And the seeds are a hell of a lot cheaper than going to the AH.

.
What am I going to do after that? Depends on how good the Agility buffs are with my gear. Might start doing Scenarios, like get revenge for what the Horde did to Theramore (which is funny, because it’s still standing proudly in Kalimdor. Seems to be instanced, like Wyrmrest Temple; “Frozen in the past”). I am geared enough for them, on both my Hunter and my Monk. If I suck there, then I’ll work on rep from The Anglers, then Golden Lotus. But that’s a ways away. But who knows? I got the 10% rep bonus by the guild being Level 12. Might be sooner.

Blizzard to help Superstorm Sandy victims by offering pet on Blizzard Store

Made this post as a way to first say, of a few leveling records that were shattered, by my Monk.
The first, was getting 60-70 in Outland, before even my Druid. And the most impressive is 70-80. My Monk only took two DAYS to do it.
If that’s not impressive enough, she was 77 when she left Borean Tundra for Grizzly Hills. I can only guess this was due to the 10% XP increase of the Guild, and the Wintergrasp 5% XP buff. Also had that 50% increase after doing Monk Training. So, that’s like 65% faster XP.

Now doing Cata quests, it seems to be back to normal. That is if you call almost completing Vash’jir at Level 84, normal.

.
.

So anyway, the reason I made this post. Surely everyone’s heard of the devastating, outreaching affects of Superstorm Sandy. Well, Blizzard is working with the Red Cross, to help the survivors of Sandy. The catch is, you gotta buy a pet on the Blizzard Store for $10. But 100% of that $10 will go to the Red Cross, instead of to Blizzard.
The pet is a flaming kitten. Some people want to do preorders, JUST to get that kitten because it’s “so adorable”.
Some, think it’s a promotional gimmick of Blizzard to make it like they actually care.
Some are seeing of ones that are buying the pet just to donate, is a shame, due the fact that they can’t donate normally to the Red Cross.
And some see that Blizzard’s wasting their time, because FEMA and other agencies will take care of the survivors, by providing them food, clothes, and all other basic survival essentials.

Blizzard’s stance of this, which I agree with; “if this gets lots of people to donate to a good cause, it’s worth it”. Blizzard can be retarded when it comes to their rules of WoW, but they aren’t outside of it. This is a noble cause, and I will support it.

Just to put this on the table, I’ve donated $10 via texting to the Red Cross when it first came up. Do I want this pet? Not really. But I will get it to support the Red Cross, once again. Though I’m sure I’ll be looked down with disdain over getting this thing, even though I’ll tell them I donated way before this thing came out (as in they won’t believe me, or just trolling).
Also, I have seven cats in my house IRL. So, yeah. I don’t see this flaming kitten being “cute”, when I got enough cute there.

If it was a flaming Murloc, however… then I’d grab it! Because baby Murlocs are adorable. 🙂

A friend returns / MRT’s TerminusConnect like the ILL of the W2TS / 1.4 coming Wednesday

Frosbeyn has returned to WoW. He’s the same guy who used to RP with me quite some time ago. He’s not doing that anymore, realizing that he “sucks at RP”. He’s starting to level another char now; a Hunter. He doesn’t have MoP yet.

.
.
In other news, Chief’s latest Snapshot video of the MRT Server went up today. Nothing out of the usual… except the new “TerminusConnect” Line, which will, once it’s completed, connect to all terminus stations. He’s using his own semi-automated vanilla design instead of Frumple’s. Why do I care about this? It reminds me of the Inner Loop Line of the W2TS. And it just might give me ideas on how to improve my own.

First off, he mentions the line is completely underground, and seperate from the other four colored lines; where the ILL is mainly elevated and is attached to the Red and Blue. Will it have other stations it links to, besides the terminus’s, like mine? Maybe not. The ILL for me is the only way to get to the W2TS Marina.

But to put the entire thing underground, and keep it separated from the Red and Blue lines? *rubs chin* That’s not a bad idea. Might even motivate me to get back to work on the W2TS.

Another thing I wanted to mention, this new “Conductor” rank the server has, will put less of a strain on moderators like myself (yay!). They’ll be able to repair stations, and place water. They won’t however, be able to do WorldEdit jobs.

And last but not least, news that Minecraft 1.4 is coming this Wednesday. This will finally give my highways on the server a purpose, with pig cars! Aka, controllable pigs that use a carrot on a stick. This will make the Car Mod obsolete.

Monks are freakin’ awesome

I’ve been playing as a Human Monk, to pass the time of waiting ’till the next day for dailies. And man, is playing a Monk fun! Currently Level 22 in Duskwood.
From what I’m seeing, this is a multi-hybrid class. A Rogue, Restro Druid, and Warrior combined into one.
First off, the Rogue aspect is the quick, hard attacks (even a one-hit kill option). I can bring a guy’s health down in mere seconds.
The Warrior aspect is the Taunt ability, that you can pull an enemy over to you.
And a Restro Druid, being able to resurrect someone, heal yourself, and clean poison effects.

This all leads up to one really fun Melee class. Usually I can’t play Melee classes that well, but with these three “aspects”, it makes things a lot easier. Also, Fists of Fury is best for bosses and multiple attackers. It used to be a lot more overpowered back in the Beta (video that I saw someone playing a Monk).

I got a pretty good rotation too. Two smacks of Jab, two Blackout Kicks, one Jab, one Tiger Palm = Dead hostile. And the Flying Serpent Kick is awesome. Not only can it be used as a temp speed increase, it can be used as a weapon. And I love the Yu’lon-like dragon head that shows up when it’s activated. That makes it more awesome.

Another Restro Druid-like thing, is the ability to teleport to the Peak of Serenity in Ka-Li Summit in Pandaria, once you hit Level 20. You get training in the ways of the Monk, and the training can actually save your life (even though it’s obvious enough to avoid AoE effects as any class; even a Hunter). But here’s the thing about this teleport; you can go back near where you were, which is the nearest… graveyard. Why on earth did they think that was a good idea? Why not the exact location?

Here’s a funny thing. Once you complete your first training by defeating the master, you get a Daily to do it again. And this is what’s funny. Normally it’s telling me to “come back in the future” to continue my training. With the daily, I get the traditional, annoying “come back tomorrow” statement.
Why do I have the option for a daily anyway? That’s a way bit too early. Dailies are an endgame thing, not at Level 22.

Justice Point acquiring, no more… / An awesome new game I can’t stop thinking about

Decided it was finally time to start doing dungeons and gearing up, via acquiring Justice Points. Not to do Heroics or the new Scenarios, but to survive while doing my dailies.
I did Stormstout Brewery. It’s a lot different than what I saw in a video of MoP Beta. There’s also one other thing different; I noticed I wasn’t getting JP when we killed a boss.
And when we killed the final one, no JP. My “WTF?!” meter went off the scale.

I remember reading about a major change to currency; the reason I got 704g when I logged in on the 4th. However, this change seems to remove the acquisition of getting Justice Points via doing dungeons. Why did Blizzard do such a stupid thing, I wish I knew. I heard there’s a way to convert Valor points into Justice, but that system hasn’t been implemented yet.
What’s worse, Blizzard hasn’t implemented a Valor Point quartermaster.

This pretty much says “I’m fucked”. Because I rely on Mr.Robot to help me choose the right gear for me. Without JP, I’ll never be able to get better. One person told me just to do dailies, that some greens are better than Justice gear. But without Mr.Robot telling me this… I just don’t know. Thinking that I have to be forced to manually choose what gear is better, makes my stomach sick.

One thing that puzzles me, why am I getting Valor Points for completing something as simple, as a Daily? Back in Cata and before, Valor was only offered for doing Heroic dungeons. All I can pray for is that system to convert Valor to Justice comes, and soon. This is my only hope.
I’m not surprised I’m the only one that’s bitching about this. Because I don’t know how to compare gear, or what I need more. Do I need more Hit? Mastery? Critical Strike? Hell if I know. Why I rely on Mr.Robot. Because it does know. I fail at math so bad.

Not even doing a yellow-colored dungeon (an 88-90) gives me JP. So, now I see doing dungeons is utterly pointless (for me, anyway).

Moving on, yesterday I was checking out the Greenlight feature of Steam. There’s a game that really caught my eye, based off of games like Descent, and Terminal Velocity; Miner Wars 2180. No, it’s not a Minecraft mod. What it is, is a free-flowing survival FPS simulator game. The game isn’t on Steam, but people are trying to bring it on (the purpose for Greenlight).

I watched a few videos. The graphics are amazing, and so is the gameplay. Nearly everything can be blown up in this world. And the world is massive. You have these research bases. And you can also fly around in Outer Space! Which I really, really love. Except don’t expect to see planets. Space is littered with asteroids, that were once planets. And every now and then, the sun emits a powerful Solar Flare. You have to scramble to get inside, or your ship goes *boom*.

You can also carve out these asteroids with rockets, or using a mining bore. I did mention that nearly everything in the game can be blown up. You can make a cave system in an asteroid if you wanted to.

There’s three game modes; Single Player, Co-op, and Deathmatch. But as sweet as this game is, there is a really bad side to it. It requires over 4GB of RAM. This has a lot of people ticked off. One saying that he ran a demo with the lowest settings and the lowest resolution, using 4GB of RAM, and was getting 1-3 FPS. Now that’s just wrong.
But, if the developers are forcing this, then .. *shrug* what can you do? But if I ever get a more beefy computer, I want this game! I’ll pay any price it asks for. I can’t get those sweet graphics out of my head.

Post-90, what to do…

Since I’m now Level 90, I’ve been trying to think of what to do. There’s still quite a few things that MoP added besides the continent. But some of them I just don’t wish to do.
One is gearing up. Mr.Robot hasn’t really been helpful in showing me what to get. Basically, it seems either I have to do a Heroic dungeon I can’t do yet due to my item level, or it doesn’t show where to get the item.

But what it has, I managed to get a few pieces. Two in particular, would make the fashion police arrest me, for being a violator. The chestpiece looks like someone threw up on it, and the pants without the chestpiece, I can see my butt crack. Ugh. What was Blizzard thinking when they made these pieces?! This just makes me not even bother gearing up. I want gear that is not only functional, it looks good as well.

So, Archaeology. Still boring as watching paint dry. Except they added a few twists. Every now and then, a Level 90 Sha (non-elite) called an ‘Ancient Haunt’ pops up and you have to kill it to get the fragment. The other twist, you may sometimes get your hands on a Pristine fragment, that has a quest attached to it. All you do is fly to the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, and on the upper level of Mogu’shan Palace is the Seat of Knowledge. Is it here where you turn in your pristine artifacts and put them on display.
One last twist, is sometimes you’ll get a Daily, to turn in either 20 Pandarian or Mogu fragments. And they’ll happily compensate you for doing so.

This is also where Lorewalker Cho can tell you stories of Pandaria, if you search for them. I’ve found several during my leveling, but only one since doing his quest. And I never got his story. So I dunno what’s up with that.

I haven’t messed with the Pet Battle system yet. Don’t think I will. And as for the Order of the Cloud Serpent, it’s starting to seem more like Netherwing rep than Venomhide Raptor teeth. For two days, I haven’t done any quests for my hatchling; only for them. Day 2, when I finished my dailies, they said “you’ve done all you can for your hatchling”. I didn’t do anything for him! All I’ve been doing is dailies of helping the Serpent Masters do their job of helping the wild Cloud Serpents, kill the Saurok; the lizard guys.
Wowhead says that once you hit Revered, you’ll start doing more with your hatchling. So I guess that’s ok.

.
.
.
.
And the last thing. Which is making me kinda sick and worried at the same time. I asked in the WoW Forum of why I’m lagging so bad when I turn. They say it’s possible my C drive is dying on me. And it could be, since that drive is one of the two things I haven’t replaced of my 2005 computer.

I did some asking around, and someone lead me to a site which you can download this tool called ‘Seagate SeaTools’, which can do diagnostics on any drive, any manufacture, to determine if one’s drive is really dying or not.

So I ran the Windows version on my C drive, and shockingly, it passed every single one of its tests. I’m very, very happy at this, as it will buy me time. I’m planning to someday get a one Terrabyte hard drive as a new C drive.
I’m also planning to get a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. You see, the version I got currently is… non-legit. And I know eventually, Microsoft is going to crack down on people like me. This is why I’m going to play it safe, and pay the $200.

That and, I’m unsure if installing my non-legit copy of 7 (even though my computer is calling it “genuine”) on the new hard drive, will work again. It’s not that my computer will “blow up” over it, it’s just, Windows may refuse to boot period if it, or an update I’m not paying attention to, detects a non-legit copy.

And without Windows, you can’t really access your computer. I’m of course, pissed off I even have to pay for a copy. $200 is a LOT of fucking money here, for a piece of software! And it’s not even Windows itself that costs; it’s the License Key. That is what costs. $200 for a bunch of numbers on a piece of paper.
Corporate Greed in the first degree.

But, I really have no choice.

Yay! Level 90! And again no real celebration

So I hit the big 9-0 last night (pretty much just under a week since I started), after killing a mini-boss and turning in a quest in the Dread Wastes. Immediately I went to Paw’Don Village at all due speed, knowing I had to go to SW to get the Level 90 flight training.
When I finally got back and got to the flight trainer, I was shocked and sickened the new flight unlocker, the “Wisdom of the Four Winds” flight training, wasn’t there. I had a feeling I had to head to the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, and to the new city to reach it. But I needed confirmation.

So when I got back to Pandaria, I asked and got my unwelcome answer. I also got a helpful one from a Mage who offered to port me to the new city, the “Shrine of Seven Stars”. I took it and wound up where I was supposed to go. After waiting for my computer to stop having a seizure (god damn turning lag…) the Mage told me to speak to the guy on the Cloud Serpent to get my training, and I did, and got my Dragon Form back! 😀

Flew straight to the Jade Forest, and flew around those pillars. Just as fun as I’d hoped they would be. That area is also where you go to start your rep with ‘The Order of the Cloud Serpent’ to get your very own Cloud Serpent, aka Chinese Dragon mount. I’ll talk about that a bit later. The Jade Serpent Statue is still destroyed. I’m unsure if there’s any dailies that you can help to rebuild it.

So with that all said and done, and the Explore Pandaria achievement under my belt, and also I tried to see if the turning lag was related to my addons. So I wiped everything out. I got QuestHelper 2 to work perfectly again (even though it still doesn’t have a MoP database).

I headed back to the Vale of Eternal Blossoms to do the quest of being with the prince. Then my computer decided to LOL LOCKUP on me. Finally getting back, I was a bit saddened that it seemed, the quest chain with him had abruptly ended to the point, you went around asking people how they’re doing.
It just didn’t seem, right. The zone seemed too, quiet. Too peaceful after what I’ve gone through in Mantid territory (Dread Wastes). I found the prince at the new city, just standing there with no intention of wanting to go back home to SW, and to his father. Again, not right. His father must be worried sick about now. And what of Taylor? Why are they still at that camp? There’s just so many damn quest loopholes.
There’s also one other thing. The new city is contested, yet there’s no Horde. Just Alliance. Reason to believe that it’s faction phased. I actually like this. What I don’t like, is there’s no AH. Well, only one, but you have to have Engineering to access him. That blows.

I got a quest to meet “The Black Prince”. I’ve been seeing his bodyguards here and there. I’ve been thinking this was a Horde only thing, but it’s not. You meet “Wrathion”, who says he’s the son of Deathwing, but hopes I won’t have any hard feelings. Though I was about to shoot him right between the eyes for saying that. He does understand what hell his father put me through. But it was his father that forced me to gear up. So, all is fair on my end, and I let him continue.
And he did, explaining how the Reds stole him as an egg and experimented on him to create him.
Since we’re both civilized dragons, he offered me a drink to explain the future of Azeroth. And so I went along with it, curious to hear his story.
So he goes over to a wall, then makes a small globe of Azeroth show up, while explaining that it’s true, his father was misguided, but was right about one thing: that Azeroth is “fragile”.

He explains of a “great evil”; a great darkness. But never went into details. And that the war between the Horde and Alliance has to end soon, before all of Azeroth is blah de blah.. my guess is he’s talking about the Sha. The ones that feed off our negative emotions (fear, hate, anger). The same emotions that I have to control.
He also states that he supports the Alliance fully, and then looks at me and says “heroes like you” have the answer to stopping the war. This is a black dragon?

He ends with giving me two quests. What’s weird is since accepting the request to meet him, the quest giver icons are orange instead of the standard yellow. Quest 1 involves going into raid dungeons and collecting Sigils of Power and Wisdom… pass. Quest 2, get Honored rep with him. He states that killing Level 90 Mogu and Mantid will give me rep.
What do you get when you complete these? No idea. He doesn’t seem that worried about Azeroth’s demise or anything like that. Telling me to take my time and no rush. So, thank goodness for that. Though he did state that in “a few months”, something could happen.

So, well there’s two other things to discuss. My gear, and getting Cloud Serpent rep. The two kind of bind together. First, my gear. It’s appalling (the reason I didn’t really celebrate when I hit 90). I’m taking nearly a minute to bring down ONE Level 90 target. That’s not right. And it sickens me. My pet keeps getting his ass kicked. I’m spending most the time trying to keep him healed, or using up all of my Focus trying to Arcane Shot the target down.
I’m still killing, though, just not as fast as I want. And not killing fast can sometimes overwhelm me when multiple enemies attack. Such as getting Cloud Serpent rep.

So, getting the rep. You can get an egg and raise it up. Similar to the Raptor Mount quest on the Horde side. But you don’t get to take your hatchling with you. To start, you go to this valley which is under attack by these lizard people, who are killing off the Cloud Serpents. We don’t want that to happen, do we? So I went there and made them pay for their crimes. I also escorted wayward hatchlings back to their nests, and rescued some eggs.
Three of those eggs, only one I can claim as mine. I chose the Green one. Since the Green chinese dragon looks more natural. Like a true Chinese Dragon. Anyway, the little girl hatched and immediately likes me.

I started with three dailies. There’s more, but they aren’t related to my hatchling. Both are profession-related. However tailored to me. One is Arch. The other, First Aid. Both doable with time. Just need the materials (and Zen Archeology training) to complete them.
The three dailies I did that were related to the hatchling, I had to get honeycomb. Had to kill bees to get them. The second. Was kinda… stinky. Another shit quest! Like Blizzard hasn’t made enough of them! And the 3rd, kill a Level 90 wasp. No elites, which is good.

Turning the quests in to the hatchling. Probably the cutest thing I’ve ever seen; especially the Honeycomb one. How it wrapped itself around me and licked my fingers. D’awww.. 🙂 That is just too cute!

So anyway, that’s all there is to say. I’ll continue doing the Cloud Serpent dailies. I also have unfinished quests to do, back in the Dread Wastes. More money for me. I have 9k so far. I can use this to buy bigger, needed bags. For both my inventory and my bank. Then I can store more ‘treasure’ in my ‘cave’.

Level 89! And stuck on “Connecting”

Since Blizzard can’t seem to get their fingers off the “CRASH LOGIN SERVER” button, this gives me a chance to make another blog post of how leveling in Pandaria has been treating me.

I’m currently in a Shado-Pan camp in Townlong Steppes, sleeping on the floor in a tent while of course waiting for the login server to get back on. I’ve been trying to help out Lord Zhu, who is the leader of the Shado-Pan. He seems to like my skills. This could work in my favor for them to trust the Alliance; me being the spearhead.

I’m also Level 89! Go me! I’m nearly halfway to Level 90 and being able to fly.
So let’s talk questing. I’m actually getting tired of it. Mostly tired of the strange yet very serious turning/moving lag I’m getting. I fear I might have a memory leak in my computer. Either that or my computer can’t handle the graphics of Pandaria. Also getting tired of these constant arrow collection quests. I’ve done three so far. I remember only doing one in Cata.

I’ve been talking with Terlarer. He said how he grinded rep for a week and was able to get a Cloud Serpent, and how they were supposed to be hard to acquire. Something about needing lots of eggs. I really hope this isn’t another Netherwing-like deal.
He also answered some (but not all) of my questions. He answered if there’s a way to get to and from Pandaria. And if there’s bankers in Pandaria.
The question he couldn’t answer, is if the Jade Serpent statue is rebuilt when you hit 90 (or a way to help rebuild). Says he doesn’t read quests, nor has since the Burning Crusade. And all he can think about is “I can’t wait to start raiding!”. Typical raiders. 😛

It’s good there’s a way to get back to SW (you gotta go to Paw’Don Village in The Jade Forest), because my bags were getting overfilled constantly and it was annoying the hell out of me. Some of my stuff I threw in the AH has sold already. Unfortunately where I am currently, they have no mailbox. It’s just a base camp.

I’ve defeated a few elite bosses; some with the help of NPC’s (as a quest). I’m really loving my new Stampede command. Everytime I issue it, I say “Rape Time!!”. As in, the target gets owned so bad by all of my pets.
There seems to be a limit to how many assist you during those 20 minutes. My devilsaur, “Dino” doesn’t show up. But a copy of my current pet does. Dunno what’s up with that.

I defeated the Sha of Hatred last night. He was pretty much my hate for Deathwing, of what he did to Azeroth. He was a boss, but I had help bringing him down. Similar to what I did to defeat Ragnos over in Mount Hyjal in Cata. The strongest of the Shado-Pan assisted me.

I’ve dealt, and still dealing with the Mantid; one of the great enemies of the Shado-Pan. These bug guys are very annoying, and strong too. But I’ve dealt with enemies being strong in Cata. So I’m no stranger to it.

Lastly, the Gate of the August Celestials was opened. All three of the gods showed up. The White Tiger, the Red Crane, and the Jade Serpent. This gateway opens up the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. And according to the prince, could hold the key to healing Azeroth from Deathwing’s destruction. But they warn us to use the area wisely. I don’t see how undoing the damage is a bad thing.
Before the gate was opened, I had to prove to them at the White Tiger temple, that the Alliance is no threat to Pandaria. By defeating… myself. My fears, doubts, and anger that were bottled up inside me for years. Though the anger part, should had been Deathwing (Blizzard would had worked as well… lol) instead of Garrosh. The prince pleaded to them that we just trying to defend our loved ones, and our home. Which is a noble cause.

So anyway, that’s all I gotta say. Blizzard knows about this login issue. But won’t give us an update for an hour. Typical Blizzard. The kind side knows that they’ll get it fixed eventually, but the impatient side doesn’t. Pandaria has done nothing for me IRL.

And an hour later, it’s back up! For how long, I don’t know. I got in 45 minutes ago for something like 10 minutes, then it went back down again.

Mists of Pandaria – The leveling road restarts

I’ve decided to leave the MRT Server early, after multiple things going wrong (needed a break). I was planning to come back on Monday (the 7th). Currently as I write this, I’m Level 86, and bordering on 87, with 4% to go.

Getting to Pandaria is different, compared to what I saw on a MoP Beta video. All you do is fly to SW, and you immediately get a quest where you can fly into Stormwind Keep. There you see a cinematic of the king trying to get ahold on the whereabouts of his son, and Captain (now Admiral) Taylor. Both went to Pandaria, but contact is lost.

This is where you come in. You’re hired by SI: 7 to hunt down and bring back home the king’s son, Adriun Wrynn. Also to rescue Admiral Taylor. You have to fly to the Skyfire; the same zeppelin that helped to take down Deathwing. You go to Pandaria to fulfill your mission, and kick some Horde ass (non-PvP, by the way).

To describe what has happened between when I arrived in Pandaria to now, would be several posts. So, I’ll just go over it with a list, in order I saw it.

– Kicking Horde ass
– QuestHelper 2 is not helpful. No MoP database.
– “Quest #0” pops up. Possibly related to the failure of QuestHelper 2.
– The Sha first appear after defeating the Horde camp.
– The Lord of the Shado-Pan shows up, and warns the Alliance to “take your fight off our shores”.
– I’m hired as a Diplomat of the Alliance, to show the Pandarian that we’re the “good guys” here.
– Did battle with the Hozen, and befriended the Jinu.
– The Jade Forest is gorgeous.
– I flew on a kite.
– Rescued Admiral Taylor.
– Got a brief vision of Aldrin’s location.
– Had to learn my center to get full control of my vision.
– “Rescued” the Prince, but he refused to go home and went to Vale of Eternal Blossoms.
– Saw the Jade Dragon Statue in person. It’s awesome.
– Did some boring collection quests.
– Met the Pandarian’s mortal enemy, the Mogu. And they met the receiving end of my gun. 🙂
– I dinged to Level 86.
– I helped with the construction of the Jade Dragon Statue, by preforming a series of quests to get lots of Jade.
– I met the Jade Dragon in person. A very old yet wise chinese dragon, named “Yu’lon”. This dragon is a shape-shifter, like our western winged counterparts. Her form is a small Pandarian cub, named “Fei”. She is dying, and plans to be reborn as the Jade Statue (which is why the Pandarian are feverishly trying to complete it, but are two weeks behind schedule).
– Admiral Taylor called me back to camp, telling me the Horde are planning to attack.
– I rode on the back of a Cloud Serpent named Mishi.
– The attack happened at the base of the Serpent, and a giant Sha was released when the tower fell. That sha…. was my doubts of defeating Deathwing. It was the size of him. It was being fed by my current doubts of killing it!
– After defeating my greatest fear, I had to kill smaller Sha. I also had to get Mishi to get Taylor and the others out of there.
– I was told to leave the Jade Forest; nearly exiled. And was flown to the Valley of the Four Winds.
– The jade dragon Yu’lon, told me to “find my purpose” of why I came to Pandaria, before dropping me off at the Valley of the Four Winds. Also told me that “you will find answers in time”. She also told me to prove to the Pandarians of the valley, that we are better than the Horde.

And my adventure continues. Questing used to be really fast-paced, but it seems to have slowed down to collection or killing ones. I’ve also been doing these ‘mini-game quests’. For example, I had to go to this river and get water using a bottle. Simple enough, yes? Well, this bottle leaks really badly, and can make the quest time longer on you if you aren’t careful.

I’ve also seen my share of competition. Not as bad as it would had been if I didn’t wait.
There’s also another issue. I’m not sure if it’s related to MoP, but I’m getting severe turning lag. Like my computer is suffering from a memory leak.
