September 25th: official MoP Launch Date, pre-order NOW! / MoP System Specs

Well, good news and bad news. The good news is, Blizzard has posted the official launch date for Mists of Pandaria: September 25th, 2012. Which is a month and a few days away at the time of this blog post. I’ve heard news that MoP was going to be released this month, but was delayed to the new date. I’m sure they had their reasons. And in a way, I’m glad. Because it gives me more time to prep.
The bad news, it’s Maintenance Day!!!! And the servers are taking longer than normal to come back up. And as usual, no word as to why.

So anyway, as I “patiently” wait for the servers to come back up in 1-2 hours from now (worst. timing. EVER. to come back to WoW), I might as well talk about the pre-order you can do, for MoP. You can digitally order the game now for $40, or $60 being the Digital Deluxe edition that has all the bells and whistles.
I bought two copies of the Standard edition; one for both my accounts. Costed me near $80, but it’s worth it. Now I’m all set for the release.
Also heard that in the week, or two weeks before the release, you can download a locked version of MoP, and it will unlock the second the game is launched. The reason why we haven’t gotten it yet, they’re still working on it! It needs to go gold first.

Going by the system specs, my computer should handle it pretty good. I just hope it’s “multi-account compatible”. As in, we all know Blizzard doesn’t support people like myself that run two instances of WoW on one computer. But Cataclysm is. Wrath of the Lich King was the only ‘stick in the mud’ when it comes to that.

As for what I plan to do of pre-release and post-release, train up like I did in WotLK; do instances and stuff. Gear up my chars, and then wait a week or two after the release to start my road to Level 90. Also, get their professions up (like Benie’s Fishing skill).
Also have to wait for Mr. Robot to update with its MoP gear to know what to get when it comes time to replace some of my hard-earned PvE gear. Might be interested in doing some of those LFR raid dungeons.
Proven to myself that a soloer for life can take down Deathwing, so there should be no stopping me in doing the many dungeons for MoP.
