Finally completed Living World season 2

I’ve never felt more thrilled to finally get this BS done. Finally doing the last two episodes of the season. The forced stealth area, is very.. very difficult (to where I feel impossible unless you’re a god at stealth mechanics). You have to be so precise with your timing to knock out your target before it turns around (or one of the robots comes by). …I just can’t do it. I don’t have the patience for stealth mechanics.
But thankfully, hiding behind a pillar actually saved my ass while my AI teammate seemed to keep the other enemies with them. And this time I didn’t die. In the next room I had to save my people from a boss that was draining their life force.. while stealthed. All the enemies (including the boss) were shielded. But its mechanic thankfully revealed a weakness to destroy the generators. Yet when I do, the boss would come by and place another one.
It seemed the task was to wait until the boss landed on a platform that you deactivated the generator, and knock him out… problem is he had a stealth remover bubble around him. So.. HOW?! I was failing so bad with this, but I came up with somewhat of a winning strategy. You have the ability to drop a trap around you, that greatly damages enemies inside the circle. Managed to kill most of them by doing this place and dash to get away from them attacking me, which also allowed me to get far away enough for me to drop out of combat and actually HEAL. Like.. why does this character not have any way to heal themself?!
This problem would become a greater headache for me later on, when my AI teammate ran off but said “deal with this!”.. and it was a boss. Didn’t know what the hell I was supposed to do apart from I think I gotta kill its rock elementals to make the boss drop its shield, but I kept dying. Worst part, I couldn’t run out. I was stuck in an arena that kept on teleporting me back in. Since I can’t heal I kept on dying, and getting even more frustrated.
Even watching a video didn’t help. This fight was literally a ‘git gud’ moment.
I did notice everytime I died and respawned, the boss’s health wasn’t going back up. So maybe this is normal? Though I didn’t like being forced to run alllllll the way back from the start of the story instance. This sucked, especially when I cannot mount in a story instance.
But after 10+ deaths, I finally got the boss down. And thankfully, that was the last time I would ever have to fight as a class I wasn’t familiar with. I got to fight as my Necro from then on. But it also reminded me just.. how dependent I am of my minions. Thankfully they’re not real players.

And finally, Season 2 was completed. And it also showed what happened that lead up to the DLC: Heart of Thorns. All I can say is, I’m glad we got to take down Mordremoth. He was truly a bigger threat than Zhaitan. Not to mention he caused the Sylvari people to be seen as enemies, as according to The Pale Tree, they were linked to the jungle dragon.
And now I’m playing Season 3… which is unfortunately linked to Heart of Thorns. As in it still wants me to unlock certain Masteries to continue the story.
But, thankfully, from what I’ve discovered on my own, I can go back to do that fairly
easy Meta Event to get the XP I need to achieve that annoying task. Though I should wiki what other Mastery things I need to unlock to continue said story in the future, so I’ll be ready.

But in my honest opinion: Season 2 is NOT worth the Gems. Though from what I read when trying to get help through videos.. you’re not actually supposed to solo these. They’re more designed for co-op (or a small group) in mind. Some of the bosses I fought
have raid-like mechanics.
If only I had a friend who cared about the lore as much as I did, who would be willing to join me. And if only said friend (or friends) would think like I do. Talking about Kovo and Nova, who would be the perfect friends to do these with.
