Exploring Xanadu Day 3 (stopped, for now)

Day 3, didn’t last as long as the last two days (infact I’m back home in Cele right now). Now I don’t know if you guys ever played Warcraft III, and how Arthas followed the whispers Frostmourne (and went insane). Well… Arthas was me yesterday, and Frostmourne, was again the thought of exploring with a wagon. And I think I might be losing it, just like he was.
I tried my best to just focus on the beauty that is this server, but the “is it possible?!” thought has been eating at me all day. I’ll be making another blog post after this one, discussing more in detail.

So back to the whole exploring part, I finally made it to Vrock Landing, which looks stunning; possibly the best looking starter town outside of Glasshollow, and it beats Esteron like there’s no tomorrow. I also saw a quite unique market (close to the one provided by Glasshollow). Trees everywhere, wooden fences designed to keep hostiles out (but guests can come in). A few merchants (one named ‘Adventuring Supplies’). Overall, really nice.

Next (and final highlight of the day), getting to the top of Mount Mortopolis; one of the highest points in Xanadu. Ran into only one troll, but luckily a bridge made it not want to chase me anymore. But at the top.. “breathtaking” would be an understatement. I had a nearly 360* view of the entire server from up here! I could see the fog from below, blocking most of the view distance.
It eventually thinned away. Now typically with mountain tops, I can easily see the server border from one or multiple directions. But with this server, nope. No coastline, just lots and lots of mountains. Huge world is huge.

And that’s about it. I do plan to go back to this server, as there’s so much more to see. But I have to take care of several.. priorities first. As said, I’ll be making a post after this about it.
