Oh…wow. So -this- is the reason it’s $40? Seems fair

Since the day I came back to ESO and discovered that this Morrowind ‘expansion’ wasn’t covered by ESO+, I was downright furious! And now…now…I can see why.
This…thing, I can also see why it says it was a ‘chapter upgrade’. It is, it really is. And it’s.. nice.

The old main questline? This thing throws it away..for an even better one. Instead of in Coldharbour, being all dead and stuff, having no soul, and having Lyris rescue you? You’re now on a boat heading to the heart of Morrowind. You’re soon captured by slavers, then rescued by someone you may’ve met in Deshaan. This..this is all new. Even after completing it, you’re taken to the large island where the DLC is to quest normally. This is mainly an alternate start for new players (and returning ones willing to roll an alt). I wonder how this is going to affect the rest of the zones of the base game of Tamriel. Because at this time, it might feel like the Dolmens are brand new.

As for the Warden class, I’m…I’m not sure about it. It feels like the Hunter from WoW during the vanilla years (of when Magicka was used to power abilities). Also unlike the Sorcerer, you won’t receive a pet from the start. This isn’t until you get to Level 12 of the ‘Animal Companions’ skill and being able to unlock the Ultimate ability (which is the bear). This is..bad. This is going to have mobs in my face, with a bow. I’m not sure how I’m going to be able to play like this, except keep backing up and pelting the target with arrows until it dies.
Also the skills of the Animal Companions skill, they all require you to move while casting. It will take time to come up with a build that I like.
