It’s been three days since I asked for help from the community, and I’ve not received a single response; not even a “I’ll look into it”. Was hoping with the turn of the year, the human race would be kinder and more considerate. Welp.. not in the WO Forum. 😛

Nevertheless, I’ve been going over a few deed redesigning ideas in my head to the point I just had to open up DeedPlanner and see if they could even work.
One idea in particular is kind of based off of my original (and I mean early 2010) idea of having my house sitting in the middle of the West wall, which overlooks the ocean.
Due to finally having multi-leveled housing(and interior walls), I tried to go with one of those fancy Spanish-style entryways(look at me being creative) of having the balcony being the overhang of what you walk under.
And I came up with this. I quite like it. The problem was dealing with Wurm’s grid building limitations(stairs.. why in the fuck do they have a half-tile version when there’s no half-tile walls or fences?! Do they just not give a fuck?), but I finally made it look like something a person would wanna live in (instead of a place to store crap in).
And as you can see, I also changed the perimeter of the main deed walls with a Wood/Stone alternating fence. This is more attempts of trying to “remove the ghosts”. Plus, I’m impressed how well the design is working.
In ways, this is great. It’s forcing me to bring back the (assumed dead or asleep) creative side of my brain. Though the secondary point of this build is to give Tulsi a place to live and work. He can make his own forge, but that’s gonna be ‘fun’ for him. And as I said before, maybe it’ll encourage him (and/or his parents) to allow him to get Prem time. Then maybe in the future, I could.. maybe even count on HIM to make stuff for me (or even imp my stuff).
Fuck, that would be the best thing ever. Then again it could blow up in my face.

And here’s an updated version. Just a recap, this is what my deed currently looks like ingame(without the Pine trees blocking the view). Big difference, right? THIS is what I’m talking out in “a complete redesign”! 🙂
Cart Garage has been relocated to the SE corner of the deed, the farm (with actual stables for my horses) has been relocated to the NW and NE corners(where I had it in the past). Behind the horse statue, Tulsi can plan out a 3×3 all by himself, and witness the ‘true fun’ of starting off in Wurm by making nails, planks, and fences on his own (the very thing I remember being very much against when angry was trying to show/teach me the game back in 2008).
Fun fact: The game’s core hasn’t changed since then. Unlike other MMOs who tend to make their games easier (which cause the vets to bitch about things given to you), Wurm has made your avatar’s life a living grindy hell for 7+ years! 😀
Lastly, I don’t know what I’m going to do with that large bare spot to the right of the cart garage (South side of the deed). If I had one of those HOTA Dragon Statues, maybe I could place the thing there. But for now, I’ll probably fill it up with trees.

Welp.. guess it’s time to start sawing some logs, making some nails, and removing some pavement. I estimate the redesign to be done in a day or two (maybe three, depends if I fall asleep from hearing the saw over and over).
One last thing. I want to see if it’s possible to use my sickle to pick sprouts from bushes and then place them to block trees from growing. It’ll look like a mess, sure. But at least I won’t have a tall tree in my face while trying to relax and watch the ocean.
