“You’re safe… for now”

So, this was going to be the day when we finally secure the dragon, and I won’t have to worry about her anymore. But like all perfect plans, there’s usually a wrench that gets thrown in it and fucks everything up.
And this was no exception. Garit never showed up, and Cybaru had to go. Renny was the only one of the three key people I needed on (four if you count my alt, but I can get him on at anytime).
I did convince Cybaru to bring her alt over, saying “if we don’t do it today, we might lose our chance”. While waiting for her arrival, Tulsi got on and hung around the deed. He also got in the way as I’m talking to Renny and trying to get to work on a iron gate.
One time I realized I needed more iron, but decided “Tulsi, if you want to spar so bad, then bring it on. Let’s go!” Kicked his armorless ass easily. Then he wanted to duel with me and then played a dangerous version of Hide and Go Seek. I made it easier by using one of my horses. Eventually found him in the mine. Got him to Bleeding. He started running away, yelling in Alliance chat before I slaughtered him. That was fun. Maybe that’ll teach him not to duel me anymore. 😛

Then Tulsi found B2’s now finished sailboat (the final peg was a bitch by the way) and just started pushing it into the ocean. Of course I didn’t like this and told him to stop, and he kept ignoring my repeated commands. This got pretty messy, to the part I had to literally evict him from my deed to make him stop. Could had handled that better by setting permissions, and disabling his option to push/pull. But he greatly annoyed me and refused to listen, even demanding I build him a rowboat.
The only thing (well, things) that made me bring him back, was his promise to push the boat back where I had it. That.. and him saying “what if I tell everyone about the dragon?” I wanted to call his bluff, but I also didn’t want to risk it….
I was forced to invite him back in. Great blackmail there, Tulsi. :/
(Might kick him out after we properly secure her, then he’ll have no leg to stand on.. 😛 )

We did talk it over in Skype, and I told him I would make a rowboat for him.. but ONLY if he promised he would use it. He HAD a perfectly good rowboat that was given to me, when we were still living up at Sandy Beach with Ivan. And he never used it. So WHY in the fuck should I make him one, when he won’t appreciate it?!
But he gave me a promise that I can evict him permanently from the deed if he refuses to use it. And that’s fine. I hope that doesn’t come to that, and maybe he’ll actually appreciate the journey instead of the destination. Who knows.

A bit later, a random person (named ‘Zpen’) popped up on Local, driving a rare Knarr.
After a short conversation, he said he’s looking for a lost alliance member. Instead of being kind and asking him the name of said alliance member, I said “Well good luck”. Being on edge, I got to make sure no one gets close enough to inform their unique-hunting buddies “IT’S HERE!!!”
To make sure he wasn’t saying that to distract me away from the dragon, I told Tulsi to run over and make sure he isn’t saying in his Local. But the guy kept going. That’s good, because I noticed the dragon was trying to literally fly out of the side mine door. An OSHI– moment, as she nearly revealed herself. But I got her away from that door.
As I was coming back, someone else entered my Local. Thankfully this was Cybaru’s alt, ‘Mijuku’. Added her to a team and lead her to where the dragon would be kept, and showed her what areas needed to be Stonewalled. She started using Stonewall on one of the walls, and got it sealed up. Then told me she was going to leave her alt in the mine to recover its Favor, and then she goes to bed.

Later on, kchat comes alive…. and it’s scaring me half to death;
[16:47:03] [Whykillme] Anyone seent he red drake hatchling?
[16:47:10] [Pingpong] top secret
[16:47:29] [Aristia] apparently plingplong level secrecy
[16:47:31] [Boobaby] Nope
[16:47:48] [Guzten] Nope, I’ve been looking in the NW, sofar I’ve only found the usual (trolls, hell hounds etc)
[16:48:13] [Boobaby] I don’t have the time to go looking for uniques
“Looking IN THE NW?!?!” I LIVE IN THE NW!!!
My mind is all “fuck Fuck FUCK!! WE HAVE TO SECURE HER NOW!!! I’M RUNNING OUT OF TIME!!”
Told Renny, who seemed like he didn’t really care what happened to the dragon. But, he actually calmed me down to a point to before I first encounted the dragon. He convinced me, that yes.. this is just a game. All that dragon is, is a bunch of code. And I’ve been losing sleep, over code? Who’s really the sad one? I think I am.
I feel ashamed getting so worked up over this. If we secure the dragon or not, it’s not the end of the world if the others find her before then. Maybe I might even be able to reach a deal to just be able to see her, if the worst came to worst. And I felt, better.
I really did overreact, all of this time..when there was nothing to overreact to. There are so many worse things IRL than worrying over a chunk of code in a video game.
Also, I think this could be the last time Renny helps me with this.

But in that conversation, I got another idea. It was of B2 to use the stake Tulsi gave me, to found a deed in the area infront of the mine. So we went on with the plan. Tulsi wanted to see it happen, yet kept going the wrong way and getting lost. But finally he made his own way to the area, and the deed was slapped down.
Though it’s not over yet. Phase 2 of this plan is to wall the area up using the existing wall-like shrubs as a guide, and then place a gate down. I can salvage the lock off of the existing gate.
With that done, I would imp the walls (and the gate) as high as I can go (which will probably be 30’ish). Yes I know I need at least 70+QL to hold a unique captive, but I don’t have the skills to go that high.
The reason I’m going with this plan, is it came from what Renny said. Yet I also doubt his words. First he said only a few champ mobs can bash walls, then he says dragons can bash walls.
But if I do nothing, these unique hunters -might- eventually get wise and mine around the deed, and pull her out. This is why I must get her out of the mine to lessen that risk. Hence why I must imp those walls.

Then all I can do is pray she doesn’t break herself out. If she does, then… well;
A: We’ll have a hatchling on the loose, and B: If the hunters capture her, then so be it.
Then again, her coding might choose to not bash the fences that hard, allowing me to repair them before they fall. So whatever happens, I know I did my best. It’s really up to the dragon’s coding, if she wants to stay caged in there or get captured by the hunters of when they eventually find her, then .. there’s nothing I can do. Renny is right.
Now, I need to get to work on said walls. I don’t know how long it’ll be until people get the idea of getting her out behind the deed (or if they ever will). But they’re actively looking on my side of the server for her, growing more desperate.
