I post this from Blackmoor; the location of the Impalong this year. As I speak, my stuff is very slowly being imped. I’m also having to run some graphics settings on Low in order to have a stable framerate. Yeah.. the new RAM isn’t helping, which proves “more RAM doesn’t help Java”.
Today has been quite the crazy day back in and around my deed, and I feel it’s only going to get more hetric.
I got Garit to come. He also, with a stroke of luck, had Marble at his deed and allowed me to complete the boat dock before I left for the Impalong! We then started working on a fence around the main cave door that the dragon’s in.
Speaking of the dragon, it’s a female. B2, my alt, discovered this (before having his throat ripped out by it). This is both good and bad (in more ways than one, but..). This means she’ll have a chance to lay eggs(once she turns into a full-grown dragon), and I can sell these for a HUGE profit. Yet this will also alert pretty much everyone that I have a dragon, and try to take it from me. Which is why I MUST deed the area before that happens. And B2 will have to be the one that owns the deed.
Yet, I wish she showed up a long time ago to give me time to deal with this.
I also decided to name it “Emeriss the Ferocious” (as it is my dragon). I feel the name sticks. I also have to feed it meat from butchered mobs I (or my guards) kill. An ironic thing is dragons will also eat fish, which is probably a parody from How to Train your Dragon.
Anyway, Garit is mining rock shards in my mine (as it’s the only safe mine around here that I know of). To cage a dragon, you need very high QL walls (80+). As he’s prospecting, I mention how I wanted to hire a Prospector to find Iron for me. He tried with his own skill, and manages to find an ‘Acceptable’ quality one (31QL being the max, which is UNacceptable).
Then we head north to where the dragon’s being kept, and he starts building walls around the opening. Upon first glance in the mine, I don’t see it and get worried. So I send in B2. The moment he gets in the mine, the dragon comes running right up to his face. .. Again, I freak out and log him out, hoping to save his life. It..didn’t. She killed him in two hits.
Honestly, I was expecting a K.O. with one hit. Garit got worried the dragon might try to escape for being close to the mine door. Resurrected B2 and sent him back in to lure her away from the mine door. It was once again met with a swift..agonizing painful death.
But with the dragon now away from the mine door, Garit installed the gate. At this time, someone else appeared in Local. The name was ‘Renny’ (one of my Alliance members (or “Dragon Friend” as I call them of my deed)). When I first saw the name, all I could think of was that rat from Ratatouille (who’s named Renny).
But this guy who speaks broken English (yet somehow I can understand it), he’s cool. Yet when he first arrived — and assumed the mine we were at — was where I wanted prospecting, Garit’s all “NO!! NOT this one!!” I went on with the gag and said “unless you want your butt on fire, I’d advise not to go in there”.
So Renny helped me out greatly.. like holy hell, he found TWO Iron veins of ‘Good’ quality(one with 50+ QL), and even a Silver vein! He even gave me a secret, that just by mining normally (and having 90 on both Pickaxe and Mining skills), you won’t ever have the need to WoA on a pickaxe. He even invited me to see his mine (near-ish to the Impalong site).
He also told me where I can find Marble. He said it’s more plentiful to the Southeast of the server (and will even show me where I can get some in an abandoned mine). All I have to do is go there, which I plan to tomorrow. I’ll just leave B2 at the Impalong and have him watch the Overflow coffins for our stuff. Though I don’t know if they’ll allow him to take anything that was imped fully and thrown in those things (even if he says “Dragonhead is my main”).
In any case, they’ll be there waiting for me to pickup.
And that’s about what happened. Lots of death (mainly of my alt).
