Yesterday was the Minecart Rapid Transit server’s 4th anniversary. And this time, of the other three times, I finally decided to attend. Why? I really had nothing else to do except watch Youtube videos.
Plus, Soleurs reminded me. So I thought “ehh, I should at least attend one anniversary!” and wrote it down on my calendar. Though my brain thought it was the 3rd, instead of the 4th anniversary. Aka, I miscounted.
Trying to even join the server got a bit messy, with the console of MultiMC saying it couldn’t load up Java. Fixed it by pointing to the correct path. Apparently the auto-detect feature bugged out after I had updated my Java version to the latest (which was a month ago).
And joining, it was pretty much as expected of typically coming back for a visit. The occasional “BENIE!!” praises and stuff like that. And then Soleurs PMs me to thank me for showing up. Yet he was known as ‘Moleurs’. The irony in this is he hated being called this, and now he’s calling himself it. The reason being of rumors of Yoshi doing the final ‘The Mole’ season, sometime this year. HOORAY for this! Hopefully we’ll finally have a game that doesn’t involve a single person that doesn’t have to lift a finger and still fucking wins!! >:(
Anyway, I asked him of where are the festivities, hoping things would be different compared to a typical visiting day. He said how they’re planning something for the 5th anniversary, and mentions Yoshi was going to do something as well that day. Though that never happened.
So I spent the day flying around the Old World, occasionally watching the chat for anything out of the ordinary to pop up. But it was the usual discussion about trains and planes.
Oh yes. There was this guy that was saying how Pewds (PewDiePie) likes the server, and people kept telling the guy that Pewds doesn’t even play Minecraft and stuff like that. Then the guy was saying how we need a statue in Pewds name, and said how he would give us a bad Yelp review and stuff like that. It was quite funny, and was the highlight of the day.
Then he starts using racist words against people, saying they ‘triggered’ him and that he’s autistic. Most people did their best to ignore him and talk in one of the private channels (going by the order of the Mods). Some, like myself, really wanted to troll him. Because he was just daring us. He seemed like a harmless troll, and that’s all he was. And eventually the Mods had enough of his crap and temp banned him for 30 minutes.
Even as I write this, I want the guy to come back and ‘troll’ us again. He reminds me of a person in Central City in /gm 1, asking to be killed repeatably. And if we didn’t, he would just keep yapping about something he cares about.
Just FYI to anyone that gets pissed off at me over this, I do NOT make fun of autistic people. I never have, and I never will. So cool your jets, Tumblr.
That was the only real exciting thing that happened in the afternoon. Left at 6 and ate dinner. When I got back, things had changed for the better. Suppoe was on, and he asked me to help him with a road. Of course I agreed to finally have something FUN to do on this server(that I like).
The road was unlike anything I’ve messed with. It wasn’t covered with the traditional black asphalt-looking blocks. The surface was stone brick slabs instead. And I questioned him, if this is allowed. Because the road rules strictly state that it must be made out of asphalt-looking blocks(black wool or black stained clay). His response was a bit shocking. He said that this is Omricon’s road and he’s helping him with it.
The moment he said it was Omricon’s, I saw the resemblance. I remember his city. B3, on the old world. And what “fun” I had to go through to get I-0 to Gund Valley. Basically, he wanted this tunnel to remain unchanged. I couldn’t even have a central line, which bugs me to this day (whenever I look at it). Since back then, getting marble from the Nether didn’t exist.
So I helped him for the evening, while also listening to autobus22 in another private channel talking about how utterly shit his life is (in order to get anyone to be compassionate). I was very much compassionate. No one should have to go through such a life like he is.
He also apologized directly to me for the way he had treated me over the years. I told him how “it’s just water under the bridge”, but really I have absolutely no idea what he was even talking about. I don’t ever remember him annoying me. But I accepted his apology nonetheless.
Anyway, after the talk, he asked me to check out his roads. I did. They were nice, but nothing really special. Then I went back to suppoe who was about ready to leave for the night. Told him I would help with the road (because that’s what I do). Even it being as awkward as it is. Not to mention the pillars. They look too advanced for me to hand-copy (while also focusing on extending the road).
As I’m planning and the day is starting to come to a close, Soleurs gets perms to do a firework show in Fairfax(the Old World). I decide to join this, but I would greatly regret this decision later on.
For when he did his show and everyone got the soundtrack to it, it…was Disney music. Oh. my. GOD I felt I was about to throw UP!! Seriously! All of this “wish upon a star” crap!! AHHHHH!!! I think I would rather listen to Justin Beaver(yes, I know I didn’t get his last name right) than this shit! I would even listen to the FRIDAY FRIDAY GOTTA GET DOWN ON FRIDAY song than this shit!! 😛
After being subjected to 12 minutes of pure torture, I..I apologized to Soleurs. I had to. I felt like an asshole and I wanted to make it right. I told him the show was actually pretty good, and I loved how well the fireworks were choreographed with the music. He apologized to the music, and told me he has three shows that don’t have Disney music (on July 4th and two Christmas shows).

Overall, this was a good anniversary. I met Chief again, who was his normal happy self (aka, wanting to shock everyone, but he couldn’t since he resigned due to college). I didn’t meet Tulsi, which is ohh so good. Having to explain why I blocked/defriended him on Skype is not something I wanted to mess with.
Oh!! I nearly forgot this! I’m now part of the MRT Discord group. Yes, Discord. That chat program I had to get to talk to that Elite Dangerous Exploration Expedition group (a month ago). I got the invite from frozen, who said “glad you came back :D” I wonder if frozen thinks I’ve come back ‘for good’.
But really, the Discord server is just there for me to talk to people off-server (like suppoe, which was never possible in Mumble). This is a good thing.
Tomorrow, the Europeans will be celebrating the 4th anniversary (for some odd reason, but whatever. I don’t judge). So I may or may not come on. Depends if suppoe needs me or not. I do feel sorry for the Europeans, though. I really hope they like Disney music as Soleurs is going to do an encore of the show that day.
