Impalong 2015 Post-Party / Damn.. a Knarr can hold a LOT!

The final day of the Impalong. Overall, my final lamp never got imped to 70. 59QL was the highest it got. But I’m OK with it.
We also had a few games. The first was a “find the five clues” game. There was five papers or something, that had info written on it. It was your job to understand the clue written on it and find the next one.
It was the second one that I got stumped on; to “find where Fo’s light is the brightest”.
After the winner was declared… Enki showed up again. 😛 This time, it was the final finale. This battle lasted over an hour! There were hell scorps, and a new type of mob I’ve never seen in my Wurm life. There was even a whale, near the token to the place. It was just sitting there chilling out, occasionally doing his “jumping out of the ocean” animation.

And there was also one time that I thought I was royally fucked. Sitting there dancing around this lava scorp on my horse, badly micro-freezing… suddenly my client freezes. It just couldn’t take it anymore.
Thankfully when I returned, the chaos was mainly over (and the mob I was attacking was dead). Again, no deaths. Came close, but no deaths. A lot of others weren’t so lucky; even not being able to get to their corpse. Enki (and other GM named “Idunn (GOD)”(last time I saw a GM with that ‘GOD’ tag was Oracle), teleported the unfortunate ones to retrieve their corpses.

After everyone was able to get their stuff back and heal up, William decided to get a group photo of everyone that helped with the chaos. We were to get behind the whale and then wave at him at just the right moment. He got a screenshot(I’m the one higher than the others, on my horse).
After that and I went back up to the imping area, William wanted to play another game. I’m thinking “I really hope it’s not ‘see how long you can survive'”. Instead it was a drinking contest. But due to the ‘reliable’ permission system, that idea was flawed.
Instead, we played Musical Chairs. The music was a bell. There were 13 of us who wanted to play (including myself). I tried to get an advantage by binding ‘Sit’ and ‘Stand up’ to two keys on my keyboard.
William rang the bell once, and everyone was to get up from these chairs and move in a circle. He rings the bell again, and that’s when you got to sit down quickly.
I managed to get 6th place. Not too bad. Didn’t win, but I had fun. The winner was Finn, who won a rare loom. Lol. Good for him. I didn’t care for it. Don’t even use the one I have.

With that, it was pretty much time to go. I got a participation prize (for playing the two games).. an 80QL lamp. At first I thought he said “lantern”. Took my brain to think, and when it finally clicked.. “HOLY HELL YES, gimmie!! 😀 ” This I can definitely use! This makes up for the one that didn’t get imped.
So I got my cart hauled back in my Knarr, grabbed my remaining lamp in their forge and threw it in my Knarr.
And with that, there was no real reason to stay (as people started to slowly go back home). I left the Impalong and went to FM.

Yes, I said “screw the shards”.. but I forgot they have Marble. I WANT.. some of that Marble! Also, Santa is still there. Which means the buffet is still there. Might as well take advantage while I can, for this one last time.
With only one horse pulling my cart (as I stupidly gave B2 the other), it was a slow ride up to the top of FM. But I made it up and got my large cart into FM’s public mine… only to forget I left my pickaxe back in my boat. Ugh.

Now equipped with my pickaxe, I made it back to FM. Going to mine 50 units of marble, as I don’t know how much my Knarr can carry (didn’t bring the large crates I had made. Not smart).
Thankfully, I didn’t even need the crates! Unthankfully.. I didn’t get that many ‘good’ shards. I got more ‘bad'(1-10QL) ones than good. 😛 I’m just thankful I got it all in my cart.
Back in FM, I chowed down on the buffet a few more times, and also bought 10s. Bought 3s and 80c worth of stuff. The most went to buying a Santa hat(the Christmas 2012 Santa gift). The rest went to getting a bear helm(the one Finn was wearing), and three skin rugs (a bear, a wolf, and a lion).

With that, I was ready to head home. But not without getting some free stuff. See, Telurius(a Community Assistant), started saying they were offering “a bunch of low QL tools” and other stuff. How can I not turn down free stuff? 🙂
He was situated at the guard tower on the main road between FM and The Howl.. exactly where I was approaching.
When I got there and asked him, he said they were in these four piles behind me; and to “help yourself” to what I would want. So I started picking around at what was offered. There was 50 cotton (grabbed), sickles, mallets.. all sorts of things.
I helped myself to five long bows, 25 bow strings, 25 war arrows, and a large shield. The rest I had no need for.
There was lanterns with lots of tar, but we already got two awesome lanterns. And if we need more tar, I know where I can dig some up.

Back at my Knarr, everything fitted inside with no problem. I was shocked of how much crap a Knarr can hold (without any crates too). I then set sail back to home. With a gale from the south, I FLEW up the inner sea and went through the northern passage in about 20 minutes! Good thing, too.. as it’s nearly 1am IRL. This day has really flown by.

But a lot of good (to me) has come this day. Tomorrow I won’t have time for Wurm, as it will be “back to normal” for me. A video review to do, and that top 10 games of 2015 list to compile. Busy busy busy.

Got home, loaded up the horse statue (I CAN rename it. Was worried) and got my horses and my cart all back where they were before I left. It’s good to be back home, in my own house. Sure, it gets boring. But at least my computer can tolerate it.
Go to sleep in my own bed. Get my sleep bonus back up to 5 hours.
