The Bridge – The game that makes your brain hurt

I’m not a fan of puzzle games. Mostly because, I fail at them and they make me ragequit. 😛
But if you do like them, you’ll like The Bridge. The game of physics and mind-fucking madness.
However, this game.. wow. It’s so amazingly done! It is a wonderful play on words, and the music is fantastic. You play the literally twisted reality, of the one that discovered gravity by falling asleep under a cherry tree, and having an apple hit him on the head; Sir Issac Newton.
Having just discovered gravity, you take Newton to his house where you do a series of physics tests(don’t question, just go with it). You can rotate the camera which changes the force of gravity in the level. You must help Newton to doors to escape these twisted realities.
Some doors require a key or two to enter, and you must manipulate gravity to get them.
If you screw up, you also have control of time itself and can rewind time to reverse your untimely death. So, there is no permadeath.

There’s also what Newton calls his “nemesis”, which is a living boulder with eyes. You soon learn that you need your enemy to assist you. If you lose it, you won’t have it to assist you. It’s like a Yin-Yang thing. Balance. One cannot live without the other. It’s the exact thing as I’ve said for most games that fall short, that “don’t have a point”.
What’s the point of being a hero, when there’s no evil villain to defeat? What’s the point of living, when there’s no risks in life? Every good thing must have a bad thing, or balance is out of whack. There can never be complete peace.
Yet, don’t tell me this when it comes to the beta server of WoD. 😛

Completing each chapter, gives you a famous quote from Newton in his own words.

So, that’s about it for this game. You should definitely try it out. It might question your own existence.
