Dead Space 3: Awakening – ….. What.. the FUCK?!?!

Visreal games has released a continuation of Dead Space 3, dubbed “Awakening”, showing what happened to Issac after defeating the final boss (if he died or not). A question I wanted answered since completing it.
Going by screenshots, Issac is NOT dead! Not even barely. Thank god for that. That would be really crappy to end the series like that.

It seems the threat isn’t over. Infact, it just got 5 times worse. According to the description (and screenshots), you head back to Outer Space (yay!) and reboard the ship, the Terra Nova (the one that had the regenerating assholes). Unitagologists have boarded. And about “the darkest episode of Dead Space is coming”.

It’s $10 on Origin. But I’m not sure if it’s worth it. The fact it’s $10 for a continuation, raises a red flag. It means it’s going to be short. An hour long at the most, maybe two. However, I decided to get it since I’m curious as hell of what happened to Issac after defeating the final boss. I didn’t want to be spoiled by watching a playthrough.
I will not have spoilers in this. I’ve “completed” it, yet… well, yeah. It’s best that you just play this instead of me telling you.

.
.
Playing it for a half an hour, there was a part where I just said… “this is too fucked up even for me. Especially at this time of night.”, and save quitted. Now I’m trying to think of ice cream and puppy dogs while curled up into a ball, instead of WTF I just went through.
An enemy I can’t kill. Enemies suddenly appearing in rooms then disappearing again. Am I truly going insane? Issac’s dementia might just do him in, in this EP.
Seriously…, Amnesia? This EP makes that game look like a kid’s game. When you feel the same level of ‘this is so FUCKED UP!!’ as Issac is, then you know you’re into this game. And I’m playing on a trainer here.

Rule of thumb; never play horror games like this one at night (especially with the lights off), if you get nightmares of creatures popping up infront of you, then disappearing before you can pull the trigger.

In the game, you keep hearing a strange repeating message: “They are hungry, they are coming”. Who’s coming, you wonder. As you play this expansion, you get your answer, and what “they” are after.

And so that’s it. Just play this if you’ve played the original game. I doubt you’ll be disappointed.
