WoW turns 10 years old
On a quite lighter and less ragey post about WoW, yesterday marked the birthday of the World of Warcraft. Sometime in late December(near New Years), I’ll be posting about a three post long thing about how I came to be in WoW. When I joined, and what I know now from then.

Special tidbits
Also, if you haven’t heard, at the launch of WoW, it went up to 10 million subs. That is quite impressive. Before I was so blinded by rage, that I didn’t really see this being a good thing for the future of this game.

Nobbel87 made a Q&A video, and the first question he was asked was one of my major gripes with WoD; “Why is the Iron Horde a threat to Azeroth?” Seriously… why?
His answer, holy wow. The amount of times I said “yes” would had been a porno movie. Like he understanded my rage and was saying things that were making me feel better.
He said he seriously wanted to see the Iron Horde actually prove that they are not to be messed with. Threaten our Garrison.. hell, even blow it up! Just do something to make us hate you all enough to kill you!
Right now, it feels like we’re here against our own will by Blizzard

Lastly, he said he’s planning to make a lore video of the Arakkoa. I’m so hyped to see this! As hyped as I was with Garrisons.

#justwarlordthings, are they holding secrets?
Final thing of this post before I go to bed, is this new trend going on with WoW’s Tumblr account, called #JustWarlordThings. It’s little tweets related to WoD that are light-hearted and funny.
Rygarius had his own tweet(even Hipogryphs can tweet), saying how his forces needed more resources, so he told them to build a tavern. Now this is funny…, but there’s something strange about this. Now I’ve seen this twice.
Anyway, look closely at the the background…., that does NOT look like Shadowmoon Valley, or even Frostfire Ridge! It looks like.. the Spires of Arak! Yet it looked nothing like the outpost for the Alliance or the Horde. Is this a sign, that we’ll be able to move our Garrisons in the future?!
For some reason, no one else is getting this theory. I seem to be the only one.

.
If what I’m saying is true… 6.1 might hold more surprises than fixes. Hopefully enough surprises to make me care for the Garrison again, as proof that they are listening.

What I want to see in 6.1 (that will probably not be added)

I am so close to quitting. But quitting won’t solve anything. Playing another game won’t solve anything. Smacking the devs of WoD with my keyboard until they break down and stop thinking they know more than us…? Maybe. 😛 I only wish I could do this and get away with it.
I haven’t played WoW in two days. I don’t even have a desire to solo Cata and MoP dungeons. I cannot get my mind off the utter bullshit that I’m faced with. I also feel every word I say in the WoW Forum is going to be used against me, because I seriously want to rip Blizzard a new one.

Why do I refuse to just adapt to the utter stupidity? I can’t, and I won’t. The fact NOTHING was changed since the beta.. the fact Blizzard refused to listen to their testers…it just makes me SO MAD!!! They are almost as bad as EA!! Here I thought SCS Software with the Hard Truck: 18 WoS series was bad…
If I had KNOWN this from the start… I would had permanently unsubbed both my accounts.. and gave Blizzard a big “FUCK YOU”!!!
And I seriously doubt Patch 6.1… hell, won’t even fucking let us test the damn thing in the PTR! The thing is listed to be released on December 2nd. We should had been in the PTR by now to tried it out! What the FUCK are they doing that’s so secret?!

.
… I have no hope for 6.1. Yet I can’t believe I’m actually, literally begging on my hands and knees for Blizzard to so SOMETHING to make me like WoD, since beta!
One thing I do not see changing in 6.1, are the way Professions are handled. Though I’m also quite neutral to it at the same time. Mainly, of professions I have no desire of(Engineering, Jewel Crafting, Armor Making, and Inscription).

Another thing, Apexis Gear. I see no change to this. Why? …Because it’s what Blizzard wants it to be. They want you to like grouping up with others to do the Apexis grind. They also like the fact it’s going to be as painful as preforming surgery on your own body, with needing this and this and this and that building, to make ONE fucking cloak(and also the rest of the gear not offered by Apexis Crystals)!
I rather do dailies. I rather have rep gear, like in the past. That gave me some incentive to do endgame content.
But there is no incentive. It’s all dungeons, and long-ass wait times of profession crafting I have no use for.

And another thing, is the Pet Menagerie. I care less about the Architect title, and the same goes to Pet Battling. I find this building will never be removed. Not because some people aren’t into it or like getting their asses kicked by the three Legendary battle pets, but again… it’s what Blizzard wants. They want it to be challenging. They seriously love the fact their achievements are so ridiculously hard to get.
They think they know better than the people that are keeping their game alive by funding it with our $15 a month. In ways, they’re right. …But not this way.

The final thing, and I really don’t care if it gets added or not(would be happy if it was), is flying in Draenor. Blizzard seriously needs to make a troll-proof poll of who wants flying, and who doesn’t. Base the final decision on that poll, and it will end the fighting.. one way or another.

.
That’s pretty much it. Will I quit in 6.1? ……yes, IF it delivers no help to me, I will. I’m also going to ask for a refund of the $120 I paid for(for both accounts) and not give them another damn dime by closing my accounts and uninstalling WoW from my computer…
A refund, would get some of the anger off my chest. But it will never remove the good memories I had with the game.

What I truly dislike about WoD

Putting this down on paper here. I’ve been quite fragmented on what I don’t like about the expansion even during the beta. But I think the #1 thing I dislike the most, is nothing was changed by the devs. They kept doing what they felt was best for everyone.

Garrisons, their Work Orders and Professions. There was a very, very lengthy thread titled ‘Professions are terrible’ on the beta forum. Blizzard not once responded to this thread. They ignored their very good reasons why this was a bad idea. In other words, they are all “We know what you need, you don’t!”
All of their bullshit classical politician speeches that they “care for their players” during BlizzCon. If they truly cared, then why couldn’t they had gone another approach? Did they just not have enough time to do so? Is this seriously Activision talking instead of Blizzard, making us think that Blizzard doesn’t care?
And if so, then why don’t Blizzard kick Activision out and go back to their own path? Because they like the money. …Look, I don’t know who’s to blame here, but a good amount of people are not happy.

Others are actually kissing Blizzard’s ass. They are the lore nerds, as I said in my previous post; the true Warcraft players.

Another reason why I dislike the expansion, isn’t Garrisons. I mean, Garrisons aren’t that bad. They’re new. They’re neat. The fact we can limitly customize them is…. well you got me on that.
But anyway, as I said, it’s not the Garrison. It’s the expansion itself. Some people have said how this is “rehashed content”. I too agree. It isn’t like a true expansion. An expansion, is new content. New zones. A higher level cap.

WoD? It’s Outland 35 years in the past, with a BS reason we’re going there. It’s the same zones, but with a new coat of paint. Yet during the development process, they had to cut off a few zones. Netherstorm doesn’t even exist, and Zangarmarsh is in the ocean(and is inaccessible to people that have no way to breath water).
Blizzard… I wanted NEW content. NEW zones. Not rehashed zones to give the teenage lore nerds fapping material! And also, like I had said in my beta blog, this is nothing but Blizzard offering 10th anniversary content.

I just wanted more newness, like the Spires of Arak. Things like this.

The truth behind “you can’t please everyone”

So I was preparing to “leave” my Garrison today, but I had a thought after making a response of a thread yesterday about suggestions to Garrisons.
Someone suggested custom music, and I suggested they use Soundtrack, an addon I used back in TBC that got updated this month, as a substitute. The more I thought about it, the more I thought that I too want to do this.
Sure enough, I can have custom music in my Garrison and in the Town Hall! So no more fucking chorus everytime I leave my Town Hall. And for the hall itself, I got music from Skyrim.

So anyway, been on the forums again. As usual, the threads of people wanting flying and not wanting flying are still going.
So, about the whole flying debate. It’s gotten to the point I just don’t fucking care anymore. I want both parties to STFU and wait for Blizzard to make their move come 6.1 or if it ever gets added. I really don’t care. Garrisons being less boring is all I care about.

But I saw a new thing popping up to give people another reason to complain.
It’s this “Personal Loot” system for dungeons; namely Heroics. Most people like it, others feel there’s no control over who gets the loot fairly.
So Blizzard decided to tailor to the people that didn’t like it, and went back to the old Need Before Greed system… and the forum went ballistic with threads left and right, some saying how tanks were ‘on strike’ until Personal Loot is back on.
And also, people telling Blizzard to stop listening to complainers.

This proves right there, Blizzard will never keep any majority of players happy. At least not me anyway. Not with Garrisons. If they took Garrisons out(as in never went that path), I think my opinion would had changed about WoD.
But no. 10 million subscribers say no. Because they’re mostly Warcraft 2/3 nerds. It’s just like I had said constantly. “WoD is for lore nerds.” Charts do not lie, when I see a influx of subscriptions that are higher than even Cata.
This kind of lore, I don’t give a fuck about…. as it’s not about dragons. 😛 Not even the Fey Dragons cut it. The only lore I do care, is the arakkoa. They did a good job with them.
I guess this makes me not a true Warcraft fan. I never was, to be honest. The only fan I am is of dragon lore. That’s it. I don’t give a rats ass about the Iron Horde. It feels like forced lore.
Why in the fuck are we even in Draenor? We destroyed the Dark Portal. If Gul’dan makes another one, we’ll destroy it too! Outland is dead to me. I don’t care about what it looked like 35 years ago. Ergo, why I don’t care about flying.

But the game’s only been out for a week. Who knows in a month or two’s time, if the numbers will stay that high. With so many people threatening to quit because of no flying and other stuff.

Another depressing WoD post

Beta’s been over for two weeks now, and in about three hours will be one week since WoD launched. And on the 23rd, will be a year since it was announced and I made a blog post about it. I’m sure tomorrow’s posts on the forum will be “One week, your thoughts on WoD?”
Speaking of it, I haven’t played all day yesterday. It was supposed to be a day of soloing old content. But I’ve just been so damn bummed out over Garrisons.

The Garrison, the brainchild of the entire expansion, is an extreme disappointment from the hype that was promised.
Going over my just under a year blog post, I can’t believe how hyped I was for Garrisons. And all the points I made about Garrisons that were so cool. More like a fool.
But why do I dislike Garrisons so much, where others actually like them as-is? Let’s see here;
1) Followers get boring overtime. How did I not know this was going to be an issue in the past?! What makes Followers boring, is you constantly got to tell them to go on missions and make sure they have that counter, which also drains resources. You literally waste more resources than you take in.
2) Waiting four hours for 20 resources via the Lumber Mill, every time. Garrisons in this form are a massive time sink.
3) The feeling of pointlessness, once you finally get your Garrison to Tier 3 and all of your buildings to it, then realize there’s nothing more you can do with it.
4) I can’t RP in my Garrison as I could in Azeroth. As in, take off my blood-soaked combat gear and get on something more comfortable. The Garrison is a military base, not a home. And no amount of Blizzard’s sugarcoating will make it better.
5) No ‘home’ building for Garrisons, to have true player housing. I’d have it instead of the Inn, or whatever plot if they ever decide to do it. I hope it’s a Medium or a Large plot.

That’s pretty much all I hate. But, when re-re-rewriting this post, I had an idea. I still got ‘my old house’ that’s Southeast of Undercity. Yet… I kept seeing low levels or people hunting for veins/herbs and check the house because it’s there, then leave. Plus it’s a pretty long, awkward flight around the huge bay separating the North and South sections of the Eastern Kingdoms.
Yet also, this is closer to true Player Housing than the Garrison, which is quite upsetting and also hilarious at the same time. Yet, even in EverQuest, there was still no such thing as Player Housing. What I’ve done for years is pretty much the same in EQ; find a house with no NPCs inside and miles away from any major places.
Unfortunately, the Horde will still be paying me a visit from Undercity.
…But I think I rather deal with this than Garrisons. Just put someone else “in charge” of it until new content comes, so I can focus on soloing and making money again.

Basically, exactly what I did when it came to the house in Skyrim’s house-building DLC. Found the house too damn big for what I needed, and gave it to my Housecarl. I got to give temporary control of my Garrison to a trusted follower.
So probably Admiral Taylor’s ghost that haunts my Garrison, yet is still able to help.

Funny thing, though. Another thought. How the content has been pretty much unchanged since the beta ended. The only difference is the Garrison Campaign isn’t there, and Level 100 Garrison Invasions(what I’ve read from Blizzard themselves) only trigger if you do the Garrison Missions and start acquiring Apexis Crystals.
Eventually this will piss off a group enough to want to invade your Garrison.

Speaking of Skyrim, I’d go back to it ’till 6.1, if I have a guarantee it won’t crash and freeze. Sadly, I’ll never get it. Just like for worthy content in 6.1. I feel it’s going to be an even worse disappointment than the Garrison.

Second Level 100, and the drama bomb that followed

Benie is now Level 100! The fuckers that owned my Rogue, I made them pay. They made me bring my main.
But after it, I was faced with a dilemma that I still can’t pull out of; full-on game depression. Caused by one of Blizzard’s ‘brilliant’ decisions.
I had no idea, I needed to get the Tier 1 Lumber Mill up and operational by Level 94. That was my only way to get quick Garrison Resources for Level 100. The issue wasn’t upgrading the Garrison itself to Tier 3. That actually came barely, with one resource to spare.

That decision to “wait” ’till Level 100 to get the Lumber Mill working, is costing me in extreme downtime of making my Garrison like it was in the beta. Not even a reward of an extra 5k resources for being in the beta. The only “reward” is the satisfaction I helped make the game better. That whole warm fuzzy feeling thing.
Damnit. Not getting to the point here.

Ok. I hate the fact I have to wait four fucking hours, to get 20 resources from the Lumber Mill. I need it quicker, and I need a shit-ton more! I want my Barracks to Tier 2 so I can get a Bodyguard, and start working on Apexis Crystal getting. I am not known for patience.
They want you to enjoy the Garrison. This isn’t enjoying. This is simulating a fucking F2P mobile app!! It makes me feel I’m playing Angry Birds Go with its day-long recharge time. The reason I got bored with it.

This has depressed me to the point that not even soloing dungeons is fun. It’s that “what’s the point?” feeling. Doing Cata and MoP dungeons and raids for real, just doesn’t interest me. The fact I’ve already done them on the beta, there’s really no point to do them again. It’s also the feeling of being spoiled.
What’s the point of watching the movie again when you found out this guy dies or whatever? The same goes to this. It takes the fun out of trying for the first time.

Though I believe what caused this, is the pointless feeling of the Lumber Mill. The fact I didn’t get it when I was leveling, doing it now feels like an utter waste of time. No matter how many trees I tell my workers to cut down, I still have to wait four fucking HOURS for 20 resources!!
I’ve been too damn used to how it was in the beta. Back then, the job was done in 30 seconds and you got 200, not 20. Seriously.. fix this BS!!! I shouldn’t be having to wait four hours for 20 resources! I can acquire more resources by using Handynotes’ WoD plugin and locate all the Garrison Resource chests(and also kill rares), then by the time it takes to generate 20 resources!
But maybe this was Blizzard’s plan all along. They don’t want you to rely on your Garrison to generate resources based on what you bring in. Yet, what’s going to happen when you run out of rares and resource chests? You have to rely again. So that defeats that thought.

Garrison Missions also award resources, yet I haven’t seen one since I got my Garrison to Tier 3.

The Road to Level 100 – Day 3

Servers came back up at 11:02am EST, an hour earlier than they said they would. I cannot say this is good as there’s more reported server stability issues over with the European servers. They also did rolling restarts with them.
I hope to have my Rogue hit Level 100 by tonight. I’ve been using these flasks I’m buying from my Garrison to increase my XP intake by 20%.
Currently, they raised the population caps back where they should be. Hopefully there won’t be any issues this afternoon/evening. And also I’m closing in on Level 100. I’m Level 99 now.

What are my plans when I hit 100? None. Not even planning to level my Garrison to Tier 3. All of this was just a test by my Rogue, to see how bad it’ll be on launch day. The real deal will happen in a few weeks when Benie enters Draenor. By then, I shouldn’t require help for a lot of unsoloable quests that others can solo just fine, and blame me for being bad…

EDIT: I’ve done it! I’ve hit Level 100! But as a side-effect of putting resources on getting to 100 quickly, I don’t have enough to get to Tier 3. But this is fine. As I said on Day 2, this Rogue is just a test.
I’m debating if I should just go on and send Benie in. I mean, sure, Day 1 was pretty chaotic, but it wasn’t THAT bad. Besides, it did get better as my Rogue progressed to the point in Nagrand, there was hardly any kill stealing. Just me cussing at my monitor when fights don’t go my way or take too damn long to complete.

But with Benie, I’ll have my pet to assist me. My Rogue, I had no one to help him. Though my Rogue managed to get through areas that my Hunter cannot(aka, avoiding targets and sapping them to be more manageable). All classes have their strengths and weaknesses.
When I do get Benie on, I won’t be wasting resources on XP increasers. But I think what could make it harder, there was no 1,000 resources when you first open up the cache. It starts at 5 resources.

One other thing. I dunno what the hell is going on, but my Rogue got no new Garrison Invasion quests. Even at 100, there was nothing. I assume you get them once you upgrade to Tier 3.

….
Actually, you know what? Screw it. I’m sending Benie in. Blizzard is doing everything humanly possible to keep the servers up as long as they can. I seriously want to give them all hugs as a way to apologize for all the mean things I said about them.
One thing that does bug me, is the outpost building choices for Southport in the Spires of Arak. My Rogue picked the shady dealer one, just like my Tauren Hunter during the beta. Yet I didn’t get a follower from it.
I really want the Arakkoa follower at the end of the questline. He was an awesome bodyguard for my Hunter; being a Shadow Priest and all.

The Road to Level 100 – Day 2

And we got a bottleneck of players all behind UNDER MAINTENANCE barriers. And while we wait, it’s been pushed forward another two hours. Now maintenance *may* end at 2pm EST.

Been watching a hilarious as always video of WoWcrendor and Jessie Cox, doing the same thing I did yesterday but on the Horde side.
Instead of cussing at the kill stealers, they were all “YEAH!! Got another one!! Do you believe in miracles?!”

EDIT: Servers are now back up. Just as they said. There was a brief delay in logging in, but I got in. Hope that they got all the shit fixed now.

I’m now Level 95. Halfway to 100. But it’s really getting difficult for me. Mostly because, I don’t normally play a Melee class. I’m eating more than I’m killing. Quite upsetting.

EDIT2: Bit of a progress report. Now I’m Level 98 and have completed Talador and Spires of Arak. Have moved on to Nagrand. Two things to also report;
1. Of the early questline of the Spires of Arak, the “disguise as Reshad” quest has been changed. You now have to fight the Adherents. They won’t just fly off after being tricked anymore.
2. Thanks to help, I found a thing that might help Benie once he enters Draenor(in a few weeks from now) and starts his road to 100(though he won’t be able to use it ’till Level 97, aka the Spires of Arak). Got a special mining pick that can increase the speed of Mining, and it doesn’t even have to be equipped.
3. The continued annoyance of my “friends” not even bothering to say hi and ask how I’m doing. It’s reaching the part I’m about to just remove them from my friends list. I don’t want to do this. But I also don’t like having friends that don’t wish to talk to me.

At one time I also had to wait an hour to login due to the limited player cap. Though it is Friday, so that’s to be expected.
But Blizzard has an idea to fix this and make the server more stable to boot. This means, more maintenance tomorrow morning. They’ve backed it up to 6am instead of 8am when it starts, and have it finish at 12pm(to try to not extend it past that).
Though I’m going to have very limited playtime after it, as real life will be calling for awhile. But at least I’ll be able to play later.

The Road to Level 100 – Day 1

Writing this post from the safety of my Tier 2 Garrison’s Town Hall. As in… it’s not safe to step outside. Latency is increasing once again(though slowly). To say this is just Day 1 of launch and this is “normal”.. no. To me, this is just like the beta.

Been questing with my Rogue. Finally got him to 91. Now he’s my highest leveled char on Live and first Alt to hit 91. The kill stealing has continued. Though it isn’t worse as I had predicted. In some situations (like in Shaz’ghul) it’s actually helped to complete quests faster than on the beta.

I also got two new quests that involve professions, yet I didn’t need the skill to accept them.
Anyway, to get to the whole “just is just like beta” part, I got my Garrison to Tier 2 and slapped down what buildings I remembered(and could). Have noticed three things;
1. The Barracks can no longer be upgraded to Tier 2. You have to wait ’till you’re near or at Level 100 to do it(either get the Nagrand outpost or be Level 100). My guess for the change, to make it so you can’t have a Bodyguard ’till then. And since Bodyguards are Level 100, it makes sense.
2. Even though I have a Guild, I still can’t display my Guild Banners in my Garrison. Still have to do Draenor dungeons with my “Guild”… UGH!! Well, it’s just a slight unfortunate thing. Nothing to fuss and threaten death on Blizzard over.
3. Mr “I could do better” is back, but… a lot more tolerable. As in, he doesn’t spam anymore. Saw him staring at one of the paintings.

Moving on, the server was preparing to restart. I did a Garrison Invasion quest. Died a few times, but got it done. Noticed there’s no more medals for completing it. It felt.. dull. All I got was XP, gold, and a pat on the back.
After the restart, I found myself on the road to my Garrison. Went back, and noticed I kept getting bounced back out. Suddenly I realized the “Transfer aborted: instance not found” message. And of course, people in my Garrison.
*sigh* Went through this on the beta. This should had been fucking FIXED by now!!

Within 7 minutes, it fixed itself. Then I started getting issues being really slow to attack and loot. This is not good as a Melee class. This lasted a good hour, but also fixed itself.

Now, Blizzard is taking steps to fix the problems. And that is limiting the amount of people that can get on the server; something I haven’t seen since the days of Vanilla and TBC. We wait for people to log off to take their place. They’re temporarily doing this, though.
They also know about the issues with Garrisons and stuff and are working on fixes for them. Hopefully the fixes come soon and the player cap is removed. Though I can see getting kicked out due to a crash or a log out is going to suck…
On a side note, my “friends” are still like talking to a wall. Sometimes they never respond, or never bother asking how I’m doing.

EDIT: And now it’s worse. My Rogue’s in Gorgrond now. Level 92. Was running to a quest giver when I got D/C’d. Tried to log back in, stuck at the character select screen. Wound up back at the Shrine in MoP. Hearthed back to my Garrison. People saying they can’t leave or be disconnected. Oh wow. I… wow.
Just like beta. I can’t fucking say this enough! It makes me glad I as Benie decided to wait. Made the right call. Still no word of a fix. But at least Blizzard knows about it.
On top of that, even battle.net itself is having issues. The forum is down with a 500 Internal Server Error!

EDIT2: So there’s going to be emergency maintenance tomorrow morning, starting 8am EST and ending around 12pm EST. Four hour maintenance. Though it can easily take longer than that if something goes wrong.
Unlike the masses of dissatisfied customers, I for one implore Blizzard’s attempts to make the servers stable for all legit players.
Hopefully they fix whatever’s going on. Some day the DDoSers are back for more. They seem to think that keeping people from playing WoW is better for everyone.
Other people, in their own “native tongue” are blaming Blizzard for this. Saying they had 10 years to fix this. 10 years to know how bad traffic was going to be.

Whatever’s the case, I did decide to man up and try to leave my Garrison. No problems. So I went back to Gorgrond to continue questing and managed to hit 94 after doing three bonus objectives.
Now questing in Talador. Picked the assault tower with the cannon once again. It seems they really nerfed the damage. I used to be able to 1-2 hit bosses. Though they still do weaken Elites enough for me to finish them off.
But seeing how I played ’till 6 in the morning (and I’m very tired), I’m heading to bed. I hope the servers are back up by the time I wake up. But if not, then something’s wrong. But it’s better for them to try to fix it than me.

The final countdown to WoD (WoD IS RELEASED!!)

Right, so… WoD activated 15 minutes earlier than said! My Rogue was the first to go through the Dark Portal to “test” and see how bad leveling is from the start. So far… hardly any competition.
But now he begins the main questing.

How it got to this, I flew to the Blasted Lands around 10:30pm’ish as Benie, and staked a spot to sit and chill for the next 6 hours. Invited my Rogue to hang out with me. We talked. We did things. Benie got into a Mammoth party. Things like that.
But somehow, the expansion activated around 2:45am EST, 16 minutes earlier than said. Maybe they felt we waited long enough.
Anyway, when it got activated, everyone got a quest. The quest was similar to the one I got on the beta. Same wording too. Just fly down to Khadgar, and instead of picking “The word” as the option, it’s been changed to “FOR AZEROTH!” Nice change.

As I said, my Rogue will go in my place. Which literally is rewriting my history. For the first time ever, I had an alt to do expansion content before my main. And for the first time ever, an alt on my second account.
Now if you excuse me, I got some Iron Horde to kill and a Garrison to establish. For Azeroth! And it’s also time to put my knowledge from playing the beta to good use.

.
EDIT: So playing the rest of the intro, I got lagged out twice and almost a 3rd time. Most people were obviously blaming Blizzard for this, but some smart people (and even myself) knew better; the servers were getting DDoS’d to the point that half of the servers went down.
Though Blizzard also “takes the blame” by pushing rolling restarts to fix a few things on the Horde side(according to Twitter anyway).
Though also, the fact it was happening gave me an advantage, as a lot of people were getting fed up and leaving. So more kills for me! 🙂

Finally completing the intro, there’s now a new debuff called “Panicked Run” during the “Run to the boat!!” scene, where you’re unable to mount. So no more epic ‘getting on the boat as a dragon’ scene. 🙁

In Shadowmoon Valley, it’s just as bad as I thought of Day 1 of the launch; multiple people steal killing eachother, all to complete quests. I knew this would be an issue. Said issue got worse and worse as I tried to start my Rogue’s road to Level 100 and be part of my history.
Mainly, what was making me curse is the quest involving killing Orcs for the Draenei. Namely, the ones near the central town of theirs.

So, I dunno if I’m going to go back in. Tired of the kill stealing. I imagine it’s going to be even worse now the fact it’s day. Though you also got people that have to work or go to school.
