Came into Wurm today for two reasons; to wait for this guy named ‘Momarr’ to contact me, and to get more meals(soon as I logged in, my char threw away my last two “useless” meals).
I went my merrily way to Roadside. Angry told me that’s the place to ask. As I was passing Jup’s old place, there was something sitting at the base of the hill. Looked down and it was a meal. Picked it up. Only 28 damage, 50’ish QL. FREE MEAL! 😀 Finders keepers. 🙂
Once arriving at Roadside, I asked for meals and walked over to the token.
Waiting for what seemed nearly 10 minutes, I said “Is anyone there?”, a villager named ‘Kyrmius’ answered that call and gave me three meals, then I was ready to head back home, but decided to head to NT to see the tunnel for myself.
As I neared NT’s west access, I got the PM from Momarr I’ve been waiting for. After some discussion, he decided to build the Cog at Small Bears! That is a godsend for me, as I won’t need angry. He can build it for 20s, but it could take 1-2 weeks.
I’m considering this Cog a birthday present for myself. My birthday is next Wednesday. 🙂
He then told me something angry wouldn’t wanna hear… he’s the mayor of Arcadia Bay. Angry knows Arcadia all too well, and it would hurt him very much if he found out about this. Not to mention it would put too much on him after what happened with him and Poonager a few days ago.
After the talk, I left the access road to Small Bears and swam north, following the location that Xallo, the leader of the ocean access tunnel project, laid out for us. I went into the tunnel and found myself getting lost countless times. Finally what seemed like 3 minutes, I emerged on the Bay of Bears side of the tunnel, and got my barrings of where I was… RIGHT where I was going to put my pier.
I went up the road, turned left and went to Small Bears. I then spotted Kylebooze, the guy that gave me the writs to Neveron. I PMed him and asked where is he living now. He said a place NW of Roadside named ‘Onoldeler’. Never heard of it. Anyway I hopped in the SS DragonHead. My sailboat needed a well-deserved rest from my 2-day vacation around the Home server.
I told Kyle I was going to NT through the tunnel. He also wanted to go so I offered him a ride on my rowboat and he accepted.
Soon we went into the dark tunnel. Even with my Gamma at 100%, I could barley see because of the VERY low ceiling. The turns where killer with that turning lag, and I continued to get lost. Not to mention there where times the tunnel floor was too low for my boat to pass over, so I had to get out and drag it.
Eventually, we made it to NT. I happily went around the town like I’ve never seen it before from this perspective, which I haven’t.
I then had a crazy idea to dock my boat near Aegis. And did. After trying to ask the villagers there if it was OK, and not getting a response, I went home.
With the hell I went through to get from the Bay of Bears to NT, it’s going to be a long time before I bring all of my boats here and build a private pier for them. But still, just getting to NT from the ocean, is an awesome feat.
