My thoughts of Tearaway Unfolded (the full version) so far

So I got the full game yesterday, and as I said I was going to play it to see if it was worth the $20. So far, it definitely would be IF I wasn’t playing this. In other words, if I had a friend who I was watching playing this game, I would say it would be worth $20.
The full game ‘upgraded’ my Demo version. So that’s a thing.

To not reveal any spoilers, the game is still really fun. And I find it funny how the game seems to treat the Dualshock 4 controller like an advanced device. Also, I absolutely freaking love how some puzzles require the player to tilt the controller, or push buttons in a certain way. Some puzzles even have the controller’s buttons as platforms. It’s a brilliant, original mechanic (and I’m not being sarcastic here)!

But there’s one thing that still bugs me. And it’s the drawing aspect. Draw a face. Draw a cloud. Draw a raindrop. Draw this, draw that… it feels so childish. What’s worse (yet is also good at the same time), the game will accept even a scribble and say “You are a GOD at drawing!!” It’s hilariously bad.
Also, I can barely move straight with a controller.. let alone draw by using the big button at the top of the controller (the one above the sticks). Plus, you have a certain amount of time to draw something before the game says “FUCK it! Just put whatever the hell this is in the envelope.”
Also, how it seems to keep pushing at the PS4 peripherals (the camera, the microphone.. etc) is not good. Thankfully it doesn’t get in the way of the gameplay.

And I’m not done with the game yet. This is a HUGE… huge game, folks. Two times, I felt it was going to end. This is so much similar to my playthough of Tomb Raider. How I felt several times, the game would end. Yet a curve ball gets thrown in, changing the plot. It’s rather nerve-wracking.

.
EDIT: I’ve completed the game. Or should I say… the game completed me. The ending, was a story all of itself (it also felt very childish).
Overall, fun game. Definitely worth the money. This game is a mind-blower of how far video games have gone. Since I already played it, I won’t be spending the $20. That decision is up to you all. This is a good kid’s game. No foul language. Some mild violence but nothing all that bad.

And before you ask, no. I’m not going to do a “Benie Fails At” of this. I would like to (just to show the awesome mechanics in the later game). But I need to send this game back to Gamefly quickly to get my next game. This one, I will likely be doing a mini-playthough (as I never did before).
