Alright, guys. I’ve gotten your emails of what I should do about Fallout 4. And most of you are repeating eachother, which has convinced me….
to not do a video of Fallout 4 for the PS4. Hearing how the PS4 and Xbox One versions both run with a 30FPS cap(which I’m sure in graphics-intensive areas, it’ll be even slower).
The PC has a cap of 60FPS, which I don’t really get as PC’s can easily go over 60FPS. And also, I played Fallout 3 (and New Vegas) on the PC. I think it’s only right to play Fallout 4 on the PC as well. That’s especially true as (hopefully) soon, I’ll be upgrading my RAM to 16GB, and get a new SSD C drive. The second thing will obviously take some time to get everything back to the way I had it, but it’ll be a much, much larger drive (current one is only 160GB). And the fact it’ll be an SSD, my computer will boot and load up so.. SO much faster. I’ve had this drive since 2005(making the drive 16 years old.. pretty impressive for a hard drive), and it’s pretty much the only thing I haven’t replaced since I had this tower. I pray (and also knock on wood) that it continues to work OK long enough for me to get a replacement.
It probably won’t be until April or May of this year, because I’m really short on cash and I need time for it to grow into something that I feel more comfortable to use.
But I feel that replacing the hard drive alone, is why my computer has been screaming at me everytime I play Modded Minecraft for an extended period of time. Also, adding more RAM isn’t a bad thing to have.
So yeah. No video of Fallout 4. I will still do a written review of the game.
And honestly, if I didn’t have this job of doing mini-playthrough videos (and had the money), I would had bought the game on sale when it was on Steam for $40. I feel like kicking myself in the head everytime for not doing it. Now I don’t know when, or if the game will ever go on sale again. And that was a rare sale for a game that was released late last year.
Bethesda is not EA, or Blizzard. They are a good development team. They do their homework. They do their hardest to develop. And it’s going to have bugs. Even Skyrim has bugs.
But I’m not blaming this job for “cheating me” out of getting Fallout 4 for PC, $20 cheaper. My real blame is on Gamefly. I could had been playing it if it wasn’t for the fact other people also wanted to play it.
But I can also put the blame on myself, for not wanting to learn how to do videos for my PC. I don’t want to have to deal with all of that shit with encoding, and making sure after editing, that the render processes at 1080p. I like the PS4 doing all of that work for me.
