The 3rd fiscal quarter ends today (which covers July to September). Soon we’ll see what big businesses have fared… such as Activision-Blizzard. As always, HeelvsBabyface was right on top of it to let us know. He also wanted to let us know that he’s hit 70,000 subscribers. Go him! 🙂
So anyway, the entire point of the video was to say, that he feels that WoW’s subscriber numbers are actually going to go up, due to the announcement of Legion (which was announced during Gamescon in August). His forecast is around 6.5 million. While others in the comments section, feel nothing is going to save WoW.
Though there’s also the beta, which he believes would be released in possibly a week or two after BlizzCon 2015. Also, just as you know, I’m not wasting $40 on a virtual ticket. And if I had a car, I wouldn’t even drive there to watch it live. I wouldn’t even do it for free. Not to watch political-style bullshit. I see that enough from my TV right here.
*sigh* I’m sorry, I ranted again about WoD, didn’t I? Right… where was I? .. Oh yeah! He believes if the Legion beta is good, it will definitely help. Here I actually agree and it even has me interested enough (that is, if I get a beta invite) to check it out.
As for my thought on their chances. I don’t see their numbers going up. They’ll go down. Though I see them not going down… quickly. What are they now.. 5.6 million or so? I’d say… maybe 5.1–ish? And that’s being generous.
I would also say that some may’ve actually hopped aboard the hype train for Legion, and resubbed (though in a week, screaming “NOTHING HAS CHANGED!!! FUUUUCCCCKKKK!!!!“). But, that’s just my prediction. I’ll see if I’m wrong, or close to that number.
