Achievement Granted – Wildstar Deluxe Edition

And free playtime ’till August 30th! Don’t even have to set up a subscription service. I was hoping I could get a better deal if I went with the Standard edition and got this upgrade, but the price difference is the same as the difference between the Standard and Deluxe editions ($16.05). So no cost-cutting for me, sadly. :/

ESO’s Tech Support has also responded (around 6:30 in the morning)… but a bit too late. However, I’m still waiting for Green Man Gaming to get back to me of that ticket to get my $15 back. I’m starting to get worried that I may not get a refund due to the sale expiring.
Due to this… I.. might give ESO another chance. Since the money has been spent (and I can’t close the account).
I’ve responded, asking “Why should I give you guys another chance?”, telling them how I felt. Yet also asking why was I missing the .dll, when I wasn’t. Mmmm.. dunno. Maybe ESO might be possible for me after all.

Anyway, enough of ESO. You’re here because I got the Deluxe edition. I have access to all chat channels now. And with the Deluxe Edition, I got the added ‘bells and whistles’… mainly I wanted the hoverboard. 😛

I had to ask several times, how do you go about claiming the rewards. I had thought I have to find a mailbox (as in WoW, rewards are sent like that). Finally I got my answer to check my account thingy, and there it was (with the other things I got). Was having a bit of an issue with claiming the hoverboard.
Basically, it’s similar to Guild Wars 2 (in terms of the rewards). Everything I got is bound to one character and that’s it.

Also, I deleted my char (my first one). And he’s sitting there crying because I’m about to delete him. I’m all “Don’t cry you big baby, I’m going to recreate you!” In the character select screen, I discovered I could had picked my race/class/path even in the Free Trial. It’s not like WoW and Guild Wars 2, where there’s class options on the right.
Here, there’s a button where it shows “Race”, “Class” and “Path” respectively. You click on them, and here you can select who you wanna be. Clever. So I chose once again to be a Human. But an Engineer with the Science path (as it would make sense as an Engineer).
I didn’t like the Explorer path. Felt too much like Guild Wars 2’s Vista bullshit. Jumping puzzles are not for me. I could had picked the Assassination path, but I felt that would be too harsh on my DPS.

The Engineer is kind of like a Ranger or Hunter, having pets (robots) that can help them. However, not always. My bots don’t seem to hold aggro as much as I want, forcing mobs to be in my face constantly. Don’t like that. However, I’ve been able to take down Elites (“Superiors” in this game) using the power of my bots (as they do pull the aggro off for awhile).
Also, I’m not in the same place as I was when I left the Arkship. It doesn’t matter, though. Just different quests and a different environment.
