First off I want to say I’m still waiting for Blizzard to unlock my WoW account, and I’m starting to get worried. It’s been past 24 hours and it says it may up to two business days to complete. Also, I haven’t even received an email from them about the email I sent them about what the hacker was doing to my account.
.
But anyway, I’m finally using that webpage editor angry suggested I try to replace my beloved Visual Page; KompoZer, to make “my own” homepage about the W2TS in my map in Minecraft.
How this got started is through the Minecart Mania thread on the Bukkit forums. There’s a guy who is I think a moderator of a server that has a subway. His name is “Etsijä”. He showed off a few stations that were made though Youtube last week, and I fell inlove with his Way Station.
Its station design nearly resembles mine, except it has it where there’s two catcher blocks. One to handle incoming and arriving passengers, and another to handle departing passengers. Quite ingenious, yet very simple. So simple I know how he did it… I think anyway.
Today, I got a response from him with him asking if he would like me to see how he did it through Youtube, and I agreed but added that the Way Station he has looks like it’s made for underground station use, and since my stations are primarily elevated (except for a chosen few which are at ground level), it would be tricky to redesign my stations.
He showed me that what I said isn’t really true, and showed a link to his server that shows a map of the subway, and pictures of the stations. Not really close up ones, but pretty good.
The site is in Finnish, so I had to get Google Translate to show everything in my language. It mentions a guy named “The Seeker” being the designer of the system.
I liked the thing so much that it gave me an idea to make my own, using my site to host it.
The design of the homepage currently is messy, I guess because I’m rusty. Been a long time since I messed with a webpage. But once it’s done and published, I will stop using this blog to post updates.
I’m worried that I might’ve stolen his idea. So that’s why I gave him credit for it.
