Not having VR (in VRChat), has its perks..

Before I begin, just wanted to say that on the 30th, a week from now (if everything stays the same), I’m going to be given the money to get the Vive. Likely be doing the free shipping (to keep costs as low as possible), and like I said before.. sometimes Amazon will be nice and ship it four or so days earlier than shown (happened for my original VR headset, got it a few days after I ordered it).
With that said and done, I’ve been counting down the days ’till the 30th (wishing it would get here sooner).

it’s been awhile since I actually did anything fun while on Desktop. Because all I’ve been doing is ‘feeling crippled’ I can’t express love to friends and my poly group (and going to bed early, feeling depressed and angered that I can’t move my virtual arms anymore).
…Never have I actually taken advantage of this– doing things that were hard (for me) to do in VR (yet easy in Desktop). And so, they are;
1. Being closer to my keyboard all the time (without a pesky headset over my eyes), I’m able to annoy Kovo even faster with more Kovo Quotes. 😂
2. Can go to the Rock-N-Bowl world and try to break my record of 287 (in hopes to get a perfect score).
3. Able to do climbing worlds, without my arms wishing they had a mind of their own and being able to choke me to death.. such as reaching ‘Base Camp 3’ in Climbing Carnival in half the time it took me to reach Base Camp 2 in VR. Just spam E, and you climb. Just be careful when going up ledges, as you can accidentally launch yourself off the pillar (had that happen the first time I tried and reached Base Camp 1).
The map maker is trying to fix this bug, though (thank goodness).
There’s also been an update that I’ve noticed while I was going up…

…the climbing picks actually show you how high you are (in Meters). That is cool! I can’t wait to see what it looks like in VR.

There’s probably other things I could do in Desktop (that were hard to do in VR).
