Actually been dreading this day of all days; feeling I’m being forced to get on Wurm, just to throw more money in my deed’s upkeep (then log off after). However, I over-calculated the time, and it’s actually the end of February when I need to. That is awesome.
Though, Wurm had different plans for me when I logged in for the first time since coming home after the LunaLong ended, in the form of a New Player tutorial. It’s pretty cool, how it walks you step-by-step, from moving, to understanding how certain mechanics work. Even showing a little video (or a still image). Very useful for people like Tulsi, who are just starting up.
The UI has been updated a bit. There’s been more things added to the quickbar I have positioned just over the chat window, including a toggle for Sleep Bonus. And speaking of that, due to server instability.. I got an extra 5 hours of SB! A lot of potential here of using it to grind skills, such as DH with mining, and B2 with ML… if I had the will, money (to get them prem), and especially the patience to do it.
Decided to take a casual walk around the ‘neighborhood’ of local deeds. Lots and lots of nasties out to eat me (and forgetting what key I had ‘guards!’ bound to), and also taking Uma out. And surprisingly… not much has changed! Even Wargasm’s highway, isn’t done yet. It’s also starting to fall apart at Darkoden’s deed. Not sure what’s going on. It’s like, he gave up on it, but not fully.
It’s like, everything’s been placed in stasis. No new deeds on the shoreline of the lake, everything has simply remained the same since I was last on. It’s creepy, but also awesome. Maybe I don’t have to move afterall (I don’t really want to, I like it here).

One thing I know that has changed, Tap Dance. At least, I hope it’s changed by now. There was a contest asking to redesign the starter deed, but I’m not sure what happened to it (or even who won the contest).
Looking in the forum, I see something about redesigning Tap Dance Market, but no final decision of the starter deed. How odd. Though, the fact Retrograde is literally allowing you to redesign Tap Dance in your own image (via Deedplanner), of course this is restarting the creative juices of Dragontail Hideaway… and boy do I feel an idea coming up.
.. Back in another blog post. 😛
