You know the one, with the ‘GrubHub jingles’ and how “it makes you boogy”, and Matpat discovering undeniable proof the GrubHub Universe is the future of the Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius cartoon show, and the infamous ‘Milkshake Lady’ (who’s able to dance while
pregnant) getting squished by a giant GrubHub bag in the middle of town.
–
But anyway, GrubHub is the only food delivery service that covers Kingfish, a local restaurant here.
Getting the order setup was a bit confusing, and no cheesesticks. But I was able to get a baked potato and a brownie (both were pretty good.. probably not so much for my insides but ehh). Placed the order, and I noticed there was no immediate way to track my
order (unlike DoorDash). This took about 3-5 minutes until it popped up.
30 minutes later, the driver was nearly here but passed by us, and kept going back and forth. I got a call and them asking me where I was. I tried to explain with what I could understand from her. Where they showed the order to be delivered was different than what it showed for me.
Thankfully the person found me and made the delivery. I then noticed I couldn’t review the order (unlike DoorDash). I looked everywhere on their website and saw nothing about how the order went and stuff. There’s not even a way to use their help system.
—
An hour later though, I got a text message asking me about how my order went. Ok, that’s cool. They give you time to eat your food before you rate.

And finally, our local Meijer’s is not covered by GrubHub. This is bad. The other thing I didn’t like is the brownie I got was supposed to look like this..

What I got was just the brownie. No ice cream. No whipped cream. No chocolate syrup. Just a brownie and that’s it. And not even an option to give me what’s in the picture.
So yay. False advertisement. $4.00 for a single brownie, of something I could had easily made with the right ingredients following a brownie mix recipe, and gotten more for my money.
The one from Frisch’s Big Boy actually looks like the damn picture! Sure it’s a bit lopsided but still.. I get what I paid for. Wait, what’s that? Frisch’s doesn’t use GrubHub either?!
