I thought “this is probably a bug with AMD cards”, and decided it would be best to report it to the VRChat Devs (in hopes they’ll release a hotfix that’ll do a better driver version check).
Spoke to the acquaintance about it as well. I didn’t expect him to be able to help me.. but he actually did! He said he had gotten this error too, and it went away by getting a version from the website.
Given how busy yesterday was in VRChat (I was still able to play it, even with this message), I tried today to get the latest version from the AMD website; going through the same procedures I went before. And after the second restart, the message is gone!
Also, something I forgot to mention, is the version on the AMD website, is actually newer than what I had installed (not by much, but it felt very promising).

So what have we learned from this experience? Check the AMD website when the control panel detects an update, and I shouldn’t (in theory) have that message pop up again.
I also need to inform support that the issue has been fixed. Yet I still hope they’ll look into said message.

.
EDIT: Apparently after getting the new drivers, Windows 10 thought my secondary monitor is an audio device (ergo nothing was coming out of my speakers). Fortunately for me, the option to use my speakers was still available (I felt that the update had possibly killed the speaker port on my motherboard)… thank God that wasn’t the case.
—
And before you guys make fun of me, please remember that I have been with Nvidia for MANY.. many years, and haven’t had any of the problems that I’m having now (luckily, these problems have a quick fix). It’s something about AMD cards that require additional effort.
I would had stayed with Nvidia, if it wasn’t for the sky-high prices to get a 10xx card. And I was in a desperate situation.
I now know what to do when another update comes! This blog post shouldn’t happen again.

*yesterday…* AMD Control Panel: We found a new driver for your GPU! Install it?
